This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

I would love to wear contacts but can’t because I have a connective tissue disorder and Sjogren’s. My eyeballs are too dry and likely to scar.

Some Empties
Vaseline Fresh Glow Body Lotion (citrus scented)... Was okay. I've had better/worse. The scent wasn't that great. Smelled a bit curdly, tbh. (There is a cranberry one in the same line that is much nicer.)
Toni & Guy Purple Shampoo. It's on rotation. This was a small bottle. I have a big bottle (750ml) in my shower already and a backup in a small bottle, just in case I get to travel ever again.
Strivectin Retinol Eye Serum (sample tube)... Lasted ages. Not sure I'd use it every day, as it made my under-eyes dehydrated.
Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum. It didn't perform miracles. Interesting that the sample was free and was 5ml. The bottle is super-expensive and it's only 15ml. I couldn't justify that.
Petitfee Seabuckthorn Oil Lip Mask. It smelled nice and was fine in the daytime. I kept it in my car. Just didn't cut the mustard compared to Laneige.

Byredo Gypsy Water hand cream. Delicious. I'm so sad it's gone. I put it on my elbow, knees and heels. Yum.
A 15ml travel atomiser of Narciso for her (original one). It came in a set of three. I have two more, but they're getting on. I love this in winter - problem is, we don't really have Winter here.

Thanks @wonderspread, and thank you @Fraaahnces . Those tips and suggestions led me to the fountain of all modern hands-on knowledge: You Tube. Now I have reels and reels of evening viewing while DH watches Formula 1 on Netflix

Fraaahnces · 11/05/2022 11:24

YouTube can be an expensive habit though, and few facts are checked… be careful!

PomRuns · 11/05/2022 12:26

I have slipped up a lot, ordered 2x beauty kits plus other things from Liberty to get the GWP.

But have just slathered on a face mask and will be feverishly using things up now (even more so !).

Clarins Hand and Nail treatment cream. This used to be a staple for me but I think I now prefer L'occictane or Aesop hand creams so won't repurchase.

Noble Isle summer rising body lotion - was fine, not wowed.

Sisley Velvet sleeping mask (10ml - 3 uses). Liked it but think too pricey.

Also used a Neals yard sample - wild rose beauty balm - liked and would repurchase to see how compares to Elemis,

64/100
Samples 10

Incoming about 20 ish !

Fraaahnces · 12/05/2022 06:22

@PomRuns - you’re only human… 😆 Sounds lush!

Experiment627 · 13/05/2022 13:17

Fell off the thread again 🙈🙈🙈

@PomRuns @Fraaahnces not sure if I thanked you for travel advice. I am feeling better prepared now - although still need to wrap up the toys I have bought, pull together some activities and sort YT Premium. I have headphones, I have meds, need to get snacks sorted but still have a few days.

@Oceanus thanks for the tech support

I have moved off The Ordinary shampoo and conditioner so I can take on my trip & hopefully finish there and leave the bottles there. REALLY love this duo... that said have started using the Boots Ingredients shampoo & conditioner and they are both amazeballs too!!! Have struggled to find shampoo and conditioner I like for years and now I have quite a few to choose from.

@LivingDeadGirlUK I have so many faves from Superdrug!!! Sorry if I am coming too late in with my POV! Love the Superdrug B glycolic mask thing (which only goes on for a couple of minutes), I love the Vitamin C jam mask (not sure if still available), really like the B. cleansing balm, also the Natrually Radiant hot cloth cleanser, oh and how could I forget the Superdrug B. Glow soothing cream - it is so good! I have a whole series on Superdrug on my YT channel as I love their stuff so much!

@Fraaahnces I am much more causal about expiry dates with make-up than I am with skincare. Except for mascara. But unless it smells funny or makes me breakout I carry on using & I have some stuff dating back to the nineties 😵‍💫

I have one empty:

  • La Roche Posay micellar water ultra: really good micellar water and smells lovely!!! I got a small bottle... not sure how much full-size will be but will definitely come back to this in the future. On a par, or maybe even better than Bioderma.

declutteringmymind · 13/05/2022 20:59

Hi all fell off the thread as well.

I was doing well until I ran out of serum and repurchased exactly when the Liberty GWP landed!

Anyhow here are some (not all I can remember) empties:

Venn age reversing serum 50ml. An expensive habit. RP'd

Bleach London reincarnation hair mask 200ml. Rp'd. Leaves hair swishy.

Olaplex 4P shampoo. Really good at removing yellow but stains fingers. Have bought Joico purple shampoo to try that.

Skin and me tube

Kiel's spf 50? sample - it was ok.

Barbara sturm body lotion - LOVED this. I have come to the conclusion that I have expensive taste.

Bamford shower gel sample. Nothing special.

Lancôme bi facil sample. Looking for a cheaper alternative. Down to my last sample bottle in stash.

Kiehls face wash. Effective but boring

Living proof hair mask - again, nothing special

Aveda shampure sample. Left my hair knotty

Plodding on!

Well done everyone.

Joinedforthis2021 · 14/05/2022 00:16

May I join?

My empties are:
Maybelline Sky High Mascara
Revolution plex shampoo and conditioner
Blue Nivea tub
Barry M that's swell lip plumper

Fraaahnces · 14/05/2022 00:31

@Experiment627 - when do you leave? You must be excited!

Caggie09 · 15/05/2022 11:36

Fell off thread! Currently in France, so picked up a few bits. Also have a few empties, but will report tomorrow! If anyone has any knows anything i can buy from a French Pharmacy, ideas welcome!! Ive already topped up my facial mist and La Petit shower gels!!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 15/05/2022 11:42

Finished a Pure night time face oil, first face oil i tried and did have reservations but its been lovely.

Loads of night products in my stash as not great at doing my evening skincare.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 15/05/2022 11:44

Not too late @Experiment627 ! thanks very much :)

Fraaahnces · 15/05/2022 18:10

@Caggie09 - the giant-sized bottles of Embryolisse. Great for the body and smells divine.
Also useful is Biafine Ointment (burns, bites, reactions)
A313 pommade- vitamin A for rashes/reactions/anti-aging. (This would be great for you!!!)
Homeoplasmine- ointment for raw tips of noses, cuticles, lips
Nuxe lip balm
Vichy Mineral 89 Booster (fab serum)
Petit Marsellailles body wash & lotions (supermarket)
any Eau de Toilettes (supermarket) - so refreshing
Monoi de Tahiti oil/body lotion/whatever… Smells delicious - like Frangipani & Gardenias

Fraaahnces · 15/05/2022 18:20

@Caggie09
Also Roger Gallet fragrances and body lotions.
Klorane dry shampoo (oat)
Oat milk shampoo.

MidnightMeltdown · 15/05/2022 18:36

I too have sinned and got the Liberty GWP. I bought hair products to get it though, which I needed (sort of).

Also have a few empties:

49) ilapothecary body lotion - I really hated the smell of this. Used it up on my feet.

50) Fresh soy face cleanser - I seem to get a lot of these in various beauty boxes and GWPs. It's fine, nice mild cleanser. I probably wouldn't bother to buy it though

51) Malin and Goetz deodorant - I like the idea of natural deodorant, but I find that this just isn't as effective as normal deodorant, and it's lot more expensive. Maybe ok in winter, but not for summer. Too expensive to rp.

52) Garnier makeup remover - not bad, but think I prefer Niva double effect.

Stand out from these for me are.

Vichy89- @Fraaahnces which you mentioned and i will be picking up tomorrow!

Sisley eye cream. Lovely thick eye cream.

Algenist sleeping collagen.

Diptyque body oil.

My haul so far too!! @Fraaahnces I looked at the Biafine yesterday, but going to have one more look about tomorrow to get some of the Vichy and the Homeoplasmine ointment. Its quite hard not going crazy over here, id spend a fortune!

At least you live close enough to pop on over @Caggie09 … I really do miss living in Europe and being able to drive to other countries. Living on a giant, bloody island where you can drive and drive for days and still be in the same state is weird after that!

Fraaahnces · 16/05/2022 11:38

Sorry I posted too soon. My giant twit of a dog jumped on my bed and gave me a heart attack. (She’s only a couple of kilos lighter than me, so stealth doggonis a testament to my focus on your haul…) YOUR HAUL LOOKS FABULOUS! (So jealous, but so happy for you!!!) Don’t underestimate the A313 for your skin too. It encourages healing too. You’ve had a rough trot this year with your poor skin. You deserve to spoil yourself!

supadupapupascupa · 17/05/2022 08:27

Shiiiiiiiiit! I just succumbed to the Estée Lauder offer of buy one ANR serum and get one free. I've already got loads of little ones in my stash and a full bottle. Added the uv gel to the order because it's been out of stock forever and I'm itching to try it. Add in the free mascara due to my loyalty level and three samples and I've successfully added to my hoard. Two free deluxe samples didn't work. Probably a blessing

Fraaahnces · 17/05/2022 09:09

Do you use the ANR every day? (Right down your neck and décolleté?) Sounds like that’s a fave item and a pretty good deal. I think if you are going to get through it (eventually) then it’s not bad. I haven’t used it in years, but I remember getting through it pretty fast.

Caggie09 · 17/05/2022 14:08

@Fraaahnces I think next time im back there, ill try the A313, sounds amazing!

My last of my buys, so a no buy more me for a while!

supadupapupascupa · 17/05/2022 17:25

@Fraaahnces well I don't remember to do a routine every night, but when I do I use ANR. I've tried, and am in the process of trying other brands but non has impressed me as much so far....

Fraaahnces · 18/05/2022 05:47

@supadupapupascupa I think if you know you love it and that you will use it, it’s still a good deal. I doubt that it expires quickly.

PomRuns · 19/05/2022 12:01

Looks like a few of us succumbed to Liberty !

Nivea night cream - I just use a Nivea cream to hydrate before going for a run, but tbh so are so hydrating. I do wonder if much difference with the expensive creams ( am sure there is load of research I could read re this if I had the time).

Davines Hair butter - liked, was rich and smelt lovely.

Cerave hydrating facial cleanser - was fine, didn't think removed every scrap of make up.

Molton Brown Flora Lumina shower gel 100mls - really liked the fragrance, summery and light.

Molton Brown pink pepper hand wash - a favourite fragrance.

Dermaologica pre cleanse - I liked, trying a Clarins at the mo so will compare the two.

70/100
10 sachets.
