There may be no such word.
You get the gist Smile

That's all the fault of whoever called for a 'sparkly belt' Grin

Gooseysgirl · 27/03/2022 12:20

Here it is in navy with polka dots... still not great but about a million times better than the yellow frock horror

It does look much better in navy! Although Pretty Woman springs to mind WinkGrin.
Fluffymule · 27/03/2022 12:57

It reminded me of a Sarah Ferguson classic 80's look.

I think she saw the thread was coming to a close and decided to let out end with a bang! What other possible reason drugs could there be for anyone to wear that???? It's like someone threw up in the Laura Ashley reject factory. I don't like it, just to be clear Grin

Northernlurker · 27/03/2022 13:01

That's probably what inspired it! Awkward! Anyway they're on their way home now. What do we think - school run tomorrow then doze till the afternoon Grin
Then Kate will be sending a shed load of clothes to the dry cleaner whilst Wills runs a couple of his jackets through the washer and then returns the loaned Jewellery to his gran?

Northernlurker · 27/03/2022 13:02

I think Max might like that outfit.....but a bit more bling needed.

Maireas · 27/03/2022 13:04

Unless mescaline has found it's way into someone's organic almond milk, there is no explanation. Upside, at least it's silk, not polyester.
Fergie. Oh dear me.

@Gooseysgirl

God yes!!! I could totally imagine Sue-Ellen Ewing in that frock 😆
I couldn't decide who it reminded me of ... yes sue-Ellen.
MotherofPearl · 27/03/2022 13:30

To properly end the thread on a bang, allow me to treat you to these photos of a royal Liechtenstein/Luxembourg wedding yesterday. The bride's dress rivals Kate's yellow horror for Worst Dress Ever. Shock

That yellow dress. That wedding dress. What a shock.

I think I may have mentioned before that I got married in the 1980s. Wedding dress shopping was, to put it mildly, challenging. Choosing bridesmaid dresses even more so. I definitely won't be partaking in this 80s redux, especially at my age.

That dress in navy almost has a 1930s vibe, so not so bad. The frills and furbelows are not so prominent in a dark color.

MotherofPearl · 27/03/2022 13:57

I too am a survivor of the 80s and will absolutely not be taking part in the revival either!

DisforDarkChocolate · 27/03/2022 13:58

Oh that yellow dress looks like she's raided Princess Margaret's old holiday wardrobe!

LadyEloise1 · 27/03/2022 14:00

I'll b flamed but I actually think that yellow dress is better than the ghastly flowery curtain material Erdem dress she wore to a dinner in Sweden in 2018.

paradyning · 27/03/2022 14:03

It definitely is better than that monstrosity. But still terrible!

MotherofPearl · 27/03/2022 14:03

@LadyEloise1 it's a close run thing between the yellow horror frock and the diabolical mustard floral Erdem number.

KillingMeDeftly · 27/03/2022 14:32

That wedding dress looks like the bride couldn't decide between two styles so she plumped for both!

Maireas · 27/03/2022 15:18

That was another level of ghastly. Truthfully, one of the worst dresses ever.

Thing is, Max could actually carry it off! She'd just style it out with plenty of bling and a mad Pringle hat.

That plane dress is an absolute monstrosity. I would go as far as to say that hands down it is the most ghastly dress ever worn by anyone. Ever.

SeaRabbit · 27/03/2022 15:58

I don't think so; not when there's the evidence of the Duchess of York's turquoise milkmaid outfit:

KillingMeDeftly · 27/03/2022 15:59

It's marginally better in the navy but still v 80s and I would not be paying £1200 for it.
