I find Queen Rania exceptionally beautiful 😍 And can't find anything critical to say about her clothes there either!

Serenster · 27/05/2022 09:22

Rania looks stunning!

This is cute - Carl Gustav and Silvia in London last night for the premiere of the ABBA Voyage digital concert. I’ve read that Dancing Queen was performed for the first time at their pre-wedding concert (lots of cynical music journalists are raving about the show so it must be good).

For those of you interested in historical royals Tatler has an article on Sissi, Empress Elisabeth of Austria who was kind of like the Diana of the 19th century

gluenotsoup · 27/05/2022 10:23

Rania always looks fabulous.
Bea’s been to a fashion event, love the blue shoes. She seems to be quietly making a few more appearances, maybe filling some gaps, which I like. She comes across very well I think, it would be nice to see more of her.

I agree. Perhaps they (meaning Charles mainly) are re-thinking not having Bea and Eugenie as "working royals." With Harry and Meghan out of the picture for the foreseeable, they will need more people to cover events or else cut down the number of engagements fairly drastically,, with the aging of the older working royals. They both seem to be intelligent, warm, and capable women, and I would be glad to see more of them.

RockaLock · 27/05/2022 11:06

I'm not sure that attending a dinner for the opening of a new retail store could be considered as something that a working royal would attend in the course of their duty, though!

It's hardly charitable or for a good cause. Surely that was more of an insta/celeb do that Bea was at. And she can probably only attend that sort of thing precisely because she's not a "working royal".

justasking111 · 27/05/2022 11:32

They're seriously short staffed so bea and Eugene are a good fix

SenecaFallsRedux · 27/05/2022 12:10

Bea was one of the royal "hosts" at a recent Buckingham Palace garden party. That is usually something that working royals do.

Maireas · 27/05/2022 16:18

I don't like Beatrice's suit, it doesn't seem to fit.
Go for it, Silvia! Vibrant and glossy, very ABBA in their prime!

OP posts:
Eaumyword · 27/05/2022 17:44

I like Bea's suit, but it looks too big for her. I like her blue shoes, but not with that suit!

Maireas · 27/05/2022 18:05

It's an Alice + Olivia outfit, so probably part of the promotion.

BornBlonde · 27/05/2022 19:53

Rania is beautiful, that outfit looks great on her.

I'm always in awe of people who can wear white! Within seconds I would be covered in coffee and makeup

gluenotsoup · 28/05/2022 08:28

HMQ’s Coronation dress is going on display along with with one of the Coronation maid of honour’s dresses. They look beautiful, but I thought they were a silvery colour with gold embroidery because of the colour difference on old photos, so it was odd to see the actual colours 😂

She had a tiny waist!

NiqueNique · 28/05/2022 09:04

Oh I’d love to see that exhibition. Such exquisite dresses, such skill of so many people to make such beautiful things!

I agree with you.
I don't think she can do both really.

Maireas · 28/05/2022 09:49

Those Coronation dresses are beautiful, I'd love to see that exhibition.

gluenotsoup · 28/05/2022 10:03

The dress looks to be embroidered with roses, thistle and clover amongst other things, which I hadn’t noticed before. I’m sure someone else will be along with knowledge of the dress symbolism etc soon

I was just reading this Wikipedia page, @gluenotsoup . Months of research and embroidery. The flowers of the home nation, and some from the Commonwealth. It's a work of art.

ALL HMQ's and Princess Margaret's 50s dresses have impossibly small waists. They were both petite women but I think some form of foundation garment was still required!

It must be summer - Leti's in her espadrilles! At least it gives her poor feet a break. The dress is a pink silk Hugo Boss, nice and relaxed looking. I'm not keen on tiered skirts, but it's not too fussy.

OP posts:
Eaumyword · 28/05/2022 19:00

I love that Leti look, that pink dress is fab.

SnottyLottie · 28/05/2022 20:03

Charlene and Albert at the Monaco Grand Prix.

At first I thought she was wearing a dress, then I thought she was wearing a dress over trousers but have now been reliable informed that it’s actually a long blouse.

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not a fan of the look…

Maireas · 28/05/2022 20:43

No, I'm not a fan. Her hair looks good like that though. You'd think Albert could get a jacket that fits.
I thought they were holding hands at first.

OP posts:
NiqueNique · 28/05/2022 21:23

That is Charlene’s best hairstyle by far, IMO. It’s fantastic and really suits her.
