This is not sponsored , I'm not advertising or angling to sign people up. I don't work for them- all these facts will become obvious as I think I look shit in all of it.
I love the t shirt detail and like the culottes snd skirt but I'm just too fat of middle and too short I think. Give me your views !
Loved having tucked in waist but think maybe narrower would be better. Skirt lovely and I'm losing weight so maybe ok with good knickers and a different top but I'm not overwhelmed. The bag they sent us lush mind you. And handbags ALWAYS FIT. But I don't need a bag. Do I? I could start another thread on bags. How many I own is dreadful but some (a lot) are cheap and bought for a night out and I'd lose happily. I've no pic but this new one is sage teen quilted leather. Small cross body with gold chain strap so a bit nice for summer drinks out. Keep or lose ? £60...
excuse messy bedroom with endless charity bags and baskets of kids clothes they've outgrown...

I tried lookerio for the first time this month... I literally gasped in horror at what arrived! I even linked a Pinterest board for them - it’s as if they looked and it, read my feedback and though to themselves ‘right, what can we find that’s the complete opposite of this’? Bizarre

EuroTrashed · 29/04/2021 07:40

I did Stitchfix three times. Asked for tailored black trousers with a generous budget, and for someone short. They sent me thin viscose cropped wide legs in polka dot, pull on polyester patterned own brand trousers and jeans. Apparently they were unable to lay their hands on a single pair of black trousers. Three times!

Twinkie01 · 29/04/2021 07:43

Jesus burn them all, they don't go together and don't flatter you at all.

Twinkie01 · 29/04/2021 07:45

You should work for the dreadful company as you obviously have more of an eye for what suits people than their current employees. The jeans and striped top looks lovely.

bunglebee · 29/04/2021 07:48

@eurotrashed I had a similar experience with Stitchfix. I asked to try out a couple of big current trends. They said they couldn't find any. At all.

The stuff they sent me fitted but was just very blah and bland. I kept one jumper, everything else went back and after two boxes I cancelled.

HairyJBilge · 29/04/2021 07:49

You look great in your own clothes! I wear jeans and stripy tops and don’t look anywhere near as good as that.

Send back the polyester travesties!

Notavegan · 29/04/2021 07:53

I thought the middle outfit was nice on you, but probably better with colour.

Bluntness100 · 29/04/2021 08:01

Gosh, it’s like looking at two different people. The first images look like a frumpy middle aged over weight woman and the second look like someone much younger with a good figure. They couldn’t have got it more wrong.

SmileyClare · 29/04/2021 08:47

Hi op I hope you didn't think I was having a go at you. I was more musing about the concept of something like Lookeiro.
I agree, on paper it sounds like a good idea, in reality the concept is flawed, at best hit and miss.

I mean you're paying p and p and a stylist fee to be sent clothes that clearly don't suit you. I'm annoyed on your behalf!

Customer details are probably entered into a computer algorithm and items generated from a stock pile, rather than a personal stylist curating a look just for you?

Maybe I'm too cynical! You might have more success asking for advice on here? I've been given some good recommendations with links when I've asked.
I hope your confidence hasn't been knocked . You look great in your own clothes and you can easily dress to enhance your curves. Smile

bunglebee · 29/04/2021 09:00

Having tried them out and seen a few people do so, I reckon that Stitch Fix and Lookiero can be good if your body has changed significantly and/or you've completely lost your way on clothes and need a bit of help and scaffolding to build up stuff that works for you, but if you already know your body and your look, they're absolutely shite.

Bluntness100 · 29/04/2021 09:25

The thing is those clothes in those materials and colours are notoriously difficult to wear, unless your really slim, they are simply shapeless and too thin shiny pale materials. I’m surprised they got it so so wrong.

starfishmummy · 29/04/2021 09:36

I do feel a bit crap that I look this shit though!! I've a rare talent for making clothes look crap

No one would look good in those. It looks like you have been dressed fron a charity shop reject rail.

Bluntness100 · 29/04/2021 09:42

Agree the overwhelming majority of the population couldn’t make those outfits work.

NoSiree · 29/04/2021 09:42

I actually think top models would look crap in those. It is 100% the clothes. They're horrid. You're lovely!

ashmts · 29/04/2021 12:03

@SouthOfFrance

I feel like we need a thread where people can post photos of themselves in the outfits they've been sent, so we can see what these companies are really like.
This would be really interesting actually

@SmileyClare Grin I wish, would be more interesting than my actual job. You make a good point actually, I'm trying to get away from fast fashion so the environmental impact is something to consider. Saying that, it's a drop in the ocean compared to how much most people order online, get delivered and return. I also think it probably appeals in covid times when we can't just go in and browse and try things on. It's like getting a wee present to yourself. Probably once shops reopen in a more normal way I'll stop using it.

SouthOfFrance · 29/04/2021 14:15

ashmts Go on make one! Would be really fun. I'd start one but I don't subscribe to any (yet!?)

Yeah that's probably me - I'd got into a rut and had really stopped trying new things. My first Lookieroo box I kept everything, second one actually got opened and half the stuff stolen Shock and I have to say the service was brilliant around that. Replacement box I kept it all but there was a fairly bland scarf that I wouldn't have bought, just couldn't be bothered returning it (you get a discount if you keep everything too). Third box I loved - a mustard yellow biker jacket I would never have looked at, a cornflower blue blouse ditto, a fairly straightforward black jumper that I would say is 'useful' rather than fashionable, a nice T and a pair of non-skinny jeans that I'm still working up to Smile
Cinderellashoes · 29/04/2021 15:36

You have a lovely figure, you look great in the jeans and striped tshirt! Those clothes don’t do anything for you in the first post, but no one suits everything. I think your skin tone would suit jewel colours or plums, navy etc.

Amyheadache · 29/04/2021 19:12

Good lord that is really poor. Did you have to fill in a bio? They’ve picked clothes that make you look the same colour from top to bottom!

They’re all too big too?

Darker colours make your skin and hair pop. You look great in your own clothes! X

mimirouge · 01/05/2021 21:58

Return it all. Possibly keep the villages but you need a better top. Too white and beige

wishywashywoowoo70 · 01/05/2021 22:14

Definitely better in your own clothes. Your shape looks great.

SpeckledyHen · 01/05/2021 22:19

Dreadful. Why did you even try them on ?!?
