So I've done the boob and bust and it's saying I'm 32 GG

Surely my cups can't be that big?

That sounds about right looking at your first pic you posted.

I agree with PPs, there isn't anything wrong with your figure, but the clothing is very unflattering. The cardigan hides your shape and makes you look larger than you are. Additionally the length of it and the bright tights makes you look like you have shorter legs. Dresses fitted to just below the bust, a fitted bra and darker tights would do you a world of wonders.

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 16:23

Just measured my waist and it's bloody 40 !!!

Yodeldodeldo · 07/03/2021 16:24

Tesco do some reasonable high waist skinny jeans which hold the pot belly in. I'm not judging, I have one too. I'm also a fan of batwing type slouchy tops.

I agree you need a bra intervention.

I used to wear similar style dresses to you, and frankly they did me no favours and I don't think they're working for you either. I thought that by showing off the boobs with a lower neckline it would distract from the belly, but I realise now I just looked pregnant.

Like you, I'm also quite untidy. But I've found that when I get my appearance more in order I'm inspired to tackle the house so that I feel I have all my shit together. It also works the other way, when I redecorate the house or buy a new sofa I feel I should dress the part.

@pinkandblueflowers

Just measured my waist and it's bloody 40 !!!
That’s quit high risk for developing health problems so it’s worth trying to get that measurement down.
PurpleDaisies · 07/03/2021 16:28

Sorry, pressed post as I was trying to edit. Having a waist measurement about 31.5in for women increases your risk of developing health problems. This article explains it clearly.

Oh dear OP, the fat police are on your trail.

Hmm It’s genuine concern. Read what the nhs says about having a waist bigger than 34in if you’re a woman. It’s a health risk.

You're at very high risk of some serious health conditions and should see a GP if your waist is:

102cm (40in) or more for men
88cm (34.5in) or more for women
This is because your risk of getting some health problems is affected by where you store your body fat, as well as by your weight.
From the link I posted...
Carrying too much fat around your middle (waist) can make it more likely for you to get conditions such as:

heart disease
type 2 diabetes
cancer
stroke

PurpleDaisies · 07/03/2021 16:35

Sorry, the formatting got messed up. I hope it’s still clear.

goldielockdown2 · 07/03/2021 16:36

You sound like you're into humiliation, OP. From the thread title to the things you keep posting in spite of only getting nice, constructive comments. If I'm right, there are websites for that.

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 16:37

I'm deffo gonna cut out the junk and I'm gonna make a diary note to measure myself in exactly one month so 7 April and see what I am then

I phoned my mum and told my mum and she couldn't believe her ears!! I also share a waist size with my hubby so I'm now very determined to stick to it and see where I am
This time next month

I'm so embarrassed

You need to hoink those bad boys up with a decent fitted bra

This thread is making me giggle! Op - you have a perfectly nice figure - your legs are your best feature and I agree ditch the cardi (long, floaty clothes will, swamp you) and wacky tights. Decent fitting bra, shoulders back - be proud of your boobage!

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 16:56

@Loopyloututu2 did u see the bit where I said my waist is 40 inches 🙈

OP posts:
stevalnamechanger · 07/03/2021 17:00

It's not your figure . The clothes are too big and oversized for you :)

New bra , great pants and some yoga and Pilates for posture !

Loopyloututu2 · 07/03/2021 17:04

I agree with the poster who said you should get your tummy checked to be sure Op - it could be some kind of problem with the tummy muscles (I think it’s called Diastasis Recti) where they separate and don’t go back after pregnancy.

Also Op - have you heard of the phrase “abs are made in the kitchen?” - you said you’re doing lots of tummy crunches but that could do more harm than good and it’s really your diet you need to look at to lose weight, especially on the tummy. Ditching sugar is the best way to go (I know it’s hard though!)

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 17:27

@stevalnamechanger it iS my figure as my waist is 40 inches which is awful

OP posts:
pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 17:28

@Loopyloututu2 perhaps Altho I have been eating so much junk. A 5 pack of mini batten bergs every day for 2 weeks, sometimes 2 cans of red bull a day, on Friday morning I ate a whole pack of biscuits. So I'm guessing it's my own fault lol

OP posts:
doadeer · 07/03/2021 17:34

Sit ups only target one part of your core abdominal. You need to fix diet then join a pilates class and you will do a variety of core exercises to target the different areas

Laila747 · 07/03/2021 17:38

You have a lovely figure! You just need to dress it right! Make the most of those boobs, waist and legs!

randomer · 07/03/2021 17:44

@pinkandblueflowers, let me guess......tired, a bit low, fed up, lockdown weary....reach for the sugar. You and thousands of others.

Notanotherhun · 07/03/2021 18:11

40 inches suggests it IS her figure as OP has said as much. Onwards and upwards; little healthy choices everyday and physical activity, even if it's just a walk. A new bra will definitely work wonders. Smile

justilou1 · 07/03/2021 22:00

I think also, we are getting photos from different times as well. Given that OP is very petite in height, her BMI is 30.1, classifying her as Obese class 1. As OP carries most of her excess weight around her belly and torso, this is especially dangerous, as it increases her cardiovascular health risks. I think OP should definitely think more about healthy lifestyle choices for the time being rather than clothing, but as I know how much it helps to feel better about yourself to keep you on track, a fabulous, supportive, sports bra and some really great, wide-banded leggings might make her feel better about getting into shape.

RampantIvy · 07/03/2021 22:36

I think you have had loads of good advice on here already, but I would suggest you talk to your GP about your stomach. It could be diastasis recti or even an ovarian cyst.

If it is just a case of eating too many pies then good luck with your healthy eating plan.

MiddlesexGirl · 07/03/2021 23:03

Disagree with PP at nipping in any dresses etc at under bust level as this will accentuate your tummy. I think you need something loosish over this area.

Unfortunately sit ups etc are a waste of time. The only way to get rid of excess fat is by calorie deficit - input lower than output. And 80% or more of this is through diet. Exercise is good for overall health and fitness but diet is much more important for losing weight. The Red Bull will be bloating you too.
