Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

Oh god I just sat down to drink a cup of tea, got a message from my sister to say she had got the CB calendar and then one just fell into my bag and my fingers slipped onto the payment button and before I knew it I had a confirmation email. Why do such things keep happening to me?

I’ve ordered cult amd gave JL already so just need M and S to complete my hat trick! I’ve done liberty for 4 years now and liked cult more this year. Always get M and S and have had feel unique as a 3rd before. Never more than 3 though!

I didn't get the CB email but luckily was checking other sites and saw it come up via Really Ree. Ordered. Was dithering over Harrods but probably best if it's gone I have no self control here

@Piccalino3 and @Housewife2010, the Harrods advent is now showing as ‘coming soon’ rather than the earlier ‘out of stock’ so it looks as though more are on the way 😊

Lots of CB Advents on eBay already. Someone is selling two for £799.99 each. Free delivery though. 😉

@AprilLady I look at those too with a WTF face but could they be the vloggers who unbox? Presumably they then keep the advent calendar which they then sell on ebay.

I had a look at the ebay listings too. Someone is selling the Liberty Calendar for £308 and has sold 2, but it hasn’t gone out of stock? It’s not a huge profit after fees but I suppose you will get a decent chunk of Liberty points too. Lots of 2020 cult calendars that people have had hanging around for a year too!

Am soothing my guilt by deciding which bits from the cult calendar I will definitely use myself as a luxurious treat.

I am also getting very impatient about my NAP calendar not being dispatched yet. I want it now now now!

The eBay thing makes me so cross. I remember last year when it was so hard to get the H&B calendar yet there were loads on eBay at double and triple the store price. Funnily enough there are lots on eBay again this year at inflated prices while its still available from H&B.

I guess some people might be desperate for a particular calendar so will end up buying off eBay but I always hope the sellers end up stuck with unsold stock, although if its people getting them free in the first place that wont matter to them.

I'm going to get my husband to dig last year's CB AC down from the loft this weekend so I can eBay it. I've sold empty JL ones before. I've kept hold of my old Liberty ones and fill them with chocolates for my children every year.

@LizzieMacQueen every year I intend to be patient and every year I practically rugby tackle the delivery driver to get my hands on my loot! My three year old is a master of self restraint compared to me .

I'm trying really hard to sit on my hands and not order an advent calendar. I have so much beauty stuff already and I think I've been spoiled by GWPs so feel slightly resentful at having to pay £200+ for an advent calendar. Then I waver and put one in my virtual basket, to only cancel it. Duh! The stress of self-discipline

I did join Liberty's Beauty Drop so fingers crossed that arrives today to distract me (and then all the advent calendars will be sold out so I'll be safe).

I don't want to spoil it for those who want a surprise. Happy to do a separate spoiler thread if anyone wants to see. From the info in the parcel it looks like we'll get free p&p on everything. I thought originally it was just the beauty department. Very handy for those of us miles from London who just want a few Liberty Christmas cards.
