Just checked out the liberty GWP - more Margaret Dabbs and queen of Hungary facial mist 🙄 there are some good items too but will give it a miss this time.

AprilLady · 27/04/2021 21:12

@PomLikeTheBattle I agree. I think this time round the CB GWP definitely looks better, with a lower minimum spend too.

To add to your list, a couple of my pet hates in it too - Aurelia Miracle cleanser (I don’t hate it, but don’t rate it either and already have plenty) and then a BS cream to up the quoted “value”. Also, no perfume or candle minis to try. I’ll also be giving it a miss this time.

PomLikeTheBattle · 27/04/2021 21:19

Yes I have 3 of those Aurelia cleansers. Also don't like the Suratt make up.
I'm tempted by the CB but will resist.

clary · 27/04/2021 21:27

Have succumbed to the CB GWP you people are terrible enablers!

On the positive side, it does mean I can try a load of things I have been lusting after. Oh and there are things on my list not stocked at CB so I can still buy those elsewhere... that's OK right?

Agree re Liberty GWP - got excited by Aurelia as I love it but I do not rate the cleanser, it smells icky. All their other stuff smells so great too!

VanGoghsDog · 27/04/2021 21:56

The gwp always seem to have a lot of primers. I barely use these.

We need to set up a swap shop!

ememem84 · 27/04/2021 22:07

SuperDrug foot peel socks gone. I left them on for a bit longer than I means to. Hopjng my feet don’t fall off.

VanGoghsDog · 28/04/2021 08:20

I always leave them on ages, about two hours, though I use cheap ones from Amazon. I think I've got some somewhere I should use. I have the chiropodist coming Monday so probably best not to do it soon.

ememem84 · 28/04/2021 13:04

Feet update. They’re still on!

I’ve used the footner ones previously and they were grossly satisfying when they started to peel. I hope it’s the same this time. 😂

Justilou1 · 28/04/2021 14:20

I have used the foot peel socks (left them on for a couple of hours also...) and was quite convinced that I had wasted my money. Nothing happened for at least a week, then I woke up and thought “What’s in bed with me?” It WAS me!!! EEEEW!!!!!

ememem84 · 28/04/2021 14:48

Haha the last time I used them dh made me sleep in my slippers. And it grossed him out that my feet were peeling off!

VanGoghsDog · 28/04/2021 14:59

Black opaque tights are the worst things to wear a week after you've used a foot peel. Damhik.

Justilou1 · 28/04/2021 15:34

Ooooh foot dandruff... noice!

ememem84 · 28/04/2021 18:39

Body shop Shea butter hand cream 100ml done. Liked this. But got bored of it.

Caggie09 · 28/04/2021 20:28

I didnt go for the GWP. I think im going on a no buy.. The only products i intend to buy next is SPF and Micellar water.
I was missing a wander around the French supermarkets browsing the selection of products, so ordered shower products! The Le Petit Marseillais products always took my fancy..

Empties are:

Ayumi Sandlewood & pink clay mask. Working through sachets masks. Was okay. Didnt leave me dry, but also didnt feel like it was a deep clean.

BS Warm Vanilla shower mini. Comes around every Christmas. Would RP.

Miss Dior Perfume. One of my favourites, a classic girly scent. Already RP.

Loreal Camelina smooth ritual hair mask. Its discontinued now, thats how long ive had it.. Nothing special..

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/04/2021 09:18

Finished a L'oriel skin protector serum. Not sure if this actually did anything tbh. I've a couple of serum options to go for next, might try the Vit B3 one from the Ordinary next.

I've thrown away some dregs in bottles from the bathroom window sill which was very satisfying.

Finished Faith in Nature Rosemary shampoo, which I have repurchased as its my HG.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/04/2021 09:21

I've also organised my draws, I have a draw with hair, skin, and face in now. Separated with draw dividers. It's meant I've managed to free up a whole draw for my PJ's instead of cramming them in my bedside draws which is great.

ememem84 · 29/04/2021 09:55

I need to do a drawer organise again. Mines a mess.

ememem84 · 29/04/2021 10:52

Hand sanitiser. Finished. This was a super sticky one work provided for my desk. Ick.

clary · 29/04/2021 16:57

My CB parcel arrived today - going to have a good look later 😁😁😁

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 29/04/2021 19:51

Empties

Elnett Satin hairspray - I have had this forever as I am not a big hairspray user. The only reason it’s finally finished is because I have been straightening my hair much more frequently than usual as no hairdresser appointments. Once straightened I gave it a blast of spray.

Smashbox photo finish primer water - easy to use. Might RP, but not top of my list of priorities.

La Roche Posay Effaclar H - I love most La Roche Posay products. Not an immediate RP as have a few things to get through but would get again.

Clarins pure melt cleansing gel - it was only a sample but I loved how easy it was to use. Have some cleansing stuff to get through but would consider this a RP.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 30/04/2021 14:02

Woo hoo! Cult Beauty stuff has arrived. I can’t believe how much stuff there was in the free gift.

Between that and all the stuff I found in the caravan my stash is bigger than ever.

Caggie09 · 30/04/2021 16:48

SpaceNK GWP looks a fab, but im missing out this time. Very jealous of all the goodies you have. I love unpacking the bag up and having a good ratch through!

Fresh kombucha Essence. Even though you cant tell a huge difference. My skin was more hydrated when i was using this and just lookes plump. Its not a step you need, but i would consider RP. Im using Cosrx Snail mucin essence atm, so if no luck with that will get this one.

REN evercalm cream. Wow, a hit from REN for me. Thick without leaving me looking greasy, not heavy on the skin and not broke me out. My HG is Sunday Riley ice. But, i may get a big pot of this at some point as i really do like this too.

BookShark · 30/04/2021 23:57

Agree, I got the Cult Beauty GWP as it has sent brands I haven't tried before, but I would have been just as happy with the Space NK one.

A very small finish for me - Murad retinol serum sample. Too small to really judge what impact it had, but I didn't mind the texture so would consider a repurchase to try it properly.

PomLikeTheBattle · 01/05/2021 08:47

Omorovicza night cream - really liked this but it costs £130. This was in a liberty beauty bag which cost £90 and had several other products in. Not sure how they can justify £130!

Argan oil conditioner - random supermarket purchase, really like it, not too heavy, hair felt soft and bouncy.

Mario Bafescu cleansing gel - from a GWP. Loved it, felt very zesty in the mornings. Will repurchase.

Plus one of my staple mini l’occitane hand creams.

Very tempted by cult beauty GWP.

Ponks · 01/05/2021 11:29

@Caggie09 interesting about the Fresh kombucha essence, I have a trial size bottle of that and was a bit unsure whether to bother with it but I'll give it a go now. Do you use it as a first step after cleansing?

@PomLikeTheBattle I've just got the Cult GWP and it is brilliant! So much in it and the couple of things I've tried so far (eg Goldfadden eye cream which is never heard of) are lovely.

Lots of empties:

  • No7 Protect and Perfect day cream. Love this and always come back to it though I flirt with others. Have another waiting to be started.
  • No7 Radiant Results cleansing balm. Again, love it and a backup is waiting to go. Cheaper and better than Clinique or BodyShop cleansing balms, doesn't make my eyes water unlike Emma Hardie or Elemis.
  • Superdrug Simply Oure hydrating serum. Great value serum/ light moisturiser.
  • Lumene Nordic Hydra overnight cream, from advent calendar. Surprisingly nice , rich and moisturising, used it after retinol.
  • No7 illuminating hydrogel eye masks. Actually work well and plump out the eye area well, good at improving appearance of lines u see the eyes( only temporarily of course). Have another box.
  • Seche Vite, great stuff for drying nails.
  • Dr Organic micellar water from advent calendar. Meh, not a particular fan of these except for occasional use.
  • Bumble & Bumble glow bond building styler, from a beauty box, ok but wouldn't RP as no noticeable benefits.
  • and a nice grapefruit shower gel from a Christmas present! Love citrus or sweet shower gels.
