Nothing has grabbed me at all in the sale.
Very odd about JL.
ilove
I think they are all too big, sorry !
The check dress was on one of the Insta styling sessions and looked very fitted withe the waist pulled in , very 50s.

Countmeout · 26/06/2021 05:32

John Lewis has now reduced some things. Not much and not by much.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2021 07:24

@Countmeout I saw that.
They have reduced a few things but not as cheaply as Toast itself. Why bother? Esp with price match.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2021 07:26

Its a bit mean!

goldpendant · 26/06/2021 07:53

How long are your orders taking to arrive?! I'm on day 7 and it still just says unfulfilled 😌

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2021 07:56

My order took about 6 days including the weekend.
It said unfulfilled when I recieved it! So I wouldn't go by that.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2021 07:56

Hopefully it will come todaySmile

Scrawlit · 26/06/2021 08:15

I ordered last Friday and it's still showing as unfilled. Toast online chat said it was still in the packaging process yesterday & because it's the sale it can extend delivery times up to 10 (presumably working?) days. But no I can't cancel the order.

AmethystMoonShine · 26/06/2021 08:30

Mine took 8 days and still said unfulfilled.

Also totally Confused at John Lewis!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/06/2021 08:48

I think jlewis are being a bit money grabbing!

AuldFox · 26/06/2021 09:00

I ordered 6 days ago and got a dispatch email yesterday.

AuldFox · 26/06/2021 09:00

Bizarre move by JL as you can price match anyway.

Yorkshirelass04 · 26/06/2021 10:14

What are the chances of the Pihu dress being reduced a bit soon do you think?

Yorkshirelass04 · 26/06/2021 11:55

Doesn't matter I bought it anyway!! Hee hee!

goldpendant · 26/06/2021 12:01

Argh still no parcel!

If anyone has a Maeva dress in an 8/10 they aren't sure about do let me know!!

Countmeout · 26/06/2021 13:06

Pleased to say my refund for the jumper returned Tuesday has been made (used PayPal) .

Blossomtoes · 26/06/2021 13:17

More reductions on JL now. I might have ordered a needlecord dress.

ScottishMouse · 26/06/2021 14:07

I also got a refund this morning for items returned on Tuesday. And miraculously given my experiences a while back, all items I returned were refunded! Phew!

dudsville · 27/06/2021 21:42

I'm very annoyed I didn't see that the cotton sateen wrap skirt in caviar was in the sale. If anyone has a 14 they're returning please let me beg you to let me by it from you.

On a happier note I have the blue ikat dress and the cinnamon skirt and love them both so much. I'm sending back the black and white waves wrap dress, fabric feels harsh. If it was cotton it would have become a favourite I'm sure. And I'm sending back a pair of culottes. I have the benefit of a mirror I can walk toward, and what I saw when I did this was not flattering. Toooooo much fabric that was too stiff, no drape at all.

But again, that skirt, if you hear of one being returned...

AFingerofFudge · 27/06/2021 23:20

@dudsville I'm sorry, I did order that skirt in a 14, but I returned it on Friday Sad
To be fair, it is definitely not like any other cotton sateen item I have ordered. It was a really really heavy material, the skirt weighed a ton which is why I returned it.
Anyway, if you're still after it, hopefully it'll reappear on the website soon!

dudsville · 28/06/2021 11:33

Thanks finger for lowering my expectations! I had thought it was hard to get a sense of the fabric by the picture and description. I'll keep a look out for it just in case it comes up anyway but it sounds like I'm not missing anything if I can't get it.

goldpendant · 28/06/2021 11:45

V neck jumpsuits have arrived and they are gorgeous. The 10 is generous but works for me, definitely more like a 12 I'd say.

Now, how to choose whether to keep the black or the olive?!

AuldFox · 28/06/2021 13:52

I’ve got my bleu de chauffe bag and it’s a keeper. It’s just big enough for my phone, keys, mask and a few cards but I don’t carry much more than that anymore. Well made and recommended!

I did order the wave print dress and the material is a little rough but I loved the print. I’m sending it back as it’s too big and the size 8 is sold out. I might fit the 6 but not worth the hassle of another return.

Blossomtoes · 28/06/2021 13:55

The wave print shirt and the brushstroke dress arrived this morning.

Oh, the dress! I absolutely love it - all the more for getting it in the brief window it was £110 with free delivery from JL. I’m not impressed with the shirt, the fabric feels cheap and it’s going back.

ilovecherries · 28/06/2021 14:59

Three parcels arrived unannounced today, all still showing as unfulfilled. Anyway:
Green linen square cut top (full price). Already have the matching trousers and I bought the top thinking I could style it like a jumpsuit I could still pee in. It’s not an ideal colour near my face but with red lipstick and silver jewellery I think it works. Maybe on the big side though (medium)

Stripe slub cotton tee (sale). Love this, perfect, def a keeper

Garment dyed collar tee (sale). Nice fit in large (so must be quite small made) but overall disappointing. Looks like it accidentally went in the boil wash with a brown towel. Def return

Loop back jersey trousers in grey (full price). OMG. I LOVE these. Have been tempted by them for a year but decided (rightly) that they are an outrageous price for joggers. But they sit perfectly, drape nicely, and could be dressed up for day time if not evening. Feel v guilty about keeping them (but I will). Clearly doing grief-spending and single handedly trying to kickstart economy. Are gorgeous with the striped top above. I have a similar pair from Hush in cream that were half the price but are also only half as nice.

Fine check linen culottes (full price). This is the second time I’ve bought these, I think this time they may be allowed to stay. They are a bit bonkers but I like them.

Garment dyed linen trousers in toffee (full price - shit, I was sure they were reduced). As above, already own the green ones and I’ve worn a lot, but not sure I need another pair of full price linen trousers. Jury is out.

Brush stroke dress (reduced - phew!). Quite frankly it fell out of the bag in a crumpled up ball, doesn’t look as if there was any attempt to fold it, so I can’t tell if I like it or not. Waiting to be steamed before I try it.
