Checking in! Off to open this morning’s…

NumaNumaYay · 22/12/2021 09:27

Today's is quite nice, although I already have countless lavender oil products - from my lovely MIL over the years who obviously thinks I need to relax more and stop stressing! Grin

Forgot to say that if you enjoy this calendar, a couple of years ago DH got me a BirchBox subscription which was pretty good. Mix of good and a few dud products but the good ones were worth knowing about. I also had Glossybox which was good. I probably kept each subscription for about 6 months before I felt I was accumulating too many things and I should probably save the money instead....

I guess today's is nice but I never know what to do with products like this. I don't think I would ever reach for a roll on moisturising oil if I was stressed. I prefer products with a clear job like sun cream or lipstick.

EachandEveryone · 22/12/2021 09:49

I’m just been selfish but I open this at 6am before I jump in the shower and I would’ve loved some products to really get me going on a morning. Things I could actually use like a decent size shower gel and body lotion and a brighter lipstick. Although the full size cleanser and moisturiser have been brilliant so I shouldn’t moan.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 22/12/2021 09:59

May be a silly question but where do you roll it? I'm V stressed at the moment lol

Pulse points on wrist and behind the ear - same as for perfume.
AmethystMoonShine · 22/12/2021 10:08

I put it on my wrists and sniff! I’m keeping mine on my desk where most stress happens Xmas Hmm

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/12/2021 10:09

It’s a very relaxing oil. I love the sleep spray from this works.

I think this will be great at night.

latedecember1963 · 22/12/2021 10:18

Sorry to have been AWOL but had a ciuple of hectic days.
I like the Eyeko liner having never used a liquid liner before. Will be a repurchase fir me. Value £16.00.
The Ren daycream has been added to my caravan stash. Value £11.40.
Today's pulse point oil smells lovely. Value £22.50, bringing our total to £234.08 so far.

Hope your DD has some good news soon, H1Drangea. DS2 is in the same boat having graduated this summer. Some jobs seem to require 3 or 4 sets of assessments before he gets told he can actually apply for the job/grad scheme.

Also meant to say thank you for the new thread NumaNumaYay.

TokyoSushi · 22/12/2021 10:21

Keeping this one on my desk too!

Helpstopthepain · 22/12/2021 10:44

I love thisworks! I already have this and love it so it will definitely be used and repurchased.

Helpstopthepain · 22/12/2021 10:44

Thanks for the new thread @NumaNumaYay

Countmeout · 22/12/2021 10:53

Thanks @NumaNumaYay . Not many days to go now

friedeggandsauce · 22/12/2021 11:06

I initially read it as stress cheek roll on! Thought that was a bit odd!

petitebleu · 22/12/2021 11:19

Thanks for the new thread.

NumaNumaYay · 22/12/2021 11:35

Me too @friedeggandsauce ! I still have a "Balance Me" roll-on which is a facial oil, so didn't seem too weird!

My Stress Check will be going directly to my DIL whose 8 year old has just tested positive for covid. Both daughters were due to go to their father's tomorrow, for a week, and DIL and my son were coming to us for Christmas Day.

She is very upset that all plans have gone to pot.

AnnieSnap · 22/12/2021 11:57

As I said at the end of the previous thread, today’s offering isn’t my thing. I have tried a few ‘relaxing roll on’s’ over the years and they have done nothing for me. Meditation is effective for stress and is one of my go too’s. You only need 10 minutes a day, so doable, even in a busy life.

FreshFaceTime · 22/12/2021 12:07

@NumaNumaYay thank you for the new thread. Haven't got round to opening today's box but looking forward to a good sniff when I do!

Anjelika · 22/12/2021 12:08

Can't see myself using today's but the comments have reminded me I have the This Works sleep spray somewhere in my bedroom. Oddly, even though I am a poor sleeper, I have never used it!

PantsandBoots · 22/12/2021 12:11

Fingers crossed for some eye cream, body lotion or mini perfume in the last few boxes!

Cocopogo · 22/12/2021 13:02

I really like todays as I’ve never used used it before so it’s something different for me

StiffyByng · 22/12/2021 13:25

Good stocking gift for DD who is doing Wellbeing stuff at school and needs ways to calm herself.

Jammallama · 22/12/2021 17:26

I'm also checking in - I liked the idea of it but I have no sense of smell so didn't think it would be any good. However I applied some and had a sniff (nothing) but I did feel a bit brighter! I'll dab on and pretend I like the smell!!!
