I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

There's a few bits I would like to try in the CB goodie bag but I definitely can't justify it with Christmas coming up and two calendars to open! I'm trying desperately to get through as much stuff as I can over the next month so definitely don't need anymore.

Strongly tempted to go for the Cult offer. I really weaken for GWPs, far more than for advent offerings. I haven’t bought an advent calendar at all.

But I have SO much in my stash to work through — so, so much — from previous Cult and Liberty bags. It’s bonkers to even consider spending £185.

Have still easily filled a fantasy basket though.

Get it because I want to order myself a bed of nails and a new foundation, also a couple of bits for my niece’s birthday, and I want some freebie minis for dds advent calendars. Some new things in the GWP I haven’t seen or heard of before which is great, no crappy Augustinian bader in sight (unless I’ve overlooked it!) and only a few repeats that I’ve had before. Certainly not ones I mind receiving again. At first glance it looked promising anyway.

I still haven’t pushed the button and I’m finding myself spending on other things to “use up” my budget/convince myself not to buy this, which is so ridiculous. Does anyone else do that? And then sometimes you end up buying the beauty stuff anyway?

Just watched LPD’s Instagram video about her bag. Off topic maybe but she pronounces Aurelia “you-ray-lee-ah”. Is that how everyone says it?! I’ve always (in my head) said it “aw-ree-lee-ah”, a bit like “aurora”, I guess.

Anyway I think I can do without her bag but it’s a nice selection, I just have a few of those products already.

Well I’ve gone for the cult GWP, the minis will be useful for the dds calendars and there are a few things I will use as they’re a bit harsh for their skin.
I bought the benefit advent calendar as they’re fiends for mascaras and eyeliners etc anyway, I bought myself a bed of nails as I’ve been curious about these, got a foundation and then the Victoria beckham lipstick trio for my niece.
Quite excited now! I didn’t get myself any advent calendar as they were so uninspiring and too many repeat products for me so this is something to look forward to.

I didn’t fancy the LPD Liberty bag at all so splurged on both the HN and CB GWPs. In my defence I have resisted all advent calendars this year and I bought some gifts for people too

I'm trying to resist the CB gift given I purchased the advent. I don't think I'd use the pink palette but I would use everything thing else.
See I didn't get a Liberty email even though I'm a Beauty Drop member 🤷‍♀️

Not had the email to buy it yet (Liberty LPD set) but saw a reveal on Instagram and it’s not for me. I refuse to believe those makeup shades are designed to suit most skin tones or even complement each other. Though I guess she is a MUA and I am not so what do I know

Quickly looked at the LPD kit reveal and thankfully it’s not for me! The surratt eye thing and the lipstick would be awful on me and frankly wasn’t fussed about the other things. Phew! One less spend.

Blue light card discount of 20% off any order over £50 applies with the gwp. So my order should have been £230 but I got it down to £185.90 and qualified for the free gift!!

I've just watched Lisa Potter-Dixon's Instagram to see the Liberty beauty bag. She is so irritating. The relaxing products are all very nice, but nothing that I need more of. The lipstick is so bright - I'd feel very self conscious in it. A different shade of the Surratt lid lacquer was in the 2019 Liberty AC. I have it and it's terrible. It creases so badly that I found it unwearable.

I’ve also watched the LPD ‘reveal’ and the Liberty kit is not for me either. (Agree she’s very irritating @Housewife2010). The makeup is not for me and I already have an unopened Aurelia night oil from a previous Liberty kit or gift, so don’t need another. The only items that appeal are the candle and the bath salts and I’m certainly not paying £60 for two items, especially as the bath salts are a refill pack so are not even beautifully packaged. So M&S will be getting my money for their advent calendar 😊

Today was my lucky day! I wanted to re-order some Revitalash (totally spendy but really works) and need a new pair of Tweezermans and along came the CB GWP. I really have way too many products to use up but it made sense to throw a couple more items in my basket and get some freebies! It looks like a really good mix of lots of things I haven’t tried before. No more spending for me this year and most of the next (I may have bought a few ACs as well!)

I watched the Liberty reveal too ( on Instagram ) and I thought the surratt highlighter, well the way it looked on her, it actually put me off. I know she was just doing a quick flash but .... what else was there in the going out bit? The lipstick, the eyeshadow, was there another? I'd love more perfume samples.

There was a mini Hourglass mascara too. Perfume would have been a really good addition
