And if so, how would you style it?

I'm a bit out my depth really Blush

Oh yes! You look lovely. Just follow your instinct and go for it 💕

ineedaholidaynow · 13/05/2021 23:00

You look lovely

Ninkanink · 13/05/2021 23:00

Oh yes it’s gorgeous and you look fantastic, and you should definitely get that lovely Mulberry bag in that perfect colour!👌

Ewanispurple · 13/05/2021 23:01

@NaiceAftTea I've been following your thread but only just commenting to say the dress looks lovely on You! I would team it with a bright lip and some boots - make sure the dress has enough space for all the Treats you will have though! CakeWink

Clymene · 13/05/2021 23:04
@Clymene she'd have been so proud.

And it's her suggestion re the outing - DD listened to her tales of a wonderful afternoon there years ago when DD1 was a young teen, and secretly made her a promise that she'd take me with her first month's salary.

And here we are.

It's exceedingly bittersweet.
♥️♥️🌺🌺

have an absolutely lovely afternoon. Toast your mum - I bet she'd be super proud of you

nahdenmardybum · 13/05/2021 23:10

You look amazing OP! Have an utterly gorgeous time! CakeWine

LizzieSiddal · 13/05/2021 23:15

You look bloody lovely in that dress! Wear it and be fabulous! Flowers

minniemomo · 13/05/2021 23:15

Lovely dress but not that smart. I would wear it there but I don't care what others think preferring comfort.

Eliards2012 · 13/05/2021 23:16

When I saw the link to the dress I wasn’t keen .. but after seeing it on you it looks fabulous! Perfect for your body shape, gives you a lovely waist! Wear it and hold you head up high you look great! Have a wonderful time Smile

strawbs90 · 13/05/2021 23:18

@NaiceAftTea When I just saw the link I wasn’t keen but seeing it on you it looks absolutely fab. It instantly brought to mind Adele in the Send Your Love video. Just don’t pair it with brand new shoes!! 🩹

@Eliards2012 Cross post, I didn’t see yours! #spooky

nahdenmardybum · 13/05/2021 23:18

If you've got ya comfy trainers in your bag for after , what about these to wear with your fab dress:

https://www.marksandspencer.com/leather-ring-detail-block-heel-sandals/p/clp60437348?color=STONE#intid=prodColourId-60437347

With some 70s sunnies as previously suggested I think you would look the bomb!

Would give you a bit of lift too so you don't trip headfirst into someone's cucumber sandwiches GrinGrin

Myamoth · 13/05/2021 23:24

Another lurker who doesn't normally post on this type of thread here - no fashion sense at all - but just wanted to say that lovely dress looks way better on you than it did on the model in the website link!! Have a fab time at the Titz Smile and Happy Birthday!

How bizarre .. pretty much word for word. We must be on the same page Grin

Jumpingintosummer · 13/05/2021 23:32

You look bloody gorgeous in that dress... far nicer than it looked in the Boden mag!

Hope you have the best day!!!

zippyswife · 13/05/2021 23:35

The dress is lovely. I agree with pp I'd wear with white trainers. I think you could get a lot of wear from it and sounds like it would suit your figure. Bet it looks great on you.

Go and enjoy yourself.

zippyswife · 13/05/2021 23:43

And just seen the photo of you. Gorgeous

NFLwidow · 13/05/2021 23:47

You look fabulous. I do understand people who want other people’s opinions on outfits but do you really take heed of them? That dress was fabulous. Some of the recommendations on here and other threads make me cringe! Awful numbers. The main key is confidence. If you feel comfortable and like what you wear you’ll be fine. I’m 42 and some of the dresses suggested on here by 72 year old mother wouldn’t wear. Rock your own style and own it xx

me4real · 13/05/2021 23:48

I don't think people will frown on it unless they're A-holes.

As it's patterned, you could just have some simple neutral accessories with it maybe.

me4real · 13/05/2021 23:51

Just saw your pic- ooh it looks better on you than the model- on her it looks more tunic-y and like it doesn't have a waist.

me4real · 13/05/2021 23:51

Trainers- hell no! But maybe that's just me.

me4real · 13/05/2021 23:54

@nahdenmardybum I misread that at first for some reason and thought you said wear trainers in the restaurant lol.

Thought I must be really uncool. :)

Floisme · 13/05/2021 23:59

Very pretty dress and perfect for afternoon tea I'd have thought, but they mean it about no trainers in the Ritz - we were turned away a few years ago because our son was wearing them.

ScrambledSmegs · 14/05/2021 00:00

Oh it looks great on you! Love it.

SealHouse · 14/05/2021 00:05

The dress is gorgeous and looks fab on you! I would pair it with a pair of wedge espadrilles - something like these...

espadrille.co.uk/product/desert-blush-suede-lace-up-wedge-espadrilles-high-wedge/

and bring trainers in a bag for walking around later.
