Naff things in other people's fashion sense

I know that it is a question of each to his own etc but what do you find naff in other people's fashion sense?

Don’t be stupid. No one needs anything 🙄

LST · 26/06/2021 11:04

@ChiefInspectorParker

What do you carry your stuff in? If I’m going walking or something and wearing a waterproof anorak I have a small rucksack. I also like clothes with pockets but could never fit everything in.

I wasn’t saying all women should have multiple handbags - I don’t myself - simply that I, personally, dislike the combo of anorak/outdoor style (eg North Face) jacket with a sensible, classic black leather handbag. And I really doubt that anyone wears this look because they literally can’t afford another bag or lack storage for a bag. They may wear it because it works for them for whatever reason, they may think it looks fine, they may not care, I am not saying they should give a damn what I think! It’s not a personal attack!

I don't carry stuff with me. Just my phone which has my bank card and single house key. They fit in my pockets
MareofBeasttown · 26/06/2021 11:05

Heh, I wear fleeces all the time. Also activewear. Most people seem to be doing the same where I live.

KikiniBamalam · 26/06/2021 11:06

Threads like these just make me want to wear what I like even more.

wowhie · 26/06/2021 11:07

Jeez thank goodness you lot are so perfectly styled and can show the rest of us plebs the way.

Me not liking nude courts or gilets doesn't mean I'm perfectly styled at all. I wear what I like & what I want.

HermioneGrunger · 26/06/2021 11:07

My pet hate is a sensible black handbag that is clearly worn with every outfit

I have a sensible bag that I wear with every outfit. I can afford to buy more but I just can't be arsed, it's just a bag to cart essentials around in.

As for Primark, why would I want to go and spend &10 on a handbag that will look fairly shit in 6 months and need to go in to landfill? I'll just keep my sensible, reasonably expensive but well made, not remotely fashionable, boring bag, that I use with every outfit ta.

Quite

Men in sportswear that look like they are strangers to exercise.

Veja trainers and similar because they're common. There's so many fashion victims wearing the exact same outfit right now.

Also, buying items you don't understand the meaning of e.g. band t-shirts.

Backhills · 26/06/2021 11:16

Surely in a world where we need to protect resources having more bags than you need is naff? even though we all do

justanotherneighinparadise · 26/06/2021 11:19

ableist judgement oh god what hell have I walked into now? I’m judging you on your ability to walk or you inability to walk? On the fact you have arse cheeks that flap whilst others don’t? Fill me in on my privilege please.

@TheVolturi

Those sports leggings that look sprayed on, worn with a short top so you can see the whole bum cheeks.
Appropriate clothing for my gym visits and exercise around the rec, you mean? Another advantage with them is the compression they provide, reducing the likelihood of a blood pressure drop whilst also encouraging my spine, hip, pelvic and knee joints to stay where they should be instead of subluxing.

Long, loose tops are dangerous in the gym. And like it or not, I have an arse, being a human female, so I'm not going to pretend I'm built like a wooden clothespeg in case somebody realises I have body parts. Even men stopped expecting us to wear crinolines and move as though we're half dalek around 120 years ago, after all.

People. Judging people on wearing flip flops and elastic waist are just bellends. Simple as that

I have no idea what your rationale for judging is. Tbh you seem a bit confused about it yourself.

It might be easier if you just decided not to criticise strangers for their dress sense 🤷‍♀️

You absolute transphobe😦. Get yourself back to Sex and Gender immediately.

WaltzingBetty · 26/06/2021 11:25

@justanotherneighinparadise

How about other women should just be less cunty?

Sweet heart you really are being quite the cunt yourself.

@justanotherneighinparadise Because I'm challenging you for mocking the fashion choices and activity levels of other women? Or for another reason? Please do elaborate.

Hilarious considering you're the one policing what adult human females can and can't wear

Am I allowed to wear my sprayed on gym leggings (without a knee skimming shroud) for the trip? Promise I'll try to jog a bit in case a poster thinks I'm doing it as a fashion choice because I'm not physically able to sprint. [Grin]
TableFlowerss · 26/06/2021 11:35

@ScottsThots

Lip fillers. Yet to see a single person who looks good with them. Ridiculous.
Agree. They stand out a mile off as being filled.
PurpleyBlue · 26/06/2021 11:35

But if I only ever see you wearing your running trousers as day wear and I never see you running in them I’m going to assume they are ‘active wear’ and you’re wearing them as a style statement they might have arthritis in their fingers and not manage zips and buttons.

Hoppinggreen · 26/06/2021 11:41

@Jahebejrjr

I am saying this is a thread designed to poke fun at poorer women’s style.
Do you know how much hair extensions, fake nails, tans, lip fillers etc cost? You arent getting those if you are actually poor
