To wear with a plain navy dress to an autumn wedding?

Is this fascinator okay

I don't like it, sorry. Looks like you've chopped a bird in half and stuck its bottom end on top of a pincushion.

AnyFucker · 12/10/2021 18:57

Wear a fox fur stole and you will have the full set Grin

ohthestruggles · 12/10/2021 19:20

@FawnDrench

No. It's awful, people will stare in astonishment and mutter disapprovingly behind their hands...please choose a different one.
Really!?😂😂

@PowerNap

Can you honestly buy and wear something called 'a fascinator' without slightly dying inside?
I always wear one to weddings 😬😂

Love it 😍

GemmaRuby · 12/10/2021 19:24

I hope it isn’t a country wedding, don’t go walking behind any hedgerows - it’s shooting season.

Standstheclockattentothree · 12/10/2021 19:27

There's something 'wrong' about the design to my eye. It's the proportions, or the shape of the feathers against the little round hat. I can't say exactly, but it's just off.

IGotHam · 12/10/2021 19:27

I love it. Very Carrie Bradshaw.

headintheproverbial · 12/10/2021 19:28

I love it. Very chic.

LakeShoreD · 12/10/2021 19:29

It looks like a toddler art project. My DD made a near identical one at daycare for Thanksgiving except the hat bit was day-glo orange.

BusterGonad · 12/10/2021 19:31

I like it.

I know I know, my dog is really prey driven, perhaps she'll like it more than the MN meanies Wink

I like it. I'd be more likely to wear it to a National Hunt ladies day type of thing though.

Viviennemary · 12/10/2021 19:37

Its dreadful. Its a second cousin to those hats the York girls wore.

Babamamananarama · 12/10/2021 19:37

I think it would look awesome.

Preech · 12/10/2021 19:39

I like it. I'm not into fascinators or hrs for myself. But I like the colours and patterns in the feathers together. If the dress matches the navy of the hat, and it's a formal autumn wedding, it'll look lovely.

I reserve more inner judgement for skanky dresses that show off bras, and I'll-fitting suits with trainers to a formal wedding ceremony and reception. But even then, who has the energy to tear someone down about wardrobe and spoil what's supposed to be a nice day? Wink

Preech · 12/10/2021 19:40

*hats, not hrs

Preech · 12/10/2021 19:40

*ill-fitting, not I'll

Autocorrect not my friend this evening.

Tellmeee · 12/10/2021 19:41

I think it could look fabulous.

ohthestruggles · 12/10/2021 19:42

This is the dress. Sitting tight for the comments as I have bought this already 😂

I'm even thinking about it for November Cheltenham. Looks like this thread may have boosted interest!

Dress is FAB!
ohthestruggles · 12/10/2021 19:45

We are country bumpkins and all our men have lovely tartan kilts so I think I'll make it work

I like it, I like the dress, you’ll look lovely 😊

Lol at people muttering disapprovingly 😂

stalkersaga · 12/10/2021 19:49

I like it. It's a hat, it's retro and chic and it'll look lovely with the dress.
