Thank you very much @doorornottodoor that will definitely fit me, might sit too low though and then drag on the floor, argh! Decisions, decisions.... in normal times I’d order the size 6 and 8 and almost certainly keep one. Just not possible anymore! Also, in no other shop would I contemplate ordering a size 6, as usual Toast sizing is bonkers....

@AuldFoxWhat’s your waist? I’m a 27inch and it sits nicely and comfortably low on me in the 8. I’m 5 foot 7.

I've had phone call from Toast with a very full and gracious apology for the recent poor customer service. It has done a lot to mollify me. I will keep the faith for the moment!

doorornottodoor · 12/05/2021 17:54

Just returned my items to Toast Edinburgh. They were unapologetic about the fiasco. Just the official line, blaming Shopify. One of the shop assistants was actually downright rude to me. Obviously not impressed with my complaint. Not good. I came out of the shop a bit upset. On a positive note there’s a fab clothes shop around the corner called treen with the most fantastically lovely shop assistants who were really helpful and chatty. ❤️ Worth a look for any Scottish shoppers.

ScottishMouse · 12/05/2021 18:40

That’s terrible @doorornottodoor, I’m sorry to hear they weren’t very polite. There are a couple of lovely staff there, but yes, one or two that aren’t as much so. Good tip on Treen - I have walked past but never gone in. I also love Dick’s next door to Toast for a browse of beautiful but ridiculously expensive clothes.

doorornottodoor · 12/05/2021 19:15

I must go and look at Dick’s. I am so immature, I can’t get past the name Grin

Ah sorry to hear this, @doorornottodoor I’m not going to order from them, i can’t abide this terrible customer service.

Same waist size as you @doorornottodoor but I’m only 5’3 so I would need it to sit high rather than low

doorornottodoor · 12/05/2021 23:28

@AuldFox yes the 6 might be better. I’ve this real hatred of too tight waistband so always prefer it slightly looser...

AuldFox · 12/05/2021 23:32

Yours looks perfect on you @doorornottodoor

Dreams of being a 6 or an 8 or a 10...
Id love to be petite, but sadly I am a gullumphing Valkyrie...😢

Laska, I’m certainly not a size 6, this skirt seems generous in the waist, more akin to a size 10 in other stores. I’d love to be a tall Valkyrie instead of a garden gnome Grin

Laska2Meryls · 14/05/2021 18:55

We never like who we are AuldFox!.. Grin

Hello all. Has anyone ever bought from Sideline-clothing.com? They seem to have some nice Toast-type things and I was just wondering about sizing and quality? Worth a look for habitual Toast website surfers. Thanks.

ScottishMouse · 14/05/2021 20:22

@MrsCat1, I’ve never bought anything, but have seen and tried on some of their stuff in the flesh in a local boutique. Very nice. Quality seems excellent. Sizing less wacky than Toast, and a bit more “standard” I would say.

MrsCat1 · 14/05/2021 21:30

Thanks @ScottishMouse. They do seem to have a lot of nice things, although a lot is sold out.

Templetreebreeze · 15/05/2021 11:08

Has anyone looked at the auction.
Not feeling it tbh.

I popped into JL but nothing new.
Im no fan of Hush at all but spotted the Joan dress which is absolutely beautiful, lined and was £95.
Its a bit square on top so might pop some darts in.

KirstenBlest · 16/05/2021 20:53

Hello.
How do I style Toast Ava Monkey Boots please? They are the burgundy ones.
I normally wear black DM style boots or shoes with thick black tights, but have clothes like jeans, cord pinafores and mini skirts and dungarees.

Apologies for planning ahead to the autumn.
