All other issues aside, I love her style! I though she’d become a bit less boho and casual in recent months but the dress is a return to form :o

As for him, I think we can conclude from his wedding look that his hair physically cannot be brushed.

I don't live in the UK and don't care about your prime minister, so nothing personal, but if we are being shallow, I don't think she looks very nice, she looks like she is wearing a nightdress and the sleeves are awful. She should have gone for something beaded and 1920s style, as it looks like a 1920 nightdress to me.

I thought she'd go more Art Deco that Catherine Earnshaw, @Lesartisansetlessansculottes.

They do say, once a Catholic always a Catholic. Even if he did find it expedient to convert to the C of E while at Eton (probably as that was the main denomination of his peers), I would be amazed if it was a spiritual journey.

Marina Wheeler's mother was Sikh, wasn't she? Rachel Johnson had an interesting tale about the time one of their siblings was getting married to a Muslim woman. The advice he received was that as one of their paternal ancestors was a Muslim, their sibling was regarded (by Muslims) as being a muslim himself, and didn't really need to 'convert'.

I think their Jewish heritage is not through the female line, so he can't claim that according to Orthodoxy.

I got married in an empire line dress, so, although more hippyish, her one is right up my street. I dislike the big gown look. I had a hair band of ivory, silk roses in my hair.

I find the dress quite dull and to try hard to be boho. I don't like the flower crown but she does look happy and I guess that's what you want for every bride.

If he has never been married according to Catholic rites, he is not regarded as having been married before.

Not true. The Catholic church recognises Protestant weddings as marriages.

I don't think they regard them as equivalent to the rites of the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church.

A divorcée who has not been previously been married by the Catholic Church can get married there.

In short, I don't think his two previous marriages need to be annulled as they aren't recognised as valid according to the rites of the Catholic Church. There are a few churches they regard as belonging to the broader Catholic family, so they would probably be recognised.

I think that, according to the CC that this is his first marriage in their eyes. Valid according to CC rites, which is different to legal or any other rites.

In short his status has meant the Catholic Church has turned a blind eye to rules they'd enforce for other more 'lowly' people.

For the person wanting a full length picture. The whole flowers and barefoot environmentalist doesn't really sit that well with the over priced refurbs, luxury lifestyle and jetting off to Mustique frankly.
