Shampoo and conditioner gone today. Just a cheap one from supermarket. £1 a bottle.

It was nice - apple flavour. I love an apple flavour shampoo!

supadupapupascupa · 23/05/2021 10:03

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName

Ohhhhh........ there is a pump! I have been using the stick/tube bit this whole time.

Not my finest moment.

See! I didn't know either! Bad design.....
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/05/2021 13:25

Finished a Paul Mitchell Shampoo (Awahpuhi) and The Conditioner

I have been ogling skin care ranges thinking Oh I could treat myself but I have a couple of Aldi creams to use first .
And remind myself that they only work if you take them out of the bottle and actually apply to your face

My neck is looking a bit sad , . There is no Holy Grail .

VanGoghsDog · 23/05/2021 18:17

Yep, same here. Also applies to books, clothes, make up, cookery books especially! Cleaning things......all sorts really.

I have no empties. Two very nearly and a face mask that turns out to be two, I have now used one of. So slow going.

Ponks · 23/05/2021 23:37

Today's empties:

Alpha H Liquid Gold intensive night repair serum - a glycolic and peptide serum. My goodness this lasted a long time, I've had it ages. Used maximum once a week as quite strong and occasionally I react to it. Wouldn't say I wake up with glowing skin though, I prefer the liquid gold rose toner.

  • Tropic rainforest dew serum mini- I guess this is a hyaluronic acid serum , but felt a bit pointless. Pretty bottle though. Until I dropped it and chipped the bathroom basin 😞.
Justilou1 · 24/05/2021 02:26

Empty- My winter fragrance. (Wishful thinking on my part, it’s barely cooled down here.) Trussardi, The Black Rose. It’s quite a “masculine” take on a rose fragrance. I wouldn’t describe it as rosey, tbh... (I don’t usually like rose scents.) It’s a gentle, non-intrusive, spicy scent that minds it’s own business. It’s been discontinued of course, but I have two backups.

ememem84 · 24/05/2021 07:47

Started a “the ordinary”hyluronic acid yesterday and also a bybi cbd oil. My skin feels nice and smooth.

MackemLass79 · 24/05/2021 10:50

Hi ladies I found u all at last. Fell off the last thread and stopped getting notifications so just assumed nobody posted on thread anymore but here u all are on a new one. I'm terrible at min for purchasing more rather than using up I've bought new deodorants which to be fair get used but I buy way before needed so got a stock of them and can only use the cream roll on ones and also recently purchased 2 new body shop camomile cleansing balms and still haven't yet finished the open one in bathroom. I need help!!!! 🙈🙈🙈

VanGoghsDog · 24/05/2021 14:11

I've finished a mouth wash! I don't usually bother with this sort of thing, no idea why I bought it, and it then doesn't get used quickly. But that's a nice space on my bathroom sink!

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 24/05/2021 19:28

Hello to @JourneyToHappiness and @MackemLass79.

Can I ask MackemLass are you from the northeast? I haven’t heard that name since I was in Uni at Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Empties for me :

Mitchum spray deodorant - the roll on is holy grail for me.

Embroylisse moisturizer - also holy grail for me in the summer. It’s very liquidy (aqueous?) and goes on a treat, although I do like something slightly heavier in the colder months.

Fispi · 24/05/2021 21:11

Empty - La Roche Posay Lipikar hand cream. Very under whelming.

MackemLass79 · 25/05/2021 06:53

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName haha how did u guess? Yes I'm from good old Sunderland tho u won't have heard favourable things about us if u went to uni on other side of the Tyne 😂😂😂🤣🤣 but we are nice people. Honest!!!! Ladies I know this isn't the point of this thread but hit me please with your favourite perfume must haves

clary · 25/05/2021 07:16

One more for me - ethique shampoo bar - it was ok but didn't lather well really. From a GWP before Christmas. I like the idea of shampoo bars but can't seem to get on with them, anyone got a good one?

Justilou1 · 25/05/2021 07:20

I like the idea of shampoo bars too, but I haven’t had any luck either. Also, they go gross in the shower and I don’t have anywhere else to keep them.

supadupapupascupa · 25/05/2021 07:55

Cheating slightly as I am not going to finish it. It's killing me because every ounce of my bring is telling me that of course I will finish it!

Dr. Sebagh Serum Repair.

Texture very gloopy like aloe Vera. It dries on fast creating a taught film that means when you smile all your wrinkles are three times worse and your face feels like it wants to crack. Put moisturiser on too and the problem disappears as if by magic!

Not finishing because I have more serum in my stash, and this is not better than the EL I love and usually use. I also have Votary Super Seed on the go which I ADORE!!

clary · 25/05/2021 08:14

yes, this one fell to bits and I ended up putting the bits in an old popsock (!) and using that to lather them up - which actually worked pretty well, better than having fragments everywhere.

I did have a tin to keep one in for swimming but it has disappeared.

HeySeamus · 25/05/2021 09:30

That reminds me, I have a lush shampoo bar somewhere in a tin. I'll have to dig that out and get that finished up - probably on my daughters hair.

Caggie09 · 25/05/2021 09:50

Mitchum roll on. HG. Always have a few in the stash.

Eve Lom Balm. Pee-ew this stuff stinks!! Ive used it multiple times, as its always one that appears in GWP. This time around the smell was abit unbearable! Past the smell, its a pretty good makeup remover. No stingy, foggy eyes. I wouldnt buy it myself, but i dont doubt it will turn up again into my stash through GWP.

CT Magic Cream. Liked it more than i thought i would of. Its lovely and thick without being greasy. Absorbed nicely. Magic? No, cheaper alternatives. Think you just pay for the name in this case.

Fresh Rose mask. Not my favourite hydrating mask. But, it was nice enough to use. Have 2 pots in my stash.

I have bought some sisal soap bags from Amazon; they are really great to use in the shower as stop the soap disintegrating.
laselvar · 25/05/2021 11:47

I've been using a Garnier ultimate blends shampoo bar and really rate it.
I've used shampoo bars before and never got on with, I live in a hard water area and they've always left a waxy residue behind.
I got the Garnier one as a freebie to review from Ocado so thought I'd give it a go. I've been using it for just over 2 months now and am happy with it.

PomRuns · 25/05/2021 13:47

@CherryMargo Glad to see you had a break and felt recharged. I really agree, this thread is so helpful.

@MackemLass79 I love Dear Polly - quite expensive though. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino - reminds me of holidays. Miss Dior. So many really.

@supadupapupascupa I really can't get on with votary, not sure it does anything, interesting that you like it. I've also got that Dr Sebagh on the go, quite like it, although again not sure it does anything.

I also like the idea of shampoo bars but worried they would be drying?

Hello @JourneyToHappiness I'm also a big fan of GWP - this thread has really encouraged me to use my lovely things.

PomRuns · 25/05/2021 13:50

Plus a few empties:

I threw away the alpha gold - it was like nail polish remover- maybe I’d had it too long. Think was in a gift box.
Love the l’occitane moisturiser.

Incoming - 2 Milton Brown shower gels. Plus l’occitane sent me a gift - no idea why! It’s in rose scent so I’ll give it to friend.

JourneyToHappiness · 25/05/2021 16:35

Some empties from me.
Ameliorate transforming body lotion 30ml, this was brilliant on my bumpy upper arms, not keen on the scent but I think they do a rose version so will get that.
Dr Dennis Gross stress rescue super serum, didn't notice any difference in my skin using this, horrid scent, like water, glad its gone!
Little 5ml It cosmetics daily retinol serum-in-cream. Not enough to notice a difference but the smell was nice and it felt nice on my skin.
Tiny verso facial fluid sample. Lovely but not sure id purchase full size.

supadupapupascupa · 25/05/2021 16:53

@PomRuns oh I really love the super seed serum and the facial oil! When I'm hormonal and the skin starts going lumpy and "off" I use it overnight. It really calms my skin and feels deeply moisturised and soothed by morning. I have the blemish oil too which smells reassuringly medicinal but not sure it works yet.

PomRuns · 25/05/2021 19:55

@supadupapupascupa actually my skin dies feel moisturised well and I’m using the serum and oil in the evening. But I’m using clarins serum in the morning and occasionally the dr sebagh. I’m going to have to limit my regime so I know what’s working.
