Just that really. Had it done yesterday, I have pics and happy to talk about it if anyone is considering it.

Oh can you post the pics please. I had never even heard of this, but just googled. Sounds interesting.

DirtyDancing · 11/11/2021 12:51

Oooo! How is the recovery? Are you in any pain? Have you got instant results?

PeachMelba78 · 11/11/2021 13:03

Pics as requested, the 2nd in the group of 3 is directly after the procedure.
It was pretty quick, I only had 4 threads in, 2 on each side to lift up my nasiolabial folds and to reduce my lines. My left line is much worse than my right.

I was numbed for the treatment and that was worse than the actual treatment, but I could feel the threads being tightened.
There is some improvement already, hoping for more over the next few months.
I was quite sore last night, better today but still a bit tender.

Wow that's really natural. Looks fabulous.

How long will it last? How does it improve as it where, I thought it may drop over time, not get better? Or is it to do with the swelling?

Can I ask how much it cost. No problems if you prefer not to say.

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 12/11/2021 16:11

I'm so tempted to have this done. My jowls are really annoying me as are my nasolabial lines. My usual Dr doesn't do the procedure as he says it doesn't work, but those pics are amazing, I don't think Id get that effect with just fillers.

Carl0s · 12/11/2021 16:18

Honestly can't see a difference other than lighting

DameMaureen · 12/11/2021 16:29

Would you say it has widened the look of your face ?

Taoneusa · 12/11/2021 16:29

That’s a fantastic result!

How much did it cost and how long will it last?

IslaInthesun · 12/11/2021 16:31

Looks great

SparklingLime · 12/11/2021 16:34

Surely the same lighting and positioning in the before and after photos is essential? The first pair of photos have very different lighting. Was that the clinic?

I really want to have this. Would you say where you went ? Looks good btw.

turnaroundtime · 12/11/2021 16:46

@DameMaureen

Would you say it has widened the look of your face ?
I suspect there is a tiny bit of swelling
MrsFin · 12/11/2021 16:51

I can't see any difference 🤔

Sausagedogsarethebest · 12/11/2021 16:51

I had this done several months ago. As you say the numbing procedure (with needles) was bad enough. I hated the bit when they put the threads in too. Overall, for the amount of discomfort, I didn't think the results were worth it. Hardly anything at all really. Also had a lot of discomfort for a few weeks afterwards.

My first treatment was half price as the lady was fairly new at doing it (maybe this is why it wasn't brilliant?) But I certainly won't be having it again now her prices are higher.

PeachMelba78 · 12/11/2021 17:26

It was £700 all in, difference is very subtle at the moment and my line is still visible so I am considering filler on that side only.
All pics taken by me, slightly different lighting but not much.

PeachMelba78 · 12/11/2021 17:27

I wouldn’t say my face has widened any, just lifted up. Still tender on the left side but I suspect that is due to more lifting needed as that is my worse side.

Clinic was in Glasgow city centre.

You wuz robbed

DaisyNGO · 12/11/2021 18:24

I can't see any difference but you look lovely in all the pics.

Carboncheque · 12/11/2021 18:28

You look great but I can’t see the difference.

PeachMelba78 · 12/11/2021 18:35

I agree that it’s difficult to see it the pictures but it real life I can see a difference. I am assured it will get better over time too.
I wasn’t robbed, if you want to be rude then go elsewhere, by all means you can say your opinion but politely, it’s not AIBU it’s style and beauty!
This is my first invasive treatment and I was very nervous. The before and after pics for the clinic were really good and that is why I went there.

PeachMelba78 · 12/11/2021 18:38

This thread was to give advice to those who were interested in the procedure, price, pain etc not to criticise me. I am already struggling with the ageing process and am super critical about the way I look.
If anyone wants to ask any questions about the procedure, aftercare etc then please go ahead.
I will do some more comparison pics tomorrow and over the next few weeks, happy to share if people are interested.

Carboncheque · 12/11/2021 18:38

It only matters that you can see the difference and feel it was worth it.
