Shit. Do I look "Witchy"?

Saw an ex-colleague in town today. Not seen her for c7/8 years. Bit of chit chat, small talk. And then "So you have embraced the grey. I thought of doing it in lockdown but was scared of having that witchy vibe... You're kind of rocking it though...." A bit of a pause, a change of subject and soon after we went our separate ways.
DIdn't think much of it then. But now it is digging at me. Do I look witchy? Midlength grey curls. A bit of frizz - then my curls nearly always have a bit of frizz.
Photos attached. Would normally be wash- day today - but playing sport tomorrow morning so eeking it out an extra day - so not an "insta-best-photo-possible.
Should I listen to the "Witchy" or the "Rocking it"? I know I look my age and don't really care. But I am just wondering if I need to rethink the length/style? I am nearly 50 (like days from being 50) so wondering if am over-thinking it cos of that...just having a bit of a crisis.
Honest opinions please?

This is my issue with the curls. Unlike my 20s and 30s (hair was dark brown back then) the curls don't shine the same way.
Late 30s and early 40s I was dying it...which fucked the curls completely.
It is very salt and pepper. The colour left is sooo many shades lighter than the hair of my youth...and just mixed in with white and grey.. I look much "greyer" or even white in sunlight. Which can be a bit of a shock on the holiday photos.

I think you look fab and that hair colouring is so in atm. People pay a lot to have that colour. Definitely rock it!

Unless your colleague is normally rude I wouldnt take the comment as being rude. I’d have thought it a normal jokey comment about grey hair. I don’t colour my hair as I prefer a bit of grey.

Horrible person. I never comment on other people's hair unless it's something nice to say.
The whole "embrace the grey" is so offensive. Like grey is something bad. It's natural for fucks sake. Why are people so scared of getting old... What business is it of hers what colour your hair is???
She could have said "wow, your hair looks lovely, I'm loving the natural greys coming through and you have beautiful curls," or something like that.
"Witchy" - that's just mean.
