Well they arrived @ToastCosILoveIt. Going back I’m afraid. Longer than I expected. I would say they’re a good fit but if they stretched and I lost the remaining lockdown weight they’d probably be too big.

ToastCosILoveIt · 01/07/2021 17:14

@Countmeout, how disappointing, I am feeling the same about the 12, not that they are too long but that they feel a tad too big and if they stretch with wear they won't look very flattering. The 10 will arrive tomorrow so I will have a proper chance to compare.

Laska2Meryls · 01/07/2021 17:37

Im pleased that we are. Back in love with Toast again.. I have a few things on order but as I am currently away in my campervan ( and it keeps raining bah) , I will have to wait until I get back next week to try the things I have bought on ..
So far while I have been away I have ordered the plum striped and cinnamon striped tees from JL and the ochre dhuggie and green wide linen top from Toast . The latter sadlt full price but having seen it on cherries , and having the green crops already , I thought that I would give the ' jumpsuit' look a go also .. 👍

If anyone's considering the ora check cotton dress in olive. I can say that it is beautiful. Light, pretty, muted but not dull fabric, great details. Slightly too wide at the waist considering the side zip that implies a more fitted look. I'm only sending it back as it looks too stuffy on me and I think sizing down would just leave me in an 80s, wearing mother's dresses, mode.

AmethystMoonShine · 02/07/2021 10:58

Some further reductions on a few items on JL also the Piha dress is now in the sale for 98 pounds if anyone’s after that.

dudsville · 02/07/2021 11:25

My cotton sateen wrap skirt in caviar arrived today. I love it! I really like the fabric and weight of it, finger, so I suppose it's helpful we don't all like the same things!

I'm now waiting on two dresses and then that's my shopping binge over with. Its the denim wrap pinafore and the cotton linen wrap (in "slate" I think?).

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2021 12:09

Ok so sale purchase.
Ordered the jute gabi's - love them. I have others so knew they would be a winner. Already have in navy and grey.
Good for spring summer. So so comfy.
The cinnamon/forest stripe top. Love it. Size medium gives plenty of room but its sooooo short. Fab colours. Really beautiful quality but I am sleeping on it as I am not sure I will wear that much. Its has a beautifully flattering neckline and I do love the sleeves. It is definitely cropped.
Plum linen striped half sleeve. Love it.
Fracap gladiator sandals love love love [Got in black]
Still awaiting the lime and black check dress [should come today]
Also the large navy check wide leg crinkly trousers.
Last purchase - linen half sleeves in charcoal and the beigy striped one but its a small so not sure how it will fit across the chest.
That is all my sale purchase. I am now not even looking.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2021 12:11

I love the half sleeves and find them so flattering and have searched literally high and low for an alternative but nothing fits the bill. Hence the purchases.

dudsville · 02/07/2021 12:40

I must stop looking, I've now ordered the pihu dress, ffs. They didn't have a 12 and I'm guessing the 14 will be too roomy. Fingers crossed.

AFingerofFudge · 02/07/2021 12:58

@dudsville I'm glad you like the skirt! For me I think I was just expecting something light and so the heaviness was a surprise.
I bought the cotton linen trousers in the yellowy spice colour and they are definitely staying, they're gorgeous and fit really well. I have also ordered the Oxford dress in the yellow colour too. I would have liked the purple colour but it's sold out. I like those dresses, I have the Edith chambray dress and I like the buttons all the way down- I have a long term shoulder injury and I have limited movement in my left shoulder so it helps with getting it on and off.

MrsCat1 · 02/07/2021 13:05

I have bought the Fan print shirt which is lovely. Great fabric and print. I would love the swimsuit in the same print but it's not in the sale. I purchased the polka dot nightie but sent it back. It just didn't suit me.

ScottishMouse · 02/07/2021 14:24

I have just placed another order! I really need to stop reading this thread, it just keeps making me have another wee look. Ordered the check cotton linen easy jacket and the piu jacket - all that chat about it up the thread made me think I should try it again.
Also had an order arrive this morning with the Steve Mono sandals. Terrible on me, my feet are wide and I think they would take a lot of breaking in and even then would probably still be too narrow. A good thing for my credit card though.
Am also considering returning the ikat wrap jacket I got a couple of weeks ago. Although lovely, I’m not sure if the combination of patterns is too much for me (I’m a plain navys and greys kind of gal, with a stripe thrown in now and then). I have a similar wrap jacket in a navy stripe from quite a few years ago and wear it tonnes, but that one is also lighter, the one I just bought is double weight as it is reversible. So a bit warm for now, but probably too cool for most of the rest of the year. Does anyone have it (last year’s version with the toffee coloured check from the Ida dress combined with a blue check ikat)? Do you wear it often? My credit card would thank me for returning it, but will I regret it??

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2021 14:50

Oh my gauzy linen dress in lime and black check [non sale] is absolutely gorgeous. A much finer linen but the colours are adorable and not cheap looking. Holding in to my purchase in case they reduce it!

ToastCosILoveIt · 02/07/2021 15:22

@neveradullmoment99, I would never have thoguht about that dress but now i am thanks to your comments Grin: does it come up big? I am recommended a medium on the website but I find it often oversizes me. it is definitely a sale piece for me though.

@ScottishMouse, I have the toffee colour check wrap jacket from last year. It is good with jeans in the winter. I have a heavier red version too that is very warm and great in winter.

I have picked the Ashley long cropped jeans up in 10 from Waitrose: just about to try them on.

Must stop looking and buying...

ScottishMouse · 02/07/2021 15:29

@ToastCosILoveIt - do you wear it as a jacket, or as a top/cardigan with a jacket/coat over it?
I need to decide before Monday as that is the last day I can return it. But the other jackets won’t come until after that now, so I need to decide without seeing them. Can really only keep one. Argh.

I am carrying a few more pounds than I like but still managed to fit into the small! It is shearer than other toast linens but it is really so unusual colourwise. Its not so sheer it is see through though despite one review. I think it is definitely gauzy. Definitely size down.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/07/2021 15:41

@ScottishMouse I love that wrap jacket. I would personally wear it like a cardigan. I find that I rarely, if ever wear a jacket in the summer months unless it is raining. I usually wear a cardigan and esp if I am just jumping in the car.

Sooverthemill · 02/07/2021 17:48

Does anyone have this cardigan. If so how does it size and opinions on itchiness please!

Blossomtoes · 02/07/2021 18:08

If it’s anything like the linen jumper I bought last year, it’s a bit crunchy and scratchy. I thought it would be soft and was really disappointed. Which reminds me that I need to eBay it.

ScottishMouse, I wear it as a top, done up. I have never worn it as a jacket.

ScottishMouse · 02/07/2021 19:03

Thanks @ToastCosILoveIt, that’s how I wear the other one I have. But it is much thinner and the sleeves shorter and a little less wide so it fits inside a jacket or coat. I’m not sure this one would. Will have a wee trying on session over the weekend and decide.

ToastCosILoveIt · 02/07/2021 19:29

Thanks @neveradullmoment99, very helpful.

dudsville · 02/07/2021 20:30

My dresses arrived. The denim pinafore is fabulous. The cotton linen wrap isn't actually a wrap dress, just wrap effect, and the top was very loose on me. I thought that wearing something under it wouldn't look nice so it's going back.

When I tried to place my return the website was down. I emailed them and they wrote back in minutes with my return label.

AuldFox · 02/07/2021 20:36

Gah, I love the vine print dress but the size 8 is too big. The material is beautiful and I could probably still wear it belted in. I may not have a choice to return it, as Toast returns is not recognising my order as being delivered and thinks I still don’t have it Hmm

Really Toast you’re just f*cking with us now aren’t you? Grin

Aha @dudsville I thought the same about the cotton linen dress and was saying the same to @Gonegrey31 I ended up returning this one despite loving the colour.
