I bet Highgrove has every comfort going. Charles has never been one to skimp on luxuries!

Meanwhile I suspect Buckingham
Palace, Windsor and Balmoral are cold, never have enough hot water and the beds are lumpy!

I do agree with this totally, but Balmoral wins for me just by virtue of being in the Highlands, so do put me down for it!! 😂😂

AdaColeman · 02/05/2022 22:46

Oohh what fun to have a Royal Palace!
Please put me down for Sanssouci, Frederick the Great’s summer palace in Potsdam. Who can resist a bit of Rococo flamboyance!

Serenster · 03/05/2022 08:24

I’ll take Drottninghom, thank you very much. On a peaceful island a short boat trip from central Stockholm, not too big and with lovely grounds.

MotherofPearl · 03/05/2022 10:51

Gosh wouldn't it be great if we could have a thread meet up in one of newly acquired palaces! We would obviously also wear our tiaras.

Eaumyword · 03/05/2022 11:26

I'm more than happy to settle for Frogmore (House not Cottage...!!)😂
Cosier but still elegant!
Yes, Charles wouldn't stint on his comforts so I bet Highgrove is the best nab of the lot.

MotherofPearl · 03/05/2022 12:21

I'd arranged to meet a friend for lunch in Manchester City centre and our agreed rendezvous point was outside Central Library. Just got here to find the main entrance fenced off, lots of security and apparently Camilla is here for an event and expected any moment! Should I stake out the scene? I don't think the friend I'm meeting will be terribly sympathetic to my interest in this!

AdaColeman · 03/05/2022 12:58

Awaiting an update from MotherofPearl our Roving Royal Reporter!

gluenotsoup · 03/05/2022 13:00

Hello! Found you, at last.
@MotherofPearl - stake it out😂. I’m about 20 minutes away from you, as long as you don’t mind poorly dd tagging along. Camilla likes kids doesn’t she? 😊

RockaLock · 03/05/2022 13:05

TBH MotherOfPearl if you don't, you should probably forfeit a tiara. Or at least have it confiscated for a week.

RomainingCalm · 03/05/2022 13:48

@MotherofPearl What a question to ask. Of course you should stake it out. Could you ask C nicely whether Highgrove might be available for a tiara-wearing meet-up?

MotherofPearl · 03/05/2022 14:26

Gutted to say I missed her! We hovered around for a while but had to give up as we didn't have long for lunch. There's currently a photographic exhibition at the library about DV, so it makes sense that she was there, as that's one of her key causes. I found this image online.

Hopping aboard - can I have Windsor??

Maireas · 03/05/2022 16:21

That's very exciting, @MotherofPearl ! We need to develop a secret sign so that Camilla, Kate, Sophie et al will know who it's us and give us special access.

The worst thing about missing Cams is having missed the chance to see The Boots IRL! Looks like she's wearing them.

RockaLock · 03/05/2022 17:16

Oh, I think you're OK to hang on to your tiara, @MotherofPearl, seeing as you did try, and then found a photo for us instead Smile

RockaLock · 03/05/2022 17:17

It's a shame you couldn't ask Camilla where her boots are from, as they are are obviously very hard-wearing, yet comfortable!

Do you think she has more than one (identical) pair of boots? I've done that with really comfy shoes in the past. Such a pity you didn't get to see them...maybe next time👢

Thanks @Maireas for using my suggestion for the thread title. It is truly an honour. I just hope it lasts long enough...

MotherofPearl · 03/05/2022 22:22

I reckon so pussycat. She's had that black pair for ages and they still look in good condition, so I'm sure she must have multiple pairs.

LadyEloise10 · 04/05/2022 12:23

May I have Fort Belvedere please before William and Kate bags it, apparently they have been eyeing it up.
It already has an Irish connection as Hilary Weston who has lived there for many years is Irish, born and reared ( I think ).

Kate at the Design Museum today. I'd have left the belt off given the sleeves. She has nice earrings on. I like the fabric and colour.

GrouchyKiwi · 04/05/2022 16:42

So many dresses have those annoying arm bows these days. I keep seeing lovely things and then discovering the ties. I hates them, my precious.

Otherwise, I love that outfit. I'd keep the belt and lose the extra arm fabric.

Maireas · 04/05/2022 17:02

I really like the colour and the fabric. I don't like her hair ironed like that, though.

I wouldn't have chosen those shoes and bag.

Dark tan or 'oxblood' for me
