Good morning. Hope everyone has lovely weather☀️

Only two mini's from me..

Im finding it hit and miss with REN products.

The Dark Spot night cream. It was okay, the smell was really off putting, almost a sick smell to it🤮 My skin felt hydrated and a little glow in the morning, but may have been my oil.. Cant say if it works for dark spots. This is a flop product from REN for me.

Jelly Oil Cleanser. Ive got a full size of thos too. And im not loving atm. Hopefully it will grow on me. Again, the scents not for me. Once ive washed my face it doesnt feel as soft and bouncy as the CeraVe made me. Will get through the FS, but once done wouldnt RP.

@Caggie09 I have almost finished that REN night cream too! Where was it from? I don't mind the smell but not really loving it.

Anyone else have soooo many things on the very verge of being empty? I can't wait to post my hoard in a few days

PomLikeTheBattle · 25/04/2021 13:17

3 small empties:

L’occitane almond oil shower plus the body oil. There’s nice but I didn’t like enough to repurchase.

Noble isle Rose Tea bloody lotion (GWP) nice but a bit too old lady I think.

Anyone else having problems with photos ?

AprilLady · 25/04/2021 14:10

Bumper week for empties, including four full sizes!

Drunk Elephant Vit C is good, but very sticky so needs a hydrating serum straight afterwards.
I like the Prai cream but don’t love it.

First Aid beauty face cleanse was fine, as was the Organic pharmacy hand cream. Both do the job, but not very exciting.

I’ve really got into using cleansing oils, and enjoyed using the Votary Rose geranium one. Glad I have another one in my stash.

PCA HA serum is really nice, lovely texture and sinks in beautifully. It was from a GWP, and given the plain packaging I assumed wouldn’t be too expensive to repurchase, but I was wrong Sad

Malin + Goetz body cream has a grapefruit-like scent, not for me.

Oi Davines hair conditioner is really good, and even the 75ml travel size lasted ages as I found I only needed to use a tiny amount at a time.

Fispi · 25/04/2021 14:59

Empties:
Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum - I love this as it's so light but really hydrating. I will repurchase at some point.

Indeed Labs Watermelon Melting Cleansing Balm - this was awful! It didnt take my mascara off and had lots of hard little lumps in.

I am finally down to one of each product in my routine apart from moisturiser! If only I could have the same success with my make up...

AprilLady · 25/04/2021 15:07

@Fispi, well done, one of each product is impressive.

@justilou1, love the look of that Nars palette. I have another one (Cool Crush) that I use a lot because I find the Nars eyeshadows a pleasure to use.

Thanks to the recommendations upthread, I also now have a Cerave foaming cleanser to try.

PomLikeTheBattle · 25/04/2021 16:21

@Fispi in awe !! I hope to reach this stage one day.

CommanderBurnham · 25/04/2021 18:14

Wow @Fispi!

So what you gonna buy next???

Fispi · 25/04/2021 18:44

@CommanderBurnham haha! I'm trying to hold off. It will probably be a balm or oil cleanse next though. I'll keep watching this thread for recommendations.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 25/04/2021 20:26

I have so much stuff to get through, some of it is years old. I am trying to stick to a product until it is used up, mostly so I can see if it actually works but also because I don’t want too many brands on my skin in one week (if that makes sense).

I thought I had my stash somewhat quantified, but brought the caravan back home today and found loads more bottles/ samples in it. I shall persevere.

ememem84 · 26/04/2021 10:27

glamgldw superwatergel moisturiser (sample size from my feelunique gwp) finished this morning. i liked it. smelled nice and has made my skin feel nice and soft.

maybe wouldn't re buy, but its one i'll keep on the back burner.

also currently using up some teeth whitening strips.

wfh today so can use these whilst im here.

BookShark · 26/04/2021 10:33

Ooh, one of each product makes me slightly nervous! I'm thinking one in use, and one in waiting is probably my aim (plus a travel size of each one which is stored in a washbag). Although I realise that still means I'll have loads of stuff so might need to change that approach slightly.

A few more empties here:
Caudalie Vinopure Toner (full size) - nice enough, but I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase - as long as a toner is fairly astringent, I'm not sure there's much to choose between different brands.
Caudalie Foaming Cleanser (full size) - foams up nicely, but as per my comment on the one I finished upthread, it's almost too gentle so doesn't feel like it's really cleaning.
Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream (15ml sample) - felt too thick at first, but actually sank in fairly well - it was almost as though it melted slightly as it warmed up. I think the pump broke though as it didn't last as long as I'd expect, and no way to get into it to check. This is why I prefer a pot/tube!

I'm getting close to needing to repurchase a few bits - it feels wrong to not get some kind of GWP at the same time - anyone know if there are any that are likely to come out soon? Not that I need any more samples!

Justilou1 · 26/04/2021 13:58

Klorane dry shampoo with aquatic mint done. Smells divine, but not as effective as the old oat version. I think it’s less gritty, though - but that also means that it has less volumising effect. Back to the original.

Experiment627 · 26/04/2021 14:37

Just two empties to report:

  • Garnier Ultimate Blends almond crush shampoo: very faint almond smell, at least was not too greasyfying
  • The Inkey List retinol eye cream: really liked this

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 26/04/2021 22:44

Empties

Estée Lauder double wear foundation - they only foundation that stays on me for a full work day. A regular RP.

Clarins eye gel - only a wee sample so not sure how effective. It felt good putting it on, very refreshing.

Luvacuppatea · 27/04/2021 05:32

@BookShark - Cult Beauty GWP should be available sometime today . Worth around £295 for a £150 spend 😊.

BookShark · 27/04/2021 09:32

Thanks @Luvacuppatea - order duly placed Grin

Obviously it's not helping with using up my stash, but the problem is that you never seem to get many body lotions or face washes in the GWPs. So I've got tonnes of masks (20) and mini-moisturisers (35) which I'm slowly making my way through, but still need to buy other things in the meantime - and then those things come with freebies so I end up with even more!

Hey ho, I've definitely made progress since joining this thread, so I won't dwell on it too much!

Ponks · 27/04/2021 10:52

I've also gone for the Cult Beauty goody bag... lots of bits I've been wanting to try and it's a general cheer up present to myself.

Justilou1 · 27/04/2021 11:11

@AprilLady I was sorely tempted by the Cool Crush Palette. It’s gorgeous! Nars eyeshadows are amazing aren’t they? I have had very good luck with everything except their mascaras, tbh. (Love their Glow Booster - I have the darkest and the lightest. I either mix them with foundation, wear as highlighter or wear alone. So versatile - and I don’t look like Tinkerbell crapped on my face!)

ememem84 · 27/04/2021 13:18

Aveda leave in conditioner mini finished.

clary · 27/04/2021 17:26

Ladies I am lusting after the CB GWP but I need an extra £20 item. Any great recommendations? Not moisturiser tho, but serum, hair care or body scrub all good. thx

PomLikeTheBattle · 27/04/2021 17:35

The GWP is so good - very tempted.

How about a summery body scrub like the yellow clarins?

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 27/04/2021 18:47

Nooooooo!

I succumbed.

I’m not proud.

AprilLady · 27/04/2021 20:29

Really Ree has just posted info about a Liberty GWP starting 4 May. Looks a bit less exciting than recent ones - £175 required spend and gift worth around £300. No Iphis bag this time!

VanGoghsDog · 27/04/2021 20:37

Oh bother, I just spent £75 at CB*, could have waited for the gwp.

*Jo Loves candle for myself for my birthday and MB pink peppercorn hand wash for my mum for hers. So, not £75 more toiletries!
