Is this dress OTT for a friends wedding?

I'm going to a wedding in may, and I already own this dress,
I think it's probably a but much for a wedding, but it so beautiful and would love to get more wear out of it.

Honest opinions please!

I don't personally like either of them but there's nothing inappropriate about either of them. They look fine for a wedding and not bridesmaidy at all.

I like it but I'd need to know what the bridesmaids where wearing. I would not be shortening it.

Honestly don't think you can be overdressed at a wedding. Go full on is what I say. The only thing that's an issue is that you now know that the bridesmaids are in pink.

I have half a rail dresses I couldn't wear to a recent wedding because they were the same colour as the bridesmaids. I didn't want to look like a fake MOH.

If I had to choose one, I’d go for the second one. Sorry, but that pink dress is awful, whether it’s for a wedding, ball or whatever. You will look like a crocheted toilet roll cover.

Wow. Some harsh comments. I think it’s absolutely beautiful and if it makes you feel nice then you wear it and I hope it’s one of those dresses that when you put it on you feel 10 feet tall. If I was the bride I would love it that you’d made such an effort.

I think the floral as the bridesmaids are in pink, but if they are in satin slip dresses or something then you could wear either.

I like it, but it is bordering on wacky and I absolutely love the other two.

Of the three, I'd go for the floral due to bridesmaids being in pink and you having been told this already. Or else say feck it and wear the pink since you already have it. Someone I know deliberately matched matched bridesmaids at the wedding for some reason. The bride thought it was great and included her in the photos and everything.

The pink dress in your OP is great, you already own it, it's a May wedding, go for it.

I’d like to know what these posters who say it’s OTT would wear to a wedding? Of course it’s a gorgeous wedding guest outfit. I concur with a previous poster - if the bride/groom are close enough, text them and ask. Unless you wear white or literally buy the same dress as the bridesmaids I really don’t see the issue. Imagine going around a wedding judging people for dressing too nicely to celebrate the most special day of someone’s life 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bride described them as pale blush. Can't imagine they will look anything like that. I know she prefers more the more minimalist style.

You certainly like a ruffle don't you! Personally I think they are all awful and far too much for a wedding, but definitely don't wear pink if the bridesmaids are.

I think they’re all gorgeous op. Wear the one you already have. With flat sandals and your hair down to keep it from being ott.
