Been googling long jumpers and I love this, but never heard of this brand before - is is genuine or a scammy site? Shein Colour block Jumper

I've ordered twice. First time I was skeptical. It's all Chinese imports but I was surprised by the quality. I kept most of my first order. I did another order a few weeks ago and again have kept most of it, mostly ordered dresses, tops, shirts and some skirts. Returns were easy enough, took a week or so but money was refunded without any hassle.

itbemay1 · 23/04/2021 17:17

I've bought a few bits, quality is rubbish but you get what you pay for. On par with primark I would say.

Fembot123 · 23/04/2021 17:20

I’ve bought stuff for the kids before, not a scam but yes definitely comparable to Primani

Subwaylunch · 23/04/2021 17:20

I bought for my daughter and the size was massive so won’t be buying from them again. Also, it took ages to arrive.

adrianmolesmole · 23/04/2021 17:22

Ahh thanks, glad to know it's not a scam at least. A lot of the reviews seem American so I guess it's bigger over there.

I've bought from there several times. I was sceptical at first especially with it being so cheap but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of most of the items. I would say it's about H&M quality for most things, primark for others. Currently wearing some very comfy and well fitting shorts from SHEIN Smile

Cocolapew · 23/04/2021 17:26

DD buys loads, she says to check out the reviews for each item because some aren't great.

UserTwice · 23/04/2021 17:28

It's beloved with teenage girls so DD orders quite a few things. The quality is not great (very much cheap fashion) and they take a while to come, but you get what you pay for.

MrsTophamHat · 23/04/2021 17:29

I like it! Definitely Primark quality but that's to be expected. I got a few chunky knit jumpers, have washed them on cold all winter and they've stayed lovely and soft. Got some long dresses for work as well.

BraveGoldie · 23/04/2021 17:33

Discovered them recently and have had several successful orders.

Newgirls · 23/04/2021 17:34

It’s got a very bad reputation for poor factory working conditions. That’s why the prices are so low. Shame as the designs are good.

PatriciaHolm · 23/04/2021 17:40

DD won't let me order anything from there for her as, as above, she's heard lots of bad things about the working practices from where they buy. Realistically, they are a super cheap Chinese retailer; there is no way their clothes are ethically sourced.

Changingwiththetimes · 23/04/2021 17:57

Yes a few things and they can run large so sizing is hit or miss.

adrianmolesmole · 23/04/2021 17:58

That's a shame, though not surprising judging from the prices.

LemonSherbetFancies · 23/04/2021 17:59

DD uses it here and there but says the quality isn't very good, especially on the jumpers.

ImNotThatPathetic · 23/04/2021 18:02

It's a gamble but at that price you rarely lose. I can't order Primark for home delivery so this is the best equivalent.

Some household items are good too but my ton of 21 biscuit cutters got a laugh. The largest biscuit would have been the size of a 10p piece. However, they're fantastic icing cutters now.

longhaulstress · 23/04/2021 18:03

I like it but have only ordered easier items to fit like t shirts, blouses and loose dresses and have been happy with them all. Quality is definitely mixed but no worse than primark in fact t shirts are definitely better. Sizing is pretty accurate as well.

Wouldn't risk things like jeans, jumpers only because it's a pain to send back and I don't trust the fit of them!

queenbee43 · 23/04/2021 18:06

Quite hit and miss. Some stuff is lovely and others can be weirdly sized and not very good quality. And you can't tell until you get them! Delivery takes ages too but if you're willing to take the risk you could end up with a bargain.

Anonmousse · 23/04/2021 18:09

DD buys quite a bit from there but I think most if it's pretty horrible - I think it looks a lot more cheap and nasty than primark. 1 pair of shoes broke on their 2nd wear and another item she sent back because the sizing was ridiculous

Devlesko · 23/04/2021 18:11

Genuine, some stuff is ok, but other stuff lacks any quality.
I've bought a few dresses, great for petitie as so many mini's.
Denim jacket excellent quality.
Sizes I found pretty true.
Delivery takes for ages though, so no good in a rush.
It's a bit like Primark online.

Bought some bikini sets last week as my first order from them - pleasantly surprised!

Myfanwyprice · 23/04/2021 18:15

Always check the reviews out, lots of people post photos, and include their weight/height so you can get a good idea on fit and quality.

Amdone123 · 23/04/2021 18:15

Definitely hit n miss, but I ordered a gorgeous dress for my cousin's wedding. It was £20, the material is beautiful and I feel great in it.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 23/04/2021 18:16

Some things turn up completely wrong like strange sizing , odd material, or looking different to the photo . But some are OK. You get what you pay for , be prepared to send at least half your order back. Returns are easy and refunds quick
