Carrying on the great tradition of this thread - where those that are addicted to beauty products come together and support one another!
@Clary. Make me feel better... how many moisturisers have you got stashed?! 😂

I’ve had the Sukin. Really liked it. My son still uses the Sukin range for his problem skin after borrowing mine.
hahaha will go and count. Do I include night creams as well (separate IMHO)?

VanGoghsDog · 21/05/2021 12:12

I have thrown away a tube of tret that was two and a half years out of date. I expect it loses its efficacy after that long. However, I only felt safe throwing it away because I ordered two new ones which came this week. No point ordering one, with the postage costs.

So I'm net plus one!

clary · 21/05/2021 12:39

OK five night creams and 10 day creams Shock that includes a biggish pot each of elemis which I looooovee

It does include the CB GWP tho so some are smallish and also were free :)

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 21/05/2021 14:35

@Clary... thank you for sharing 😂

I’m like that with bronzers. Because I look perpetually bloodless (think Brad Pitt in Interview with A Vampire) I’m always hoping the “next” product can bring me back to life!

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 21/05/2021 15:11

@HeraInTheHereAndNow try the new bronzer in ‘cirrhosis of the liver’, I hear it’s all the rage.

Caggie09 · 21/05/2021 16:05

A Dirty Works sheet mask gone. Tend to use them when im off work and have a free morning. Was abit faffy with loads of different slits in itShock

BS Rose Body Yogurt. I know lots prefer these over the butters, but i prefer body butter. Perfect for when your in a rush and pulling skinny jeans on, you dont get stuck and feel sticky. It doesnt live up to the level of softness i like to have Grin I dont think its an offensive rose scebt either, pretty light. I have a Mango one in stash too.

BookShark · 21/05/2021 16:52

I'm not sure if I want to admit this, but clary has nothing on my moisturiser stash. I've got 33 day moisturisers (2 full size, 33 samples - none of which I bought, they're all from GWPs or advent calendars). Blush

On the plus side, I am gradually making progress. But I'm really bad for holding off on buying stuff I need (like night creams or body scrubs - you never get many samples of those) until there's a GWP and then my stash just gets replenished. It's that annoying thing that even if I don't need it, I feel I should get it because it's free.

At least I haven't actually paid for them, and the fact they're mostly samples means they don't take up much space

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 21/05/2021 18:04

@Bookshark. I have one in use and three unopened. Also one half used because it’s not that good for my mature skin and I keep it in my bag now, just to use it up on my turkey neck 😂

JourneyToHappiness · 21/05/2021 19:28

I've lurked on these threads for a while but now feel I need to join in. I've always been a bit of a hoarder and struggle to use things up, I suffer with depression and sometimes self care goes out the window. Last Christmas was my first time getting beauty advent Calendars and my first GWP ( must have been living under a rock 😆) and this year I've got 3 gwp, think I'm addicted! Trying these lovely new products is helping make an effort with my skin care and its now my me time and something I look forward to.
Anyway I have 3 empties, a soap and glory pore refining sheet mask which was very cold on my face and tingled, don't think I'd use again.
Chantecaille bio lifting serum 4ml. Didn't do anything for me and was sticky, smelt nice though.
Elemis pro-collagen oxygenating night cream 30ml. Loved this and have repurchased already, got 2 full size pots for £85 from brand alley.

Ponks · 21/05/2021 22:53

Love "cirrhosis of the liver" bronzer.. I've only started using bronzer over the last year and wonder if it just makes me look a bit... mucky? Hmm.

Empty: Superfacialist vitamin c oil cleanser. Love this and have used several. So cheap, lasts ages, smells lovely and gets makeup off really well. Will repurchase but have a couple of other travel size cleansing oils to use. I thought I was a bit bored with the Superfacialist oil, so got a Pai travel size to try. While nice, and a little thicker and more luxurious feeling, it doesn't wow me sufficiently to pay three times more than the Superfacialist version.

Throwing out: Beauty Kitchen face oil, from Holland & Barrett advent calendar a couple of years ago. Only used a couple of times and now smells a bit odd so I'm glad of the excuse to chuck it.

Justilou1 · 22/05/2021 01:18

Have you thought about trying a Nars Multiple stick instead of a powder bronzer @Ponks? I tend to look muddy too. These things are idiot-proof and let all day. I have South Beach, which I was dubious about when I received a mini in a GWP. It is an HG now and I use it every day. I have Uber-fair skin in winter and go golden tan without trying in summer, so it would suit most complexions. You just whizz it over your cheekbones and then blend with fingers or a brush. I find I don’t need a blush half the time if I don’t want it. Can be used on eyes and lips as well (although I don’t love on lips). Doesn’t pull up foundation or concealer. Ignore Aussie prices - they’re nuts.

Ponks · 22/05/2021 08:34

Thank you @Justilou1 , I would never have thought of trying a cream bronzer ( or blusher) . My goodness they have so many colours!

laselvar · 22/05/2021 08:38

This weeks empties.
Sol de Janerio bum bum cream - I've been using this as a hand cream as my DH (who has super sensitive skin) came out in a rash when I started using it, and was convinced this was the culprit. I kept it at work and used it as a morning hand cream (so the scent would wear off). Nice and thick cream, but I didn't love the smell.
No7 day moisturiser - I never buy No7 but occasionally get a gift set, which is how I got this. It was decent, wouldn't buy it but would use any in my stash.
Clinique mascara - I don't think I've bought a mascara in over 20 years, just accumulate them in GWPs. I only use a little each day so they last me ages, this was good.
Also threw away an unfinished Clinique city block that was older than my youngest (who is 10!), I don't normally worry about use by dates, but figured this was gone.
I'm loving reading about what everyone else is getting through, and your hoards make me feel a little less guilty about my own.

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 22/05/2021 10:12

@justilou1... I have found a barely used Estée Lauder Lips and Cheeks Cream Blusher in my “bottom drawer” where stuff goes if I can’t get the hang of it. Tried yesterday, it just make me look a bit greasy and smudgy and I then remembered why it was banished. Nice on lips though so, will use up now, in that way.

The Nars Multiple... does it “set” once applied or do you need to be very very mindful of touching it/not putting anything over it (like my EL Blush)? At my age, I may do better with a cream bronzer but that’s how I came to have a too expensive EL Blush in my stash...🙄

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 22/05/2021 10:16

And two empties...

Vit E Oil from Holland & Barrett. Went through a phase of this when my skin was horribly dry.

Collection Volume Surge Mascara @ £4.99. A-mazing product for the light of lash and cheap enough to bin every six weeks (as advised, many years ago) to discourage conjunctivitis, which I was getting regularly. Have another to start though.

Justilou1 · 22/05/2021 12:08

@HeraInTheHereAndNow - it's a creme to powder (maybe slightly gel hybrid) and I find it pretty budge-proof. I live in a sub-tropical climate akin to Florida. (Very humid for at least half of the year - I bloody loathe it, tbh! If it can stick to my menopausal face, it's not going anywhere. I also use industrial-strength sunscreens, if that tells you what we're working with....). I would recommend waiting until you can play with the formula in-store, though. These things aren't cheap (Nars, you know, Daaahlink......) and you don't want to throw more money down the drain. I will say that the infamous (and annoyingly-named) Orgasm blush in the Multiple stick is fabulous, and I hate it as a powder blush, so if you have experience with Nars products, that may or may not affect your decision. (I'm not a Nars Afficionado despite having recently purchased a palette and raved about it on here as well. It's great, but I was definitely sold by the colour choice and the packaging.)

Justilou1 · 22/05/2021 12:09

Oh, and I'm nearly 49 if that helps....

HeraInTheHereAndNow · 22/05/2021 13:52

@justilou1thank you. Yes, I too have been drawn in by pretty colours and packaging only to later donate to my lovely niece who knows how to wear makeup in a modern way. I’m 59.

When money wasn’t (really) an object, I tried Chanel Tan Universal which was just too Orange for me.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 22/05/2021 14:47

Oh, I have the NARS blush in liquid form. It’s fab!

It’s very liquidy, I wipe the applicator over the tip of my finger and then apply with my fingers. It does not budge. Sometimes I put a bit of powder blush over the top to vamp up the colour. The powder wears off during the day but the liquid one is still there.

Justilou1 · 22/05/2021 16:47

I had the liquid one @SlatternIsMyMiddleName, but I'm such a klutz I thought I was going to spill it. It's lovely, though. I find the stick one lasts longer, if I'm honest. (And it's MUCH easier to use.....)

supadupapupascupa · 22/05/2021 17:11

My nars liquid blush spilt in my makeup bag. I didn't realise you pull the lid off to reveal a pump. So I twisted it off and obviously didn't put it back on properly grrrrr
It is lovely though....

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 22/05/2021 17:30

A pump you say? Off to investigate ...........

supadupapupascupa · 22/05/2021 18:52

Grin definitely a pump!

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 23/05/2021 00:45

Ohhhhh........ there is a pump! I have been using the stick/tube bit this whole time.

Not my finest moment.

ememem84 · 23/05/2021 07:22

L’occitaine Immortelle oil in serum sample/mini finished. This was a gwp I liked it. Might repurchase once I’ve used everything else up….

Also got rid of a razor blade - one with moisture bars on it. Hate these. Bought them by mistake. Using up. I’m counting these as they live in the stash with my products!
