Fidji has arrived - it's gorgeous & redolent of hyacinths & spring. In complete contrast to the snow outside and the -5 wind chill here today.

SOTD DS&Durga Amber Kiso, nice and warm and spicy but not as smoky as I’d hoped. May overlay with some Bois d’ascese.

Yes, riotslady. By The Fireplace is definitely cozy “chestnuts roasting by an open fire” 🎼 😊. I’ve now finished off my sample. I did love it, but don’t think I can justify a full bottle. I know Bee likes the PP version, so I might try that.

SOTD is Ruth Mastenbroek’s Amorosa from a sample. This is a rich white floral with melon/aquatic notes. Very classy and distinctive. I had the chance of buying a bottle of this half price from Les Senteurs some years ago but passed. I’ve always slightly regretted that. 🤦‍♀️

The pp version of BTF is really excellent calm worth £14 any day of the week 😀

Lovely. Incense, smoke, but am underlying sweetness in the dry down. Not cloying though.

Yesterday I wore Zoologist Bee (thank you for the sample Bee!). It is a rich honeyed floral. The opening is almost cloying, but the dry down is heavenly.

Today I’m wearing one of my top twenty favourites, Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka. This one is a long-lasting sweet floral infused with earthy liquorice. The bottle is amazing, apple shaped with purple perfume and gold designs on the glass.

SOTD Papillon Dryad. fantastic vintage style mossy chypre. Funnily enough, I had a sample of the new Papillon in the post today - Spell 125. It's a fabulous incensey one full of mystery and a bit of witchery!

Hi all, i've been wearing my vintage Paris decant all week pretty much, interspersed with the odd squirt of Fidji.
Dryad was great until the Fern note became prominent and sadly it doesn't play well on my skin. Same with Litchi/Lychee! for some reason.
The new perfume sounds very intriguing @MissBattleaxe.
Anyone else counting down the days until the restart of proper school?
