I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

My Glamour beauty box arrived the other day (£32.99). I've used the L'Oréal Wonder Water and the Paula's Choice BHA in the past and would have repurchased them both at some point, so those two in full size made it worth it for me. The Milk moisturiser is also a full size and there's a bonus full size Milk mascara that isn't listed in the contents!

For any Votary superseed fans out there, Liberty have a beauty kit right now that includes a full sized (50ml) jar of the cream rrp £65. Cost of the kit is £50 for £240 worth of stuff, including a wash bag. It’s billed as being for ‘men who moisturise’ but is actually pretty unisex. Think I might get this as I have £20 in my beauty bunk, so ‘only’ another £30 😂

Looks like a good Christmas gift for men. It’s probably so reasonably priced because men wouldn’t spend more, so their pricing strategy fits to suit.

Yes, men are clevererer than us silly gullible wimmin and wouldn't dream of spending their hard-earned money on beauty products.

Though obviously, if it's a gift then it wouldn't actually being the man buying it, so the pricing strategy is off. Someone's missed a trick...

I think to be fair to Liberty, their gift collections are often massively reduced. I mean those toilet bags on their own are worth over £40.

How do you use your beauty balance? Is it obvious at checkout?

@LizzieMacQueen I’ve not tried using my beauty drop money yet. I’ve put my ‘sensible head’ back on now and reverted back to my original idea of waiting for the next Liberty GWP and using it against the qualifying spend then ..... I’ve actually got a pot of the Votary cream unopened here, so that will last me a long, long time, so I’m going to resist the kit (for now 😂)

That Liberty bag is pretty good value. The superseed cream is too thick for my liking - though a lovely gift.

When I'm not in the mood to pay £45 for my Elemis cleanser I sometimes get the Evolve beauty cleansing balm and it's brilliant.

That same Liberty men’s bag was on sale earlier in the year too — in spring, maybe? I bought it because I pretty much cave in to all their bags of that type. Really good value and the shampoo smells lovely.

I've just ordered the Drunk Elephant trunk, justified to myself as I've not ordered an advent calendar and I use a fair number of their products.

The JL beauty weekend goody bag is awesome. I never really got warm feelings about Charlotte tilbury but really like the lipstick from there so ordered an eyeliner

Managed to get the cult beauty advent today. Noticed the other day how the website felt like look fantastic. On the CB order confirmation it shows the hut group so same as look fantastic, glossy box etc.

@Housewife2010 still waiting for my beauty drop box although have about a dozen Hermes parcels on the way today apparently so hopefully one of them is it! I must admit I forgot about it and am now feeling extra guilty for succumbing to CB advent hype this morning 🤦‍♀️

@Bananaman123 we are all v sad about the takeover of CB by the Hut Group. Changes the site for me - I used to tend to go there ahead of other retailers but now I don't feel that way .. guess we'll see. They're trying very hard to insist it's still the same site/service etc on their Instagram. They've received such a massive backlash, especially from international buyers. When I lived abroad it was great as the prices were minus 20% VAT and they delivered to nearly every country.

Cult Beauty have now raised the free delivery to orders over £25. Previously it was £20. Space NK responded immediately by dropping their free delivery from £40 to £20. Space NK also remove UK VAT for oversea customers to they will be gaining lots of CB's disgruntled customers.

@Housewife2010 that's interesting about Space NK - good for them for reacting to an opportunity.
I tended to only go to space NK if I cant get what I want at CB but now I think it'll be my first choice - given the points and the physical stores etc.
I wonder if CB will introduce a loyalty scheme .. they said on insta they'll shortly be launching an app

Yes I'm the same, Space NK is normally my second choice but think I will start heading there before CB now!
