You see, I welcome the horror show!

I love Kate. I like her fussy outfits, her unfussy ones, her classic ones and her experimental ones. I just really would rather she stayed away from the endless, endless (very nice, very smart, very immaculate - not necessarily dissing the individual pieces!) coat dress/hat/shoes/earrings/tights/gloves/handbag all-matching ensembles. I’m a very classic dresser myself, so I’ve no beef at all with the fact that she likes to keep it classic.

I want interesting. But perhaps I’m being unfair to her in expecting this. She’s obviously allowed to dress in the way that she prefers and however makes her feel most confident and at ease.

I did love the tweed Erdem and the colours on the red and blue gown were great, there was just one ruffle too many!

I'm with Motherofpearl on this! I love those classic styles on Kate. Having said that, I love the middle one of those "foreign tour looks" posted by Serenster too!

Tbh, I think the print on those floral Erdem numbers overpower the wearer, rather than flatter, whoever is wearing them, and the ruffles are hideous!

I don’t she’s got boring, just too many things that are very similar. They’re also elegant and appropriate without fail, and she’s 40. It’s not old by any stretch, but I remember when I turned 40, now 46 with 3 children, I was aware of wanting to be elegant and stylish and sort looking like the polished, in control grown up I should look like, rather than the tired, frazzled over-grown teenager that I felt, and still do! So, I suppose what I’m twittering about is that different stages of life influence your personal style, or what you think it should be.
Right now, my personal style is comfies on, Friday glass of wine, homemade pasta, Emmerdale and an early start tomorrow.
