I would love some wide navy trousers in flannel or wool. Not thin and plastic. Nope never happens. How about you?

@Pinktruffle

Smart flat calf/knee length boots that I can wear with dresses to work. I had a pair that I bought from Next nearly 20 years ago, they were great. Then they broke and I never found another pair. They are all clunky chunky types to be worn with jeans or too casual for work. I'm on my feet constantly at work so they need to be flat or just a slight heel sigh
Have a look at the link I posted above!

A stretchy, sequin pencil skirt for Christmas parties etc.

peaceanddove · 18/08/2021 17:59

I'm sure I bought exactly that skirt from M&S last Xmas? The sequins were matte though and in a midnight blue.

Almost everything from Toast, but 1 size bigger than their biggest size.

I bought some lovely things which were wonderful quality, style, flattering, right price-point etc, but at their biggest size were all just a half inch too small. (Apart from the Kantha jackets which only go up to L so were 2 sizes too small).

Barney60 · 18/08/2021 18:24

Lined dresses, i hate that you can see through summer dresses.
I know i can buy underskirts but i dislike extra straps on my very narrow shoulders.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 18/08/2021 18:40

A lightly lined bikini for big boobs that doesn't look like a bra and doesn't have frumpy bottoms.

I'm a 30F and my boobs are noticeably wonky since I stopped breastfeeding, so I need the lining. But I also have a decent stomach and nice bum, so I don't want full coverage granny knicker bottoms.

Another vote for 100 Stars. I bought a wonderful soft and floaty dressing gown that glides over my body in gorgeous shades of rust and turquoise. My favourite dressing gown ever ( no commission from them!)

Holothane · 18/08/2021 18:49

80s acid jeans I’d love a pair, in my size.

SquirryTheSquirrel · 18/08/2021 18:58

A fitted emerald or forest green velvet jacket with huge bell sleeves. No or minimal embroidery etc.

I once saw a vintage Topshop one in the exact style but purple (which would have been better than nothing), unfortunately it was miles too small.

loopylindi · 18/08/2021 19:11

@ohyesIknowwhatyoumean Try Country Casuals for cardi. A bit pricey but good quality and fit

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/08/2021 19:16

@BikeRunSki

Boden Richmond trousers in charcoal grey. I have these in several colours, and have asked for grey several times!

All my tops, but 2 inches longer. All my bottoms but 2 inches higher.

Yes to these!
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/08/2021 19:19

A black cotton midi dress with cap sleeves, a full skirt and either a v or wrap top and fitted waist.

Scoop neck black cotton t-shirts which are fitted but not clingy and which sit just below the waist on me.

A cotton robe, just below the knee, in a dark colour/print.

TerraNovaTwo · 18/08/2021 19:43

Dark brown cable knit hoodie
Spandex floral (roses, sunflowers or daisies) midi skirt
Long sleeve French navy breton top (thin white stripes

MrsPear · 18/08/2021 19:43

@ItsRainingTacos or how about here very much investment prices but made in England to boot

Tanga style underpants with seamless edges so I don't have to wear thongs or those terrible unflattering bikini style undies that cut my butt in half.

Lanique · 18/08/2021 20:01

A navy slightly longline tank top, ideally in a wool / silk mix, that is chunky enough to go over shirts and not have 'lumps' but light enough to wear over shirts in spring and autumn.

A pair of elegant wide leg stretchy wool work trousers that are really comfy but also smart, that flow nicely from the hip to the bottom of the ankle but aren't too wide in the leg.

SeaRabbit · 18/08/2021 20:04

For anyone after white t shirts, I really love the ones from Sunspel. Best of all are the sea island cotton ones. They last mega years. Or Margaret Howell, but I suspect Sunspel make for her anyway.

And anyone after a kimono, it's not very authentic but Zara's Limited Edition one is lovely:

Boood · 18/08/2021 20:11

Cotton vest/camisole tops that are loose-fitting, not fitted.

V-necked cotton cardigans. V necks are much more versatile than round, and I find wool/merino/cashmere scratchy.

Reasonably priced plain silk tshirts.

hotsouple · 18/08/2021 20:11

@Lanique try Nadam! I have a lot of silk, cashmere and wool blend tanks from there that I love!

IncessantNameChanger · 18/08/2021 20:12

There are a few Victorian style coats from Joe browns I would like in my size (20) but they only go up to 18. Alas, I might need to loose a stone or four. I have one and I love it.

hotsouple · 18/08/2021 20:13

@Lanique oops sorry I mean Naadam

DeadButDelicious · 18/08/2021 20:16

A glossy black pvc Mac. Belted. With pockets. No hood, they never suit me. Plus sized. Ideally 3/4 length.

evtheria · 18/08/2021 20:21

Navy cocoonish, car-style coat in wool or wool mix, hitting just below knee for a petite. Think something from a 50s-60s film. Closest thing I’ve seen was from COS last AW, it’s not exact, I’d like it slightly more cocoon-shaped, but I’d have bought it if it wasn’t on the large size for me. The hunt continues!

What a brilliant thread. I so hope that someone sharp-eyed (working for M&S or similar, perchance) would spot this thread, read it, listen to it and UNDERSTAND IT!! It would be a win- win, wouldn't it....
