When was the last time you felt this, what for?
I can't help but feel like fashion was better 5-10 years ago. I cant remember the last time I felt strongly about purchasing something.
(I'm talking going out tops/bags/shoes/ jeans/ dresses... everything basically). I don't even know which shops to shop in now.. help a girl out?

@TokenGinger the leopard one of more of a sweatshirt so not for summer.

The plain top is more of a thick t-shirt material.

I love this feeling because it’s so hard for me to find things that are really “me” and that fit, as I’m tall and long-waisted. My most recent was this m&s top - I love really narrow stripes and they’re quite hard to find, plus it’s longline, plus soft, stubby cotton, perfect not-too-high neckline, and cheap! Bought both colours and they’re both great and look like something from Isabel Marant. Total result.

But if we’re talking arizonas, I was looking for some red ones and saw these and had the OMG moment - but they are £200! (and sold out!) Bollocks.

I have ordered a Dress from monsoon in their sale after a thread on here about wedding dresses. Love monsoon but can only afford sale prices. I don't really wear dresses but it's so pretty I had to have it.

I am always disappointed with how I look in things. In my head I still have the size 12 figure I had 30 years ago. The reality is size 20, breasts different sizes because of cancer, white hair, specs, hearing aid and an interesting selection of false teeth! It’s all elasticated wrists and jersey tops these days.

Clicked on this thread in the hope of having my dormant love of shopping revived. It seems to be another victim of the pandemic - don't know whether it's because I'm not going out as much as I used to yet so don't need stuff, or because I've got out of the habit of browsing real shops. It's been a long time since I've fallen in love with anything and felt that endorphin rush of carrying it to the till.

dontgobaconmyheart your post sums up how I feel. I don't know whether to be glad that I'm not yearning to spend money on lovely stuff now that just keeping the house warm is a luxury, or sad for another avenue of pleasure closed off since covid. Nice to see everyone else's joyful purchases though!

I shouldn't read things when sleepy but I read about @PoshPyjamas dungarees and had a Google but googled hush instead of toast as I wasn't paying attention. I now have a lovely pair of Hush dungarees on their way to me for a far more reasonable price than the Toast ones. And the aforementioned Vans. No more buying now. Terrible thread. Thank god for PayPal pay in 3 and Klarna otherwise I'd never have new clothes.
