Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

Yes this is exactly my situation, I knew as soon as I saw it was Hermes that it would be unlikely to arrive on time!

Hermes are a pile of poo and same as you MrsMcCluskeysCat I expected the worse.

JL came super quick - that was DHL.

I've been chasing GB too. But that was a pre - order so I knew it wouldn't come straight away. All the same, my account on GB said it was delivered some time last week (shock). It took an email from me for them to confirm that this was wrong information. They took the money out of my bank account for that yesterday and tracking link to Royal Mail says they will be delivering on Wednesday. So that one looks like it's on it's way.

Yes my feel unique that DH ordered for me on Saturday arrived yesterday no problems with Yodel (at least I assume it did, I took in a large box that had a return address of feel unique on so unless he's actually a secret beauty order himself...Grin)

Looks like JL have restocked if anyone missed out.

Companies seem to be making a lot more effort to meet demand this year which is interesting. Even F&M are restocking which is unusual for them. I guess that it must be pretty cut throat in the beauty business at the moment. Most people probably won't buy much for a while after Christmas.

My CB AC was also due to be delivered by Hermes yesterday and then again today - no sign. Then got an email from CB saying it's 'working it's way trough the warehouse' - so clearly never been sent 🙄
Now says Friday 25th it should be sent

NAP has arrived, it was very well packed even though I chose the basic option. I won't have to buy tissue paper for a few years.

It's seems to be turning into a shit show with CB Angry. Not heard anything from them yet but have to give them time I suppose.

My NAP was supposed to arrive between 1 and 3 today and so far no sign.... fingers crossed this one eventually turns up or I might cry

I ordered a lipstick and eyeliner (not black) from CB to top up the number of items in edits. There was a free lipstick if you spent over €48 on Bare Minerals so I ordered the foundation that I use anyway. Free lipstick added to my basket. All good.

Except I had a new customer discount, which brought the total for the two items down to €47.07 and the lipstick was obviously removed from the basket without telling me and of course I didn't spot that it was gone as I had scrolled down to the bottom of the screen to finish the order.

I should have check the order confirmation but really, who ever does that? The new website is really crap. It should really tell you if they are removing an item from your basket for whatever reason.

I hate it when they do that @OchonAgusOchonOh not everywhere only counts the total spend after discounts so it is not consistent.

Well after hanging around all day for my NAP which was due to arrive by 3 they finally turned up during the only 10 minutes of the whole day that no one was home!

Help! My brain has turned to mush reading all these amazing calendar ideas.....

I've managed to get a CB one but would love a couple of different ones (not for me!!)..... Apart from CB, what would the best next, say, three be in everyone's recommendations??? I'm a bit smitten by the 'idea' of Harrods or F&M, but no idea if I'd ever be able to get one of those.........

And yes, first world problem, I promise I know that.....

So, excluding CB, what would be your top three calendars to hope for?!

I've ordered F&M and am really excited. JLP one is really good tho and I have a bit of palette envy of the Charlotte Tilbury palette, the calendar is a good price too.

I also thought space NK was good tho no palette and I decided I wanted a new one. And Flannels is good as well tho you do get false eyelashes :)

Still no sign of CB which according to Hermes track my parcel has been in their local depot since Friday night. Apparently.

@Thatsnotall it's little talked about on this thread but the Elle beauty AC is on my list partly because it has a full size Murad product that is pretty expensive so the cost, to me, is justified. A nice collection of makeup too.

Arrived home and retrieved CB from the bin! It's been there since Saturday.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it was something cheap, but I can't believe that they left a a £200+ package outside.

I like JL calendar and it's my favourite this year. I might get it if it gets reduced. Last year you could get them -30% from the shop in December. Also Milton brown was reduced.

My Space NK was delivered today (a day early so I wasn’t in) & it was left in the full on torrential rain ... it’s soaked all the way through 😩.
They (Royal Mail) take a £5 pair of socks back to the sorting office .. sorry just having a moan

My top three for me personally are JL, ASOS and Space NK. Have the first two, was going to get Space NK but changed my mind due to the sizes. Would be thrilled if I received it as a gift though Grin

CB seems stuck with no update on status or where is it since order day. I will be moving my business back to Space NK, they take over has already led to increased delivery times
