Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 3 - Decisions Decisions! (Spoilers included)

Hope it’s ok to have started the thread as we seemed to run out of the last one a bit quickly! And I was really enjoying the thread and reading everyone’s thoughts.

I started reading the first one determined not to buy one this year.

Currently I have the Rituals one and have just ordered the Origins 12 Day one for the 12 days of Christmas!

Let the chat and decisions continue!

Regarding sorting and sorting like others I have my stash sorted into bags of cleansers, toners etc. Now that travel is back on the cards I will use them up that way.

My CB Advent in stock email has now arrived. I wonder if all the servers will go down now for the day like last year?
Since the CB website was updated at the weekend it seems that UK VAT is no longer removed for overseas customers, so I wonder if that will stop it selling out as quickly this year?

Whew ordered CB thanks all. Wouldn't let me have Blue Light discount but hey ho, still good value.

I can't see it on the website any more. I was going to send the link to a friend who hadn't registered so maybe it's already gone!

I was busy buying tickets for an event so wasn't checking on here and my email only arrived at 9.06 but I've got one and the email has arrived immediately.

Bizarrely the delivery address when I went to check out was for my old house I moved out of in June, I've probably ordered from CB at least 3-4 times since then (and I'm sure I actually deleted the address), just another issue with the new website I guess.

I got the CB email but the link just brings me to their home page. Looks like it has disappeared from the EU site! I did a search (which is crap on the new look site anyway) and it's not showing up.

They ship duties paid to the EU so they do all the necessary adjustments. Not sure about the rest of the world though.

It does. It's really weird.

I need to just sit on my hands now and remind myself I'm not buying it. I'm getting a bit carried away with all the excitement on here .

My email link finally arrived about 15 mins after you posted your link. I have an order number but still waiting for confirmation email.

Glad to see that they've limited the quantity to one per customer this year to stop people buying multiples

Oh no!! I really wanted the Harrods calendar, can't believe I missed it! 😢

I think people will make multiple orders though and then eBay them.

Re the Harrods one being out of stock, it may be worth ringing their customer services to see if they are willing to post it out. A few years ago the Liberty GWP sold out in a few hours but was in the store up to a week later. I complained and they were happy to take my order over the phone.

@MidnightMeltdown, @Housewife2010 yes, I also think the 1 per customer is important. I get quite angry at those who are only buying to resell at a profit on ebay - making it harder for all us genuine beauty lovers to get the calendars.

Someone had listed Harrods on ebay for £449 before it had even gone on sale - how does that work?

I said I wouldn't but I've gone ahead and got a CB. So alongside the Space NK that's definitely me done.

Does anyone else have a partner or DH who is a bit at the beauty obsession? Mine is generally supportive - he actually started the tradition by getting me the Liberty one years ago.
I've never had two calendars though, and all of a sudden I'm feeling nervy about it arriving

I am standing firm and waiting for the edits. Hopefully the links will work properly for them.

The waifs and strays thread last year was great. Seeing everyone else's posts felt like you were opening up a load of calendars every day so I'm really happy to make up my own calendar with the edits.

Now I really need to get some prep done for my meeting
