Fenwicks have done well in the past.

I like Elemis but think I'd rather go for a set if they calendar has a load of minis. It's the marine cream I want really and id try some bits in the same range.

The Next cal looks really good, I might get that one instead of the M&S, particularly as I've already bought the qualifying spend stuff from M&S - bedding for D1 going back to university - and there is a good mix of products, including things I can put in Xmas stockings.

I’m looking for more advent gifts. I think I’ve decided on Soap and Glory for the young girl I mentioned. Now I’m looking for one in a similar price bracket (around £40 max) for a woman in her late 30s and another in her early 60s. I can’t decide on whether to get S&G for them too or whether the MacMillan one (half price at the moment) looks better.

My Next Beauty Editors box has just arrived. £240 of products for £45 and I'll use them all. I'm almost tempted to add them to the 14 items I'll get in my John Lewis Gold ticket goody bag and I'll almost have enough to fill one of my old Liberty calendars. Although I am tempted by Cult Beauty again. And John Lewis. And M&S ...

@Housewife2010 ah lucky you getting one of the gold tickets. I think we could all create our own advent calendars ! - and for the sake of the planet we really should. The beauty companies know how to seduce us though 💄

I’ve all my old Liberty boxes - wonder if can repurpose as pen/ stationary storage - we’ll 1 of them anyway.
I think I’ll order the next box.

Update on Latest in Beauty. It will be a beauty box but the 24 items will be wrapped and numbered so would work on an opening thread here. It's worth £360. One item has been revealed - a QMS eye cream worth £150.

Really impressed with my Next editors box too. Items are individually boxed and good sizes. Planning to make up a calendar for my mum with things I think that she will like and things that are best suited to older skin.

I've just ordered the Degusta AC Box after being envious of it last year. My Teen DC will be fighting to open it I'm sure but I'm not getting 2.

As for my Beauty AC I'm undecided at the moment. I've got loads of skincare to get through, some still from last years AC's.

I must have one so fingers crossed the M&S or No7 ones will do for me.

I keep trying for the Degusta advent but there's still no lock there so not going to risk it 😤

I can’t zoom in on the photo - is the EL ANR 20 or 30ml please? As the site says ‘20ml full size’ but 30 ml is full size (and the smallest they usually sell). Thanks.

@JasonMomoasgirlfriend John Lewis is having an online beauty event next weekend. The gold tickets are £35 for one session and include a £15 voucher code and a goody bag worth about £240. I've attended the last three events and the goody bags are excellent but sell out very fast.

Ah damn! Will look out for that next year then.

Really not inspired by any of the advent calendars so far. I was lucky enough to snag a JL gold ticket and will probably get the M&S one as it's an excuse to buy some new pants!

Would love to try the Murad cream in the Next box .. it's supposed to be really good 👍

Thanks for the info. I’m not very excited by it at all - and I was pretty certain I was just going to buy it!

I wouldn’t use the: fragrance, 2 x eyeliners, polish, lipshine, alpha h, 2 x hand creams, two of the hair products or the This Works! And none of the products are items I love or have wanted to try.

I'm really pleased that the Prai night cream is in rather than the ubiquitous neck cream. I like tinted lip balms and always like This Works sleep/stress products. I'd use nearly all of except for the hair treatment products. I use Alpha H Liquid Gold anyway so another one is always handy.

I’m with gratedbeetroot - it’s not for me! My bank balance will be glad for me to not buy another advent or beauty box or GWP purchase! The sizes all look very small too but in fairness it is still a good buy - albeit not for me.
