Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 - contains spoilers *titled by MNHQ at OP's request*

Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

Thanks @AprilLady , I'm actually very relieved not to be wowed by the Cult Beauty contents, I already have several of the items from previous GWP etc. They're nice to have but not exciting Newness which is what I'm after.
Space NK still the leader for me.

Boots have opened their waitlist for the No7 calendars. Interestingly they are doing two calendars this year, but no contents reveal as yet. Goes on sale 13 October.

Oooh, Cult Beauty does look good. Lots of full sizes abs brands you don’t get in other calendars. A full size Bella Freud candle is a nice touch too. That flippin’ Laura Mercier powder though!
Hurray up Liberty so I can make my final decision!

At first glance CB looks a winner to me, there's a few things putting me off and I want to check out the make up shades but the value seems great so it's a definite possibility for me

I like the look of it too. Definitely more appealing than the SpaceNK one for me. Major duds for me are the black eyeliner and the bath crystals. The crystals would probably appeal if I took baths.

@OchonAgusOchonOh ha yes the crystals are one of the duds for me too, can't remember the last time I had a bath!

I think it looks quite good (although it does appear to include yet another black eyeliner!). Looks like they've done a F&M and hiked the price? I wonder whether Liberty will do that too.

The Laura Mercier and Kate Somerville products were in the 2019 space nk calendar (full size), and I'm not keen on all the eye shadows, but overall I think it looks more interesting than space nk.

It is on the expensive side though. €248 is hefty. I might push the boat out though.

Liberty is the only other one I'm interested in seeing.

Overall it really appeals to me too, Nars blusher and Laura Mercier powder notwithstanding. I think for those want make-up products, there are a few really nice items. For example, I’ve never seen a VBB product included in an advent calendar, beauty box or GWP before, and the eyeshadow palette also looks like good neutral shades; for once it’s not from Huda beauty.

Was amused though at a serum of 5ml being full-size and worth £52 though. But according to the description on the CB site this is why:

You have to be very on the ball to get the CB. Sold out in a couple of hours last time.

I don’t mind a black eyeliner if it’s liquid! Love me some flicks. Good brand too.

I generally don't want palettes as I have a ridiculous number of them that I don't use. However, the two cream pots look good. I tend to use those as eyeliner (see - it's possible to wear colours other than black).

@OchonAgusOchonOh, @LarsErickssong, I am a bath person, and rather like the Modern Alchemy range from Espa. But the bath crystals are my least favourite product from the range. I particularly rate the body polish, and it would have been a major plus if that was included.

Although including two mascaras is a bit much. I take ages to finish mascaras. And yes, i know you're meant to bin them after 6 months but I don't, and have never had an eye infection, so reckon it's marketing hype.

Hope they release the Liberty listing before it goes on sale then as I would hate for that to be brilliant after buying CB.

I’m not impressed with CB. A NARS bronzer & a too faced mascara & i’m out. Im sure I had them in look fantastic a few years ago. In fact I once had 2 mini NARS Laguna bronzers listed on eBay as I’d accumulated so many. The glow tonic is a repeat too it was in the CB GWP earlier this year. F&M is my fave so far, but I’m waiting on Liberty as I live the box. I had Space NK last year so would like a change.

Agreed. One mascara usually lasts me a year.

Looks like it includes vitamin pills which is a bit odd!

@Offredismysister - F&M is my favourite too. Unfortunately they don't ship to Ireland so not an option for me☹️

@MidnightMeltdown I was going to say Liberty had already announced their price. But I checked. They have not. Last year's was £215. I'll place a bet on £240.

Oh this is really hard isn;t it! I had dismissed LF I think as it's not very special; really tempted by F&M for the lovely face cream; OTOH like the look of CB as I think that eye palette looks good and there are some other good bits.
But two mascaras? really? I have two in my stash so even if I chuck the current one (used since Jan) I still have a year's worth. hmmmmmm

Yes I think that Liberty will be around the £240 mark too, as I noticed that the value of the products inside has increased since last year. I doubt that they've decided to be extra generous!

The mascaras are putting me off too, I've just got the Sweed one in the recent GWP and even though I like it, and like the too faced one it is a bit OTT.

I haven't seen my WOW calendar yet. I think CB is top so far despite vitamin pills and double mascara. Not sure I love it enough to justify the spend. I hope Liberty doesn't have too much of a jump in pricing.
