Anyone else tired of high waists?

I liked them for a while years ago, probably because they were a welcome variation, but it seems now almost everything is high waisted, whether we like it or not.

It doesn't suit everyone, regardless of body type, so I wish there were more choices between low, mid and high available, especially with trousers.

I have a slightly short torso, so anything super high almost touches my breasts. It isn't flattering and makes me feel like a balloon, even if I am slim. Ive been searching for straight cargo style trousers for months but all of them have super high waists, even jeans aren't backing down a bit yet.
I can't get a sleek look at all, with so much fabric billowing around my gut like that. And since I don't like tight fitting clothes (except for my leggings) it always makes me feel bunched up and fussy.

I know it's all just trends and whatnot, but this one aint for me.

I hate them, they are uncomfortable and unflattering. I want low rise bootcuts to come back!

If low rise come back I hope they keep high rise for those of us who can't wear arse crack revealing low rise jeans.

I have just bought a pair of high waisted trousers from Cos to wear with a racer back vest @ZealAndArdour - love that look

I like high waisted - I also have a long (relatively up and down) torso relative to my shorter legs, and this shape is flattering to me as it elongates the legs. Low rise is ok on me as long as I'm slim, but does make my legs look shorter, and bootcut even shorter still.

I am tall with a small waist and with longish ribs so high waisted has always been the best trouser shape for me, ditto my dds.
My friend with the opposite body shape looks better in mid to low waist trousers.

I think it is also the cut of the trousers as some mid rises did fit and not give me a wedgie but they were the more expensive brands

I have the opposite body type to most of the high-waisted fans here - I’m a short size 8, with long legs (for my height, not actually long) and a short waist. I also have a c-section bulge low down.
I love a high waist, especially paper bag top, as the waist sits where my natural waist does, and the paper bag takes the eye away from my pouch. Low waist looks odd on me and also cuts into my largest section, making me look as though I have no waist at all.

It's a great pity there aren't a range of rises. I don't like very low rise either!

It's ok for fashion, but it would be nice to find a pair of linen trousers or cargo that are mid rise.

It's not just you - tbh everyone thin or not looks rubbish in high waisted jeans - look for alternatives in charity shops and just wait it out, ghastly fashions are a con - no one looked good in skinny jeans or jeggings but fashion can make lemmings of all of us - just ignore

I hate high waisted too! I'm extremely slim and they make me look like a bean pole and they're so uncomfortable on my stomach. Can not wait for the high waisted and half top trend to end

Love them! I have a boyish figure (ie straight with a flat arse). Waiting for this gorgeous pair to arrive this week. I’ve been in mom jeans for a coupe of years now and so it’s nice to have a variation.

Absolutely with you OP! I cannot wear high waisted, have always loved and suited hipsters.

Can't stand tights for the same reason... I actually buy maternity tights from Boots to be comfy. Disclaimer- not pregnant

I'm a size 10-12 but (relatively speaking) have a wide waist and skinny hips. So high waisted dig in unless I buy about a 16-18 and then it's like I've got clown trousers on/wearing a bloody tent! Charity shops have been my friend...
