Hello again Toasties !!
Here we are again ..Spring has definitely sprung.. and here we are leaving lockdown again (hopefully for the last time) and with any luck planning some social opportunities to wear our lovely stuff actually out somewhere !!

I hand wash almost everything that says dry clean in cold water, squeeze gently and dry flat outside on a towel. Haven’t had any shrinkages in Toast clothes yet.

I’ve washed a few things, no disasters yet. But I don’t have that dress. I’m more wary of viscose.

John Lewis are spot on. Ashley jeans bought this morning dispatched this afternoon. Should arrive with me Thursday. I love John Lewis .

They've added the cotton linen wrap dress in slate into the sale, so that's another purchase.

So far I've kept a dress and skirt, returned a dress and culottes, and am awaiting two skirts, 3 dresses and a pair of trousers. Please god let me not like all of these things!

Haha @dudsville I’m finding it somewhat easier to resist than you, mostly because my size has sold out. I’ve ordered the vine print dress though!

Ooh love that dress. Just didnt think it would suit me around the chest area. Interested to know how you get on with it.

I too loved the print of the lento dress, but I think the style would make me look like a sack of oranges.

Argh, I have just placed another sale order too even though I really can’t afford it. Have ordered the check cotton linen easy jacket, the steve mono sandals, and a shibori knotted bag. Already have the ikat wrap jacket and the stripe slubby cotton tee from the start of the sale. Oops.

Can I just double check - there is absolutely no paperwork at all to go into the returns parcel? I always feel nervous doing this!

That’s right @ilovecherries. Though since all the trouble I had a couple of months ago, I put a note in with the items I returned from the sale order, detailing the items I was returning. I also took a photo of the note with the items I was sending back. Just in case!

I just returned it and hoped for the best!

ilovecherries, I included a print out of the label generated online where you state what you're returning and put a copy in the bag for my own piece of mind.

I love the Lento print dress but I’d look like a sack of oranges - brilliant description - in it too. My credit card is very grateful!

I bought this full price and returned it. The linen was stiff and the fit was very oversized for me. I think on a tall person, it would look lovely. The tobacco colour is very nice and it would soften with washing.

AuldFox oh thank you, I fear it may well not suit me, I’m not tall boo.
I did go for a smaller size given the 2 reviews online suggested it was on the large side. Went for the putty colour. We will see !

Yippeee have finally got my hands on the Maeva dress in an 8, fit a bargainous £60!

I feel I've been waiting for this since we started these threads!

I’ve had a big posing session this evening and I’ve sent back the toffee pull on linen trousers (really don’t need them esp at full price) and the wave dress (somehow just not doing it for me). Also sent back the red pihu dress. I thought I liked it enough to pay full price for it, but it really didn’t suit me. Too tight round the waist and too big everywhere else, plus the pattern and colour together overwhelmed me. After scoring a return of the damson shirt dress in a 10 this evening, the 8 and the 12 have also gone back.

I’m keeping the placed check dress plus the green linen top to match the trousers I already have. Still got the trailing vine dress to come, and will choose between it and the anoki print dress once it arrives. I’m really pleased with what I’ve kept, will enjoy having some fresh new things to wear.

Also, gonegrey, thanks for the book recommendation - that will arrive tomorrow. New books and new clothes - perfect.

Oh - and I kept the fine check linen culottes, which was a reorder. Couldn’t bring myself to keep them first time around but there is something about them I love.

I hope so too! I did go to see it in the flesh and it's much more grey/red than the vibrant blue/pink as it looks online... but I still wish I'd tried it on in store - couldn't because of Covid!

I see Toast is in The Times' 33 Labels to Buy this Summer article in today's Times 2. Described as "For pinafore dresses, shirt dresses and block- print dresses with swingy skirts, head to Toast. Everything is perfectly cut, with a good weight to the fabrics (cotton, linen, silk) and nothing is fussy or overdone".

So here's the olive oil shirt dress in an 8. I really love the colour and am going to try a 6 now because the 8 seems extra big, but if the 6 is too small, do you think this is still ok? Not too huge?

I think that is a lovely colour @faustina. I think possibly they’re meant to have that oversized look. If I were you I’d try the smaller size and decide between the two. Someone else will be along in a minute who maybe has more idea than me. What sort of material is it? Is it likely to stretch during wear?
