I’ve found the most remarkable hair mask!

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 07:47

My search for good hair products has been literally lifelong. I’ve only ever found a small handful of products that seem to make a notable difference to my hair, and the one that blew my mind was promptly discontinued 😩

Anyway, all that preamble is just to demonstrate that when I say remarkable, I mean it. The mask is the Bleach reincarnation mask; I saw it recommended on Reddit and since it’s sold in Boots and not expensive I took a punt. It’s AMAZING. It made my hair insanely soft and shiny, but the main reason I love it is because it added weight to my hair. I’ve got a lot of hair, but it’s quite fine, so it’s always been a bit floaty. This mask has given it real weight and bounce- it felt like I’d had a fresh haircut and I couldn’t stop swishing it.

I did sit with it in my hair for over an hour (I’d intended just using for ten mins or so but my husband joined me in the bath so we ended up sitting chatting for ages) which may have been why the results were so good; I’ll try it for less time next time and see if it’s as effective.

I just wanted to share as a good conditioner has eluded me for so long. They sell huge jars on the website for £15 (I’ve just ordered 2) but the tube is only £7 in boots so might be worth a punt!

Also, if anyone can suggest a shampoo I’d be grateful! Since I’m getting all my results from the mask I’m really looking for a treatment shampoo for growth etc. but would love recommendations.

Ooh, your hair sounds like mine - will try this!

MargotEmin · 27/01/2022 07:50

Ooh I was looking at this just the other day

pastypirate · 27/01/2022 07:51

Have you got a link please?

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 07:52

I read about it a while back but only just bought it- I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner! My previous mask was like £50 and did literally nothing. Can’t get over how good this one is!

Here it is on Boots;

And here’s the actual product website where I just got the huge jars;

I used a sample of this the other day. it was only on for 5 minutes in the shower admittedly but it wasn't anything special. I know it gets excellent reviews but most conditioners left on for a hour will make your hair feel good.

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 08:16

Interesting, maybe it just works better on my hair type! I have red hair that’s quite porous so that could be why.

I would agree on that point except that I’ve left hair masks on for that long, and even longer, before. I’ve even left them on overnight and used a heat cap and not had anywhere near these results.

Have you ever tried Philip Kingsley elasticiser

Game changer!!!

I wasn’t impressed at all with reincarnation

Toanewstart22 · 27/01/2022 08:22

Apparently they’ve paid mega bucks for a social media “sweep”

Beautiful3 · 27/01/2022 08:42

Brilliant, thanks op. I have very dry and fine hair, and never had a great conditioner. Will order some today.

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 08:42

Yes, bought a big tub of the Philip Kingsley and didn’t get a thing out of it. Same with olaplex. Different things for different hair I guess.

OP posts:
Ginevere · 27/01/2022 08:43

Let me know how you get on with it @Beautiful3! I’m obsessed!

TiredMummyZZZ · 27/01/2022 09:41

I’ve used this mask for a while and I absolutely love it. Nothing else works on my hair as well, I’ve spent a fortune on really expensive hair masks before but this beats them all.

ClariceQuiff · 27/01/2022 12:20

Elasticizer did nothing for my hair.

Imabouttoexplode · 27/01/2022 13:31

Olaplex doesn't make your hair feel silky like conditioners. That's not what it's for. It's to build the integrity of your hair. Well, numbers 0 and 3 are anyway.
Ginevere · 27/01/2022 13:39

@Imabouttoexplode yep I know, used both 3 and the conditioner. Didn’t see much change to the structure of my hair from 3 (I’m not a pro though tbf! Just didn’t feel stronger or anything) and the conditioner didn’t do much at all. I was surprised as my hair is very porous so I was told I’d be the perfect candidate. Same with the elastisicer. I was starting to think my hair might just not be changeable, hence my delight with this mask and wanting to share it! I’m on day three post wash now and my hair still feels amazing, utterly unheard of.

ENoeuf · 27/01/2022 13:42

Ooooh I wondered if you were going to say it was this! I love it - elastcizer did nothing, olaplex was meh - this is amazing (dry curly naturally grey hair)

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 13:46

@TiredMummyZZZ isn’t it amazing!! I’ve tried so many, in the last year alone I tried kerastase, coco & eve, Forest essentials, redken, champo and nature lab, and they all had zero effect. I had mild hope for this one but no expectations. I could tell before I’d even dried my hair that it had made a difference.

Do you get what I mean by the ‘haircut’ effect? My ends are so weighted and healthy, I can’t believe a product can actually do that. I keep swishing 😂

OP posts:
Ginevere · 27/01/2022 13:48

@ENoeuf so good right! I’m going to get my mum to try it and see if it works on fine, sparse hair as well. I’ve just looked on the website and they do a subscription service too, doesn’t look like they do it for just the mask which is annoying, only in bundles which is weird as I don’t want it bundled with a random serum.

I’m literally over the moon, I’ve had salon perfect hair for three days now!

Phantom1 · 27/01/2022 13:57

This thread is like a promo for the product!

DukeofEarlGrey · 27/01/2022 14:13

Is your hair coloured OP? I tried Olaplex and it did nothing for my hair because I never dye it. Bleach sounds like it is also for, well... bleached hair?

If not I’m a sucker for a hair mask and may well throw £7 at this one.

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 14:22

@DukeofEarlGrey my hair isn’t coloured no, natural red. Is olaplex meant for dyed hair then? That’s worth knowing; might be why I got nothing out of it! And yes, bleach does sound like it’s for bleached hair, I avoided it for a while for the same reason. The whole website is products for coloured hair too, there’s no shampoos to match this or anything. As far as I can tell it’s just a really strong conditioner meant for people who’ve fried their hair with bleach. Honestly try it, if your hair is anything like mine its a game changer.

@Phantom1 not an ad I swear 😂 I used to have a beauty blog so I tend to wax a bit lyrical on the subject of beauty products, and in this case I am so blown away by it that I had to tell people.

OP posts:
DukeofEarlGrey · 27/01/2022 14:25

Yep, Olaplex is for bleached hair. My sister bought me some as a gift because she loved it on her over-processed hair and I have it back to her after one go! I have natural red hair too.

Ginevere · 27/01/2022 14:39

I might give it to my mum in that case, she has very processed hair. I have the olaplex spray too (0?) and both do nothing.

My hair is medium gingery red, lots of it but very fine and porous- at least I thought it was but the ‘float hair on water’ test said otherwise so who knows! have had decent success in the past with coconut and henna based conditioners so if that’s anything similar to you then the bleach one should work amazingly.

TeamSpike · 27/01/2022 17:04

Right OP I've just been and bought some based on your experience! I have bleached hair and will be doing my roots with bleach tonight. My ends are very dry so I'm hoping this mask works some magic. I've never used a mask before either so all new for me! Will report results later Smile
