Women you think are ageing beautifully with no intervention

Hi,

So I was watching This Morning and Sharon Marshall was on and I was thinking she must be 50 now and looks absolutely incredible. Not that you can't look incredible at 50, whether you actually look 50 or 30!! This isn't age bashing ATALL, but I just thought how refreshing it was to see a woman looking so good, with no hint of the pillow face, which more and more women seem to be getting these days to fight off the wrinkles.

I'm not anti botox, fillers etc, but I do worry that so many women feel pressure to have this look, rather than daring to grow old/er naturally, because that's what we see as the norm.

Anyway, this isn't an anti anything thread, I just wondered who you thought was growing older particularly beautifully, naturally.

Me. I think I'm aging beautifully for my years. Glowing skin, neat and trim hourglass figure, a bit of grey hair that blends in with natural hair colour.

I'm sure some of these people have had some subtle work done but I still think they look radiant and beautiful

She’s 45 but really could pass for mid 30s - I was really surprised to find out she was a number of years older than me.

So agree. It was the first person I thought of. Magnificent. The late Anna Magnani (Italian actress) had an enormous nose and "strong" features and was absolutely stunning. Monica Bellucci as mentioned upthread is lifted and botoxed to within an inch of her life. She often features on those before-after shows. I find Patti Smith stunning too. Vanessa Redgrave.

Kate Winslet. She was clearly meant to look a bit rough round the edges and unkempt in Mare of Easttown. But she still looked stunning, and looked her age.

Yasmin le Bon... being a supermodel probably helps!

Gwen Stefani looks exactly the same age as when they released 'Don't speak'

Gwen looks gorgeous but she has had a LOT of plastic surgery.

Almost all of the people listed here have had work done.

I read an article recently on Vicki Michelle from Allo Allo... she looks good & has lines.
She says she's not had work done, she just looks like an older version of herself.

I was watching the Friends reunion and I thought In comparison to the others the two who have clearly had the least done to their face, Lisa Kudrow and Matt le Blanc looked by far the best. Matt is out there living his best life and giving no fucks and Lisa although I think has had some Botox still looked natural and not tight and puffy faced with cat eyes.

I was quite saddened to see JA. She now has a permanent shocked look about her with eyes wide open

MP looked very odd. DS looked good, just a bit fatter in the face

I couldn't get over how good Cindy Crawford looked on the catwalk on the Friends Reunion. I think Nigella looks good and Helena Bonham Carter, both have been tweaked I would think, but not madly so. Lisa Snowdon too, I suppose what they all have in common is that they're not too thin, I suppose they've got a bit of natural Botox going on.

Seriously? She looks like she's taken an iron to her face. It's very stiff around her mouth.

I remember a conversation in the loos at a work Christmas party about how obvious it is when someone has had work done and one of the sales team piped up 'you can't tell if it's done really well though'.

I didn't say it to her but I was thinking yes, I can tell you have had botox.

Botox just makes people look a bit eerie, fillers make them look awful.

There, I've said it. You can tell, people are just being polite or they're deluded.

I love Sheila Hancock (88) but reckon she's had an eyelift.

Nope, that's a myth the cosmetic industry is peddling.

They're making mega bucks out of women's insecurities.

A few mentions for Michelle Obama - completely agree. I know she has always prioritised exercise and a healthy diet, and I guess the results are showing now in her late 50s

I saw Beverly knight recently and she looks like she hasn’t aged a day since the early 2000s. I was shocked. She didn’t look like people do when they’ve had work done and people say they look the same when they don’t. She literally looked exactly the same. I was extremely jealous.

Some of the french/Italian actresses mentioned on here I’ve never heard of before, all gorgeous. Going to have to watch more continental cinema.

Floella Benjamin has a portrait in the attic, I swear.

She looks just like she did on Playschool! I grew up and got old, and she didn’t!
