Bags to die for (or just save up for)

My friend turned up for a night out with a gorgeous handbag. It was a Mulberry one. Lovely, but not quite the one I would like. But I don’t know what I would like.
She said she’s been wanting it for five years and been saving up.
So what bag should I save up for five years for?
Please show me the bags you’re lusting after, or possibly the ones you already own.

Some of the bags I like already mentioned Loewe puzzle or Chloe Marcie. I also quite like Celine Luggage and Chloe Faye.

But since pandemic, I WFH and don't go out to fancy places too much, the bags I probably buy are something like mulberry Antony or one of the camera bags (YSL or Gucci)

Can i ask if you own Chanel and Dior, where do you use them (eg down at Waitrose or Tesco), out and about at the weekends etc? Do they feel "very luxury" and compatible with the rest of your lifestyle?

I think I would love a more premium brand, like Chanel but carrying one would seem to at odds with my lifestyle as I am on school runs, running errands in town or on country walks at the weekends, maybe one or two meas out per month.

I don’t have Chanel but all my bags are mulberry and I use them absolutely all the time. I have a variety for different occasions.

Currently lusting after a Mulberry Lily.

Where else do people buy second hand really posh bags from? I saw a great post by Trinny on Instagram where she was just showing all of her handbags. That was an enjoyable half hour of my life

@DietrichandDiMaggio it's fantastic. Fits all my stuff for work and there is still some room in there. I don't carry a full wallet. I use a zippered card case and have done for a couple of years. Only issue is that the strap could be longer for cross body. Otherwise perfect. Leather smells divine, great design and it has feet. I like small bags though so I know this may not work for everyone.

I love handbags. I’m a mulbs fan but the older ones. I also like coach. Just checked out aspinal & am now lusting after the Margot bag in black. Beautiful.

I am obsessed with the Celine Pico and Cabas. I’m basically a fat Phoebe Philo.

@Ireolu that's a lovely looking bag. I really like the colour, too. Is the leather soft, yet durable iykwim?

What's the inside like? (I'm obsessed with bag inners. I hate it when they don't show the inside of bags online.). For me, the fewer fiddly pockets, the better. I've looked online at the Polène site and I can't find pictures of the inside.

Have you tried cudoni? I saw it today in the daily mail looks pretty good and a fraction of the costs you see on designers sites

@IloveJudgeJudy I have tried really hard to take a picture of inside but it's hard. Has card pocket inside and at the back and it's a tall small bag so can fit lots in. Took what's in picture plus 4 other items to work yesterday and still had a bit of room in there. Lots of compliments at work.

Leather is very structured. It has no mush but may soften with use Like safiano but not textured. More grained.

@Ireolu thank you for the photos. That's given me a really good idea of the bag. It looks just like my kind of thing but I can't justify another bag. 😊 (unfortunately)

Well… after saying my next bag would be a Lily.
I did a swap with one of my other bags.

I love it @Sexnotgender. it's going to go with loads of clothes and styles of outfits.
