The top half is just basically a 'gypsy' style top. i can't wear them as too generous of nork, but i always think they look ok over jeans in the summer.

I'm put in mind of the video for Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode, which is set in a Wild West brothel. It doesn't help that the model is standing in a really odd way - as a pp said, it's almost like she's having to tense her shoulders and hips to stop the dress from falling off. Wearing it to the pub would be courting disaster!

I think it would be uncomfortable in hot weather, but you could get it to wear next winter? With opaque tights/leggings and boots and a leather jacket it would probably look good.

it's one of those dresses that looks great in the ad pics, but once you unpack it you realise you'll never wear it in a beer garden under the heaters because you'll go up in flames.

Anyone over a size 4-6 is going to looks like a giant beach ball in that. Forget your age, unless you're absolutely tiny forget it...

Also agree with PPs that it looks like it's made of a cheap material that would make you sweat and smell

Can you not look into your crystal ball or your tarot cards and find out if you should buy it it is very fortune teller (but I do like it a little bit too)

I think the under 25s all wear little crop tops with high waisted skin tight leggings now

What I don’t get is some of the answers here; the question wasn’t what do you think about the dress but if it’s ok for a 37 year old but yet so many people felt the need to make some nasty comments and denigrate someone’s taste when nobody even asked them! So many meanies on mumsnet!
