Can’t see a thread so I thought I’d start one. Yes, it’s unbelievably early, but I noticed Glossybox have already revealed their Advent Calendar contents for this year. Saw this reveal on YouTube this morning:

Have to say it doesn’t wow me, but there’s plenty of time and many more Advent Calendars to come, I’m sure!

I ordered Liberty GWP this morning
It’s being delivered tomorrow

Please tell me CB includes products that are sold in China/aren’t cruelty free so I can rule it out?

I’ve never spent that much money on a treat for myself so trying to talk myself out of it.

@Gomalo it includes Shiseido which is sold in mainland China.

I'm not too bothered by two mascaras as I will use them eventually. However, I'm not keen on 3 x eyeshadows, eyeliner, Nars powder, and Laura Mercier powder.

Don't think I'll get this unless Liberty is a fail.

I'm having terrible trouble logging into cult beauty. It doesn't recognise my email and password as matching. Even though I change my password which it says is successful. In the process of talking to them but I sincerely hope I get this sorted because I really want the CB calendar. Last year I ordered it, money came out of my account but no order confirmation. Then the next day money was refunded. I wear the company hates me!
Still, I got the liberty and fenwick ones (which came with a gwp!) and was very happy in the end

I can’t make my mind up between CB or Space NK. Very close to call. I think I will literally have to go through each individual item

I don't mind a mascara, I'm so undecided this year, do I get a high end one, or 2 (or 3) cheaper 😂
I do like a mix of make up, skin and hair. Wish there were more aveda products. Maybe hope for some in the M&S!
None of my mates buy beauty advent calendars , they think I'm mad but they really are my guilty pleasure

I think you're supposed to bin mascaras after 3 months but does anyone really do that??

I don't mind two mascaras as they're something I'll use and I like trying new ones. I don't mind eyeliner really either though I do t really wear pencil liner

Cult beauty looks like the best so far but bot sure I'll go for it.

And why is it always bars orgasm or Laguna? Why not a different blusher? They must realise by now that those of us who buy these things probably already have them

Space NK for me so far, depending to some extent on Liberty. I might get the H&B one as a treat for January just to carry it on a bit longer, but I can't stretch to two of the premium price ones and Space NK actually has a load of products I either already use (Olaplex 3), wanted/intended to try (the Sunday Riley and Drunk Elephant stuff) or would love but can't afford (Dr Barbara Sturm etc).

I even wanted to buy that exact NARS sheer lipstick but it was sold out - I got it in Tanganyka (sp?) instead and it's one of my favourites. I also like glitter

I honestly think I’m suffering from some sort of beauty advent / GWP fatigue this year ☹️. For the past three or four years I’ve been so excited by the whole build-up, but right now I’m just not feeling it. Wasn’t blown away by the recent Cult Beauty GWP (resisted) and now finding the current Liberty offering meh. The only calendar I’ve been interested in so far has been Fortnum and Mason, and even then I thought long and hard before purchasing- no ‘must buy’ rush. I think I’ll possibly be tempted by Liberty, depending on price/contents and if the contents are a significantly different from the past couple of years. I’m quite interested to see what Fenwick have to offer too, as I had a decent GWP from them a while back. Anyone else suffering ‘fatigue’, or just me 😂?

Luvacuppatea I feel the same. Was so keen over the last few years and spent ages working out what ones to get. This year I feel like I want to buy one or two but the excitement definitely isn't there.

I felt like that opening my January calendar @Luvacuppatea - I think I might go for the M & S one this year for November (I won't spill on these threads!) and a treat one for December. Hopefully life will be getting back to normal by January, so I'll have too much on to worry about opening a Jadvent calendar in 2022! No doubt I'll read everyone else's opening though and be jealous!

There are lots of good food ones. Kellogs do a cereal one, Pringles, popcorn ones, pork scratchings etc. What is your budget?

I want degustabox and will probably send one to DS at uni. Usually get a variety of advent calendars not just beauty. I loved H&B last year and missed M&S.

I still get excited when I see them, but in doing a quick inventory of my beauty stash, I realise that I don't actually need anything. I have about 5 pots of face cream , plus enough masks, serums, toners, eye creams and facial oils to last me the year - which dampens the excitement somewhat. I find that most products tend to last longer than I expect them to, so think I've been over buying.

I've bought F&M this year as it has more variety in products. Planning to get one other (although I'll probably end up picking up M&S too! 🙈).

Will skip Holland and Barrett this year, as although it's good value, I really don't need the products. Plus that face roller is enough to send me running for the hills...
