Has anyone started a sandals thread yet?

I can't see one, so apologies if they have.

A few years ago I had a lovely pair of Steve Madden sandals. The straps were elasticated and never rubbed. The soles were comfy and I could walk for miles in them too. Alas the nude colour has now seen better days.

Has anyone seen anything similar? Or are there equally comfy and stylish sandals out there?

Birkenstock.

Goldengoosey · 12/04/2022 09:09

I’m lusting after these but they are v spendy and I’m worried if I splashed out I actually wouldn’t wear them much because of the studs. Plus when I looked at them a couple of weeks ago they were £225 and now £245! I really like Flatform sandals but I need comfort and have never had R&B before so no idea if these would be remotely comfortable x

I really wanted these from Hush. Finally bought them and I can't walk in them at all, they just fall off my feet - and my feet are not narrow. I'm so annoyed as I really like them.

I love these Doc Marten ones but haven't bought them as I don't suit ankle straps at all, having massive calves.

Goldengoosey · 12/04/2022 09:29

I like both of those @evilharpy but the ankle strap on the DMs is too high for my fat legs Grin

evilharpy · 12/04/2022 09:31

@Goldengoosey the struggle is real Grin

mumsn3tt3r · 12/04/2022 09:42

I bought these by accident and actually really like them on, so now I'm looking for a similar style in tan, if anyone can help!

I might have to buy my ones “by accident” Grin

WaveParticleDuality · 12/04/2022 09:58

I've got loads of R&B shoes @Goldengoosey, all extremely comfortable. You sound probably 'accidentally' buy them.

mumsn3tt3r · 12/04/2022 10:01

@Goldengoosey Grin

I meant I had two pairs saved in my ASOS favourites and I meant to buy the others. Really liked these when I tried them on though. Not as loose as they look.

ArtVandalay · 12/04/2022 10:24

Oh I love those Russell and Bromley sandals.

titsintiers · 12/04/2022 11:55

Some nice options here.

I hate it when I accidentally buy something new and shiny and lovely........

I bought these and they are really comfortable and have the Pearl detail that I wanted.

It was hard to choose between the blush or black, I don't actually buy many black shoes but I thought the pearl detail would show really well.

I like these slides but need to find a dupe as I cannot spend £333 on a pair of summer shoes!

I've just bought some vegan Sketchers Reggae Slims ( I know , utter style guru me ) I'm wearing them round the house (with socks for shame Blush ) to get the feel of them.

ArtVandalay · 12/04/2022 20:55

I love the Doc Marten ones upthread as well as the R&B ones. That link has them only in massive sizes.

CircesLion · 12/04/2022 21:02

FFS I’ve not even got round to the annual Footner yet, let alone considered which sandals to buy! 😂

Dairymilk50 · 12/04/2022 21:07

I tried a few pairs of Blowfish sandals on and they felt like heaven from Office.

Dairymilk50 · 12/04/2022 21:08

Do you plan to wear these every day?

Ifeellikedancing · 12/04/2022 21:36

I bought these in black and tan in last years sale. So comfy.

I have about 10 pairs of sandals from R and B. Some are years old and they are used extensively over the summer and I often get people asking where I brought the . I have good feet with proper gel nails so they look ok.

Having said that for extensive walking I cannot beat Hotter but avoid the granny styles!

So many lovely sandals on this thread. I like them all but need to be careful how high the ankle strap are as my fat legs no likey Grin

@titsintiers do you see any you fancy? For comfort I usually stick to Fitflop sandals or Birkenstocks, Clarks at a push. I find the ones with ankle straps best for walking any distance.

@evilharpy are the DMs heavy? I’m now not liking heavy shoes.

@Lovinglife45 I know. Same! I stumbled over these in my defence I didn’t go looking for sandals at this price but now I’ve seen them I want them Grin and I’m now thinking instead of buying multiple sandals like I usually do every summer at £60-80 a pop I should get ones that I really love Smile

Organictangerine · 12/04/2022 22:33

Love those @Dairymilk50

I also have my eye on these
