This is not sponsored , I'm not advertising or angling to sign people up. I don't work for them- all these facts will become obvious as I think I look shit in all of it.
I love the t shirt detail and like the culottes snd skirt but I'm just too fat of middle and too short I think. Give me your views !
Loved having tucked in waist but think maybe narrower would be better. Skirt lovely and I'm losing weight so maybe ok with good knickers and a different top but I'm not overwhelmed. The bag they sent us lush mind you. And handbags ALWAYS FIT. But I don't need a bag. Do I? I could start another thread on bags. How many I own is dreadful but some (a lot) are cheap and bought for a night out and I'd lose happily. I've no pic but this new one is sage teen quilted leather. Small cross body with gold chain strap so a bit nice for summer drinks out. Keep or lose ? £60...
excuse messy bedroom with endless charity bags and baskets of kids clothes they've outgrown...

Oh wow, just seen you in your own clothes and you look so much nicer, I'd definitely ditch this company.

Battleaxeoutofhell · 28/04/2021 18:06

@Tisforptarmigan

Oh what a shame that they sent you such dowdy ugly clothes. I would have been so excited to try a new look and be 'styled'. What a disappointment.

You look lovely in your own clothes though. You should include a link to this thread in your comments back to them so they can see how badly wrong they got things.

I totally agree! This has put me off ever trying one of these sorts of companies. You sound quite down on yourself OP, if you think these sorts of clothes are even remotely acceptable!?I hope you're okay. Your own clothes suit your shape and fit properly. I'd try work with that style perhaps adding a few bits out of your comfort zone. My 73 year old Mother wouldn't wear the things they've posted to you-It's almost like a joke!
Sp1ke3 · 28/04/2021 18:10

You look so much better in your own choices! The others really did you no favours at all. What about a stylist appointment with John Lewis or something?

Mellonsprite · 28/04/2021 18:26

You look so much better in your stuff.
I think you’d look really nice in a dress, I’m thinking a mid green/ blue, no beige 🙈

ElizabethTudor · 28/04/2021 18:33

It’s definitely THEM not you.
You look great in your clothes.
But I can’t believe they had the audacity to charge you £160 for all that beige.
I’m glad you’re returning it.

Bumblebee1980a · 28/04/2021 18:38

Return. Sorry.

To be fair what you're wearing wouldn't even look good on a supermodel.

SmileyClare · 28/04/2021 19:14

what looks like an old sports t shirt borrowed from your brother

Sorry op but Grin I'm glad you've been good humoured about this awful "styling" experience. Hope it hasn't dented your confidence !

Also laughing at Lookshiteiro

Fauvist · 28/04/2021 19:33

The clothes you chose yourself are 100x nicer and suit you 100x better. I do not think this Lookiero thing is worth whatever it cost! You seem to be doing just fine on your own.

ashmts · 28/04/2021 19:44

I think people are being a bit harsh on Lookiero tbh. I haven't used it myself but I've tried StitchFix. They don't necessarily send you outfits so the stuff doesn't have to go together, you're encouraged to try things on with your own clothes. And OP said (in her OP) that the skirt is lovely and she likes the detail on the t-shirt, so it is possible that they've based the choices on things she's said she likes. And if it's like StitchFix you don't pay £170 upfront, you only pay for what you keep (minus delivery and styling fee).

Saying that, I don't think the stuff looks worth £170 and it doesn't really suit your body shape, as people have said. But they're sending you clothes without knowing what you look like, so supposedly the boxes get better the more you use them and give feedback.

thinkfast · 28/04/2021 19:49

You look great on your own clothes OP. Lovely

Return the crap they sent you. It doesn't suit you.

Susannahmoody · 28/04/2021 19:53

Lookiero is actually a real company? Not made up?

FindingMeno · 28/04/2021 19:54

I've just got the gist of this.
I saw the first pictures and was trying to find something tactful to say. I didn't realise they were a possible purchase. No no no Shock

FindingMeno · 28/04/2021 19:55

Sorry, posted to soon.
You look way way better in your own clothes

FourTurnings · 28/04/2021 20:09

I agree with you ashmts. I’m a Stitchfix fan and am about to try Lookierio. You pay for what you decide to buy (which is the normal retail price). It’s a bit of fun, they don’t always get it right but sometimes they do.

HoldontoOneMoreDay · 28/04/2021 20:11

Wowsers! I've had three Lookiero bags and have loved everything - does your partner's ex girlfriend that he dumped for you work there by any chance? Their stuff is usually much brighter and cooler than that. You look a million times better in your own jeans and top!

polkadotpjs · 28/04/2021 20:15

I think they saw my haggard photos and thought "hey - time to try and palm off those Per Una things we got cheap Wilma"

OP posts:
SelkieIntegrated · 28/04/2021 20:19

unflattering rags, return them all!

Just seen you in the second photo, the stripy navy top suits you so much better.

SmileyClare · 28/04/2021 20:29

I don't really understand the "fun" element of being sent random clothes items in the hope they suit you. Then schlepping them off to the post office to be returned after a disappointing trying on session!

Call me old fashioned but I'd rather look at clothes first and choose what I like Confused Oh well, hopefully lesson learned Op awaits Op's next thread "Stitchfix sent me these monstrous trousers...

ashmts · 28/04/2021 20:50

@SmileyClare But the point is they're not meant to be random, the stuff you get sent is based on feedback you've given or styles you say you liked. For example I've just had my second StitchFix preview and it looks good. I said I'd like mini dresses, playsuits, and a neutral/pastel blazer. The preview had two mini dresses , a jumpsuit, two blazers (one navy, one tan but in a plaid/check pattern), a couple of tops and a midi dress. I've selected one of the mini dresses, the jumpsuit and a top. I get 5 items sent in total so two will be a surprise now. I've fed back that I liked the blazers but would prefer either black or a neutral block colour so hopefully they take that on board. I wouldn't have selected the jumpsuit if I was looking online or in the shops, so it gives me the chance to try something I otherwise wouldn't have that might end up suiting me.

My problem with browsing is I get overwhelmed with choice so actually it's useful to have limited selection. Also there's no obligation to keep things, and going to the post office isn't much effort. No more than going to shops anyway. It won't work for everyone, but I'm enjoying it.

SmileyClare · 28/04/2021 21:09

Fair enough, it must appeal to people. do you work for them?Grin

To me it sounds like a waste of time and money when you're essentially telling them what to send you and receiving several items you don't like. Hundreds of couriers driving to houses delivering clothes for people to try on and send back.

That said, I can't afford to buy new clothes often so it's a real treat to browse and pick stuff for myself. We're all different I suppose. I'd hate someone telling me what to wear!

idontlikealdi · 28/04/2021 21:14

@polkadotpjs

The whole lot of what they sent is £170 btw
Someone's taking the Nick out of you for that!
BalloonSlayer · 28/04/2021 21:29

You look great in your own clothes.

That skirt they sent you looks like when we used to buy elasticated fabric from the market, sew it up the side and voila! A skirt. For £2.99!

You have far better taste and style than that bunch.

polkadotpjs · 28/04/2021 22:44

@SmileyClare I got one to try because I hate shopping right now with my figure. Used to love it but struggling to find some stuff that flatters my new rotund shape. I can't wait until I lose more weight to get at least a few items. If this thread bored you then you'll know to avoid any future ones I may post. I find it genuinely interesting asking to be dressed. There was no option to get personal shopper when I ordered this and correct me if I'm wrong but we can't try stuff on right now. It's a good idea. I'm not slagging off Lookeiro- i merely sought confirmation that the items didn't suit me at all this time. Which is overwhelmingly the case. As opposed to DH simply saying "you look all middle". You crew have been more constructive than him

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 28/04/2021 23:01

Agree with pps saying send the picture of you in your own clothes. You look great in them.. Their choices are horrid and would be on anyone. Stick with your style - you've got it right already!

SouthOfFrance · 29/04/2021 00:22

I feel like we need a thread where people can post photos of themselves in the outfits they've been sent, so we can see what these companies are really like.
