Is this dress OTT for a friends wedding?

I'm going to a wedding in may, and I already own this dress,
I think it's probably a but much for a wedding, but it so beautiful and would love to get more wear out of it.

Honest opinions please!

That’s a beautiful dress and lovely for a May wedding! Is it ankle length or floor length on you? I would say it will look perfectly fine at the wedding but I’m from a country where people go all out for weddings, and dressing up is seeing as honouring the couple getting married, so the more dressed up, the better!

I absolutely love it! If you can't get dressed up for a wedding when can you? I say wear it, look fabulous and have an amazing time!

I think a wedding is about the only suitable place to wear such a dress.

I would say floor length, I wish it was slightly shorter as feel it seems more acceptable some how!

To me it feels a little more black tie event rather than wedding, So glad most of you though are saying go for it

It is lovely. Just make sure the bridesmaids are not going to be wearing dusky pink!

I'd get the bottom tier taken off by a seamstress and then I'd wear it to every wedding, christening, summer party, meal out for the rest of my life. Beautiful but a tad OTT at full length.

Hmm if the bridesmaids are also in pink I'd maybe see if I had something else for this one.

Very over the top for a wedding guest and very high fashion. It will date very fast.

Depends very much on what everyone else will be wearing. Will you fit in, or will you look like a wandering lampshade?
It's very subjective! Good luck with finding somewhere to wear it though, if you love it!

I'd get rid of the bottom layer totally so it's knee length.

How close of the friend? I'd send a photo of the dressr over and say this, knee length, am I going to look like I'm trying to be your bridesmaid?

If she's gone for a pastel pink, straight, long it's fine. If she's gone for that pink and ruffles, it isn't.

Is this any better? Or still too much
