And I can’t get it out of my head.

If I owned it my life would be better and winter would be full of wonderful crisp walks.

Sigh

It's amazing but it would be 1/4 of the size after I'd finished washing it

Pinkfluff76 · 02/09/2021 22:10

Wtaf. That for a jumper! Is this a joke??

Rina66 · 02/09/2021 22:23

I bought this khaki one last year, it was about £25? I also got it in pale blue, black and flouro pink. It's made in Italy and 100% acrylic - I'm sure there'll be in lots of the online boutiques again this year.

I mean technically I have the money, but I’m also in the process of buying a house. Maybe if there’s anything left over in the savings when we’ve moved in

It's 100% lambswool so will be nice and warm so you could look at it as saving you money because you won't need to put the heating on in your new home whole you are wearing it.

kazlau · 02/09/2021 22:44

It’s hand wash or dry clean 😱. That puts me off more than the price.

JFM27 · 02/09/2021 22:54

Hell its only lambswool, you would easily
get a a cashmere for that .Cashmere far better, and less ichy,

Ddot · 03/09/2021 06:33

Don't buy cashmere or angora from China. Barbaric what those poor animals go through 😭

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/09/2021 09:12

Any of these any good to you OP?

Some of the men's ones and a couple of the women's might suit. There is also a current shade card service where you get to choose from lots and lots of colours and also the level of 'brushing' you like.

www.houseofbruar.com/l-shetland-roll-neck-blue/ kingfisher or robin egg?

Badgercity · 03/09/2021 11:48

Unfortunately nothing gives me the feels like this jumper. The heart wants what it wants. I wish I could feel it, I need to know the exact itchiness.

@Badgercity the Motherland jumper was from Jigsaw a couple of years ago.

@CurlyhairedAssassin I agree with @Mankyfruitbowl, I like your nan's jumper. It reminds me a bit of this one www.campbellsofbeauly.com/shop/chunky-poloneck/

CurlyhairedAssassin · 03/09/2021 13:03

@Mankyfruitbowl: A sorry for the confusion, no that isn't me and my nan's jumper in the photo. It was more to illustrate that I used to ask my nan to make my a specific style in a specific colour and used to get something a lot different!

ChateauMargaux · 03/09/2021 15:22

I know what you mean about wanting to know the itchiness. I have a beautiful jumper I bought in Ireland a few years ago..it looks like chunky aran but is a wool mix. I have managed to shrink it though si it's not as nice as it was.

DGFB · 03/09/2021 15:42

None of these jumpers are anywhere near as nice as the one in your original post! I’d save up for it/have it personally and not buy cheaper ones

HeronLanyon · 03/09/2021 16:01

And has the £850+ one made feel just a bit that this is ‘not so expensive after all’ (dangerous thinking I know)

HereticFanjo · 03/09/2021 16:56

Some of these links are brilliant, thank you!

shinynewapple21 · 03/09/2021 18:03

I think that although the Celtic and Co jumper is more expensive than many others linked to, you need to remember that wool is more expensive than acrylic and that Celtic have their clothes made either in UK or in Europe so they are mostly likely paying more to the workers who are making their clothes .

However regarding washing it, remember that a high neck sweater is going to have the neck next to your skin, rather than if you bought a round neck or v neck style you could put a shirt underneath it so you could get away with washing it less .

Preech · 03/09/2021 22:00

It is gorgeous, @OP. I love the color too.

I have my eye on this fisherman's style jumper. A bit cheaper, and cotton instead of wool, but I think the ethics on the manufacturing end are decent at any rate.

Preech · 03/09/2021 22:02

@CFSKate

Ooh 🤩 the kingfisher is gorgeous too!
Durbeyfield · 03/09/2021 22:26

Good point shinynewapple (sorry not my thread but had to comment). High necked jumpers get all of the make up and perfume on them that mean the need more washing plus one which you can wear a shirt underneath means you don’t have the underarm area next to your skin. Less washing!

Squiz81 · 03/09/2021 23:25

This one keeps popping up in my Instagram feed and catching my eye

I love the colour. The neck would do me in though I think. I find roll necks uncomfortable
