Is this dress OTT for a friends wedding?

I'm going to a wedding in may, and I already own this dress,
I think it's probably a but much for a wedding, but it so beautiful and would love to get more wear out of it.

Honest opinions please!

God, the Needle and Thread wedding guest section is dreadful. Everyone looks like a giant blancmange in their dresses.

It's perfect for a wedding. It is a dress designed for wedding guests!

I really don't like either, but I'm not a fan of ruffly dresses/tops. Definitely wouldn't do pink if that's what the bridesmaids would be in... I turned up in red to a wedding and all the bridesmaids had the exact same shade of red, I didn't like it I felt weird
