I’ve found the most remarkable hair mask!

My search for good hair products has been literally lifelong. I’ve only ever found a small handful of products that seem to make a notable difference to my hair, and the one that blew my mind was promptly discontinued 😩

Anyway, all that preamble is just to demonstrate that when I say remarkable, I mean it. The mask is the Bleach reincarnation mask; I saw it recommended on Reddit and since it’s sold in Boots and not expensive I took a punt. It’s AMAZING. It made my hair insanely soft and shiny, but the main reason I love it is because it added weight to my hair. I’ve got a lot of hair, but it’s quite fine, so it’s always been a bit floaty. This mask has given it real weight and bounce- it felt like I’d had a fresh haircut and I couldn’t stop swishing it.

I did sit with it in my hair for over an hour (I’d intended just using for ten mins or so but my husband joined me in the bath so we ended up sitting chatting for ages) which may have been why the results were so good; I’ll try it for less time next time and see if it’s as effective.

I just wanted to share as a good conditioner has eluded me for so long. They sell huge jars on the website for £15 (I’ve just ordered 2) but the tube is only £7 in boots so might be worth a punt!

Also, if anyone can suggest a shampoo I’d be grateful! Since I’m getting all my results from the mask I’m really looking for a treatment shampoo for growth etc. but would love recommendations.

Ultimately it's a protein mask, so will improve the feel and strength of hair for those who's hair needs protein rather than moisture, and won't for those who don't. I don't think that makes it very good or very bad, just useful for some not others depending on their hair issue.

I'd not overuse it, or use it frequently. Too much protein in the hair will likely make it feel dry, cause split ends or breakage and give it a slightly claggy heavy feel. It can take a while to fix if you overload the hair with protein.

If you're unsure if your hair needs protein or moisture, Google a protein strand test as a guide.

@Ginevere thank you so much! My hair has never felt so good! I also treated myself to some fanola no yellow shampoo so every day is like a new hair day now!

I prefer the before picture.
ive no idea why flat, lifeless hair is considered superior.
the before photo is bouncy, healthy and perfect!

Sorry didn’t realise people had been back!

@Beautiful3 glad you got on with it! Defo try it for longer, I’ve had amazing results from 40 mins onwards.

@Imabouttoexplode I’ll try it, thanks! I think I gave it a go back in the day but I’ve not persisted with it.

@Knittingnanny2 I just used enough to cover my hair like a normal conditioner, maybe 2 walnuts? How long did you leave it? I’ve defo had best results with the long sessions.

@BaconAndAvocado I literally just put it on wet hair like a normal conditioner! Not tried it on dry but I get the impression it wouldn’t have absorbed as well.

@RestingMurderousFace noted, thank you!!

@scandikate I was the same, wouldn’t stop touching my hair. It’s never been so smooth!

@dontgobaconmyheart super interesting, thanks! I did the test and it looks like my hair reeeeally needs protein which explains the good results!

@furmumma welcome! Glad you got on with it! It’s been such a game changer for me- I’ve bought the big jars from their website and also the little 50ml tubes to take on hols!

@ConfusedParticle well thank you! I definitely would prefer to properly style my hair and blow it out with a big roller etc but this picture was just after blasting it dry in five minutes with no attempt at style. What I like about it is the weight it gives my hair as it’s very flyaway usually, just made it feel a lot heavier and healthier.

I tried using it overnight the other day and it didn’t make any difference, so don’t bother doing that for anyone whose interested! Just putting it on in the bath before a good soak has been the best results for me so far.
