Hello again Toasties !!
Here we are again ..Spring has definitely sprung.. and here we are leaving lockdown again (hopefully for the last time) and with any luck planning some social opportunities to wear our lovely stuff actually out somewhere !!

@applecatchers36 I'm the same here. I ordered as soon as the sale started but nothing here either. Funnily enough the money left my account fast enough.

A quick report back on the cotton linen tapered trousers: they are really really nice! Possibly even nicer than my Alix trousers which I wore to death last year. Not flat fronted like the Alix, but they're just as flattering (not too much fabric at the front as quite a few reviews say) - very neat fitting, but an elasticated waist so not uncomfortable), slightly high waisted but not too much so. Almost 10/10 Toast! Will take pics later if there's time

Ooo I’ve been thinking about these. They look great! How’s the sizing please? And (final question), how’s the length? - I’m long of leg, and I find the outer leg measurement Toast give quite unhelpful.

Finally had my toast order arrive
I love it and am keeping. Took a photo in case that helps anyone. Am uk10 top 5’1 tall bought size S as site advised

@FiddleFigs - the sizing is about the same as gabis if that helps? - mine are a size 6, and I'm 5'4. If you want me to measure the leg I'd be happy to, but tell me which bit

forgot to say! I am picking up the cotton Oxford dress from Waitrose today, in dark red - though I think I may reorder in olive oil from Toast if I like it, as that's more my colour. does anyone have it? Or anything in that olive oil colour? I can't really tell how it is from that one pathetic photo

oh that's a shame! Do you need a six though? Maybe if you take a bigger size they would be longer?

My parcel finally arrived…. Worth the wait thankfully. Charcoal/ ecru Donegal jumper is fabulous and perfect for my old freezing house in winter. Red PJs are lovely also, might have got away with a S but M are probably best for actually sleeping in comfort. Then grey felt slippers are things of heavenly comfort
Now wait to see if they add more lines or reduce further but not much left in my size that I fancy at the moment.

@faustina thank you. I think they are from the Toast styling video but I found it by myself! The trousers are agolde jeans ( remy a slim straight style). I love them too

@faustina possibly.... I might see how lucky I'm feeling. I struggle with trouser sizing at the best of times (big bum!) and find Toast sizing with trousers a bit hit and miss. The online recommended size is 12, which is my standard size in most shops... but who know with Toast!

Both Toast & JL arrived today 😂, again worth the wait, Twill Gabi's, Steve Mono tan sandals and the Green Denim jacket, keeping it all!!

I read somewhere recently that John Lewis take a massive cut of any sales - 33% or something. This was the reason why Seasalt stopped selling through JL concessions. Just a thought.

Yesbutnobut I read that article too last weekend, I had no idea that the additional costs to sell through John Lewis were so high. Looks like many brands are opting out of John Lewis now .

@faustina can I ask what size you bought the tapered trousers in? I fancy the slice colour, and from the looks of your picture I think we are a similar build!

John lewis have put the sale items on Toast back up to full price!

I noticed the JL prices had reverted… thought I was losing my mind! Particularly as they weren’t adjusted as a reduction so it wasn’t always obvious if something was reduced. 🤪

Great buys everyone. My fairisle jumper arrived from John Lewis in the bigger size. Very pleased with the fit. I’m glad I bought it as now it’s sold out. I thought they’d just sold all the sale stuff when I looked at it this morning. Very weird. Just waiting for a Toast refund for the one I returned now.
