Shit. Do I look "Witchy"?

Saw an ex-colleague in town today. Not seen her for c7/8 years. Bit of chit chat, small talk. And then "So you have embraced the grey. I thought of doing it in lockdown but was scared of having that witchy vibe... You're kind of rocking it though...." A bit of a pause, a change of subject and soon after we went our separate ways.
DIdn't think much of it then. But now it is digging at me. Do I look witchy? Midlength grey curls. A bit of frizz - then my curls nearly always have a bit of frizz.
Photos attached. Would normally be wash- day today - but playing sport tomorrow morning so eeking it out an extra day - so not an "insta-best-photo-possible.
Should I listen to the "Witchy" or the "Rocking it"? I know I look my age and don't really care. But I am just wondering if I need to rethink the length/style? I am nearly 50 (like days from being 50) so wondering if am over-thinking it cos of that...just having a bit of a crisis.
Honest opinions please?

Just to add to the unanimous chorus, you’ve got a very pretty face - you must have really grown into your face if you were an “interesting looking” child.
The curls look fab and actually the mixed hair colour looks really good - certainly not just uniform grey. Wonder if you need a slight trim though, to just deal with the slightly straggly bits? Which presumably are from you having been growing it.
I can’t see any frizz btw - the curls look really good - and you really really don’t have bags under your eyes!

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie
You look bloody wonderful. Ignore the posters saying you'd look stunning if....you already look stunning!
Notbornwithit · 04/12/2021 20:36
You might try a gloss or a glaze to add a bit of shine or if you did want to dye it try dying it and using olaplex to avoid damaging the curls.
ComeAllYeFaithful · 04/12/2021 20:37
You look amazing!
mumofthemonsters808 · 04/12/2021 20:37
You look lovely, your hair is gorgeous, ignore her she knew you looked great and instead of acknowledging this she said something stupid.
Mrsmadevans · 04/12/2021 20:37
You look fab
PinkSparklyPussyCat · 04/12/2021 20:38
You look great!
Can I ask what products you use on your hair? I've got naturally curly hair but I straighten it as it always looks matted and horrible by the second day. I can't wash it every day so straightening is easier
Piggypiggyoinkoink · 04/12/2021 20:38
Rocking it ❤️
Thenose · 04/12/2021 20:38
You're very beautiful and your hair suits you. If this is 'witchy', then it must be a good thing.
Turkishangora · 04/12/2021 20:39
I'm nearly 50 and have curly hair. I need to know the name of your hairdresser and what products you use! Your hair looks amazing!
RosieRoww · 04/12/2021 20:39
It looks absolutely stunning op.
LoveMyPiano · 04/12/2021 20:42
Maybe ---- if the witch is the one in Stardust, played by Michelle Pfeiffer (just watched it) - when she has had her "fix", not when in need of it.

Pbbananabagel · 04/12/2021 20:42
Your hair is amazing and it looks incredible on you
KittytheHare · 04/12/2021 20:43
Going slightly against the grain - you are indeed stunning, but I think you would look even more stunning if you lopped a couple of inches off. It's quite straggly at the ends.
RosieRoww · 04/12/2021 20:43
The first thought I have was that you actually resemble Galadriel from LOTR.
You have a quite elves vibe in my opinion.
holymolyguacamoles · 04/12/2021 20:43
I think you look great and people would pay a lot of money to have hair like yours.
Embrace it
BrightYellowDaffodil · 04/12/2021 20:43
No you don’t look witchy.
“Witchy” is not an insult. As a witch, referring to a woman as such is NOT A BLOODY INSULT.
Dontgetyerknicksinatwist · 04/12/2021 20:43
You look bloody fantastic OP. And not obviously grey at first glance. I’m a couple of years younger than you and have noticed my first greys recently but I have dark hair so it will show up more on me and I’m really not sure what I’m going to do with my hair when it gets obvious. I don’t think your ex work colleague made the comment to offend by the way.

@Turkishangora
Hairdresser is BellaBox in Letchworth. The owner went on a training course with Lorraine Massey, author/creator of "The Curly Girl Method". So dry cut, no silicones/sulphates etc
& @PinkSparklyPussyCat I use Faith in Nature Rose condition to wash and condition. Blot some of the water out with a t-shirt then rake through Umberto Gianni Curl Jelly. Squish the curls up a bit and leave to dry. Put in in a pineapple overnight (high pony tail) and sleep with a silk pillowslip. I rub through some conditioner to calm any sleep-frizz in the morning.
LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/12/2021 20:44
It looks great, your friend just has some internalised misogamy to deal with.
OrlandointheWilderness · 04/12/2021 20:44
You are seriously striking. Fab hair, love it.
OhYeahyeahyeah · 04/12/2021 20:44
You look amazing! I have mega hair envy
Blinkingbatshit · 04/12/2021 20:45
You look great! I definitely look witchey (as confirmed by my children) and I’m not grey yet!!
pinacollama · 04/12/2021 20:45
Gosh no, you look amazing. You have gorgeous hair.
Sauvignonandlemonade · 04/12/2021 20:46
Since when was witchy a bad thing? I always think of images like this one when I hear witch or crone. A powerful, bad ass woman that takes no shit.
