Just that really !

Lockdown has got me pretty down and as it's payday weekend I wanted to ask what small things you're treating yourselves too .... I'm also missing a Saturday mooching & shopping ☹️

So far my list is ;

Mumsnet recommended Origins Ginger Fizz bath float www.marksandspencer.com/ginger-float-cream-bubble-bath-500ml/p/hbp60151640

Pomegranate Candle from a small company in my area that just launched www.celonalondon.com/

Also got my eye on some Panzers cookies panzers.co.uk/bakery/panzers-valentines-linzer-biscuits/

Inspire me !!! Bath products !! Brownies in a box . What are you buying?

Lighthearted fun please. Yes I know we are in a pandemic.

@lockdownalli your box sounds amazing! I really like that All Saints top but its £48 on the website. So are the items cheaper through Stitchfix? Jumper and jeans also sound fabulous.
Are the returns free?

I'm so tempted!

lockdownalli · 10/02/2021 20:26

@Pigtailsandall Yes the All Saints top was £48 so that's what I would have got off total bill if I sent it back - however, you get a 20% discount if you keep all five items, so I paid £155.59 for all five, and would have paid £148.49 if I sent the top back so I effectively got it for £6/7. It's really nice, it's just that oversized style that I may be a bit too old to appreciate Smile

returns are easy - just go to PO and it's free return. Label included with box. You don't pay a bean until you decide what you want and "check out" your order.

Give it a go - you don't have anything to lose if you use the link as you get £15 off, and the styling fee, which is £10 is removed if you keep even one thing, so you won't pay anything - free delivery and returns.

Also, you get to play with the daily style fix which as PP have said is totally addictive!!

I bought myself a new tracksuit from matalan seeing as I seem to be living in joggers atm...currently sat here in it with a glass of prosecco and chambord. Been trying to follow keto diet and feel like I've lost a little bit of duff so might buy a couple of new look dresses but not sure when they will be worn lol x

Chickoletta · 12/02/2021 18:50

Bought myself a new Boden Breton top and we’re having the M&S Valentine Dine In meal tomorrow night. Not terribly extravagant at £20 for 2 but as I’m on Slimming World and also trying to cut back on the booze at the moment I can’t bloody wait for profiteroles and Prosecco...!!

Sarahclacko · 12/02/2021 21:32

@lockdownalli just used your referral link thank you Smile

ShaunaTheSheep · 13/02/2021 08:25

Great thread.
Ive just spent my Christmas money on
Summer weight waffle cotton robes from Seasalt - love a dressing gown and these were in the sale
Mint Velvet jumper - a splurge but I love the striped cuff detail
White Stuff wide legged jeans- another sale bargain

Also bought patio furniture, ready for the summer, getting in early as they were out of stock all last summer.

Imissmoominmama · 13/02/2021 10:01

I have a new Patagonia Stormracer waterproof and some thin icebreaker merino gloves that I can use my phone whilst wearing (ordered after a painful experience taking photos in the snow).

I also sneaked another base layer onto the icebreaker order.

Pigtailsandall · 13/02/2021 11:26

I've just ordered the Baukjen palazzo trousers. Was looking for something which was a step up from joggers but not denim.
I also got a white cardigan from the sale section. It looks nice but few reviews weren't flattering so let's see.

Ponks · 13/02/2021 11:32

I have treated myself to some Sanctuary sugar scrub and body wash. Love a bath with some nice smellies.

Lemonyfuckit · 13/02/2021 11:39

I am loving this thread, getting lots of inspiration including some brands I wasn't aware of.
After a long, tiring and fairly shit week (coupled with the general lockdown shit-ness) I am definitely in the mood to treat myself via some retail therapy.

This week my shopping has been somewhat random and out of the ordinary- a picture fell off the wall and smashed two decanters on the way down. In a bid to try and find a replacement I discovered EBay...dangerous.. and now have replaced the two broken decanters with four new ones.... Grin

Also just booked an online consultation with a dermatologist. I had been planning (and saving up for) some minor Botox and maybe a little filler as my first foray into this area this year - about to turn 39 and also getting married later in the year. Anyway lockdown/stress/overwork or whatever and my skin has gone to pot this past month so figured now is definitely a good time and bite the bullet and start speaking to a professional even if obviously can't have any treatments at the moment at least in the meantime can up the ante to some medical grade skincare (but if anyone has any recommendations in the meantime - never usually suffer with breakouts at all but in the last month my forehead is suffering - I don't have a fringe so no hair on it, can't thing what has changed apart from maybe stress plus cold weather).

Lemonyfuckit · 13/02/2021 11:40

I think someone up thread (was it @stevalnamechanger?) said they were on the lookout for some lovely warm slippers - I LOVE my Celtic & Co ones, lots of different styles and so warm.

Tals812 · 13/02/2021 11:48

Last thing I ordered online were mop heads, before that, boxers for dh, then present for niece. This thread reminded me to treat myself 😃 . @Wrinklyeyes I've bought the makeup bag too, thanks for the link.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/02/2021 11:51

I went wild in Holland and Barrett (rock and roll) and bought this face wash. I've already got the day and night moisturisers and really like them.

Also bought a selection of half price essential oils - I'm trying where possible to avoid plastic, so I use a few drops of oil in the bath, instead of bubble bath.

I also ordered a cheese hamper, which was probably the most exciting treat!

mrschocolatte · 13/02/2021 11:58

@Pigtailsandall Great minds! I ordered the palazzo trousers earlier this week. A little nervous as I ordered a size down based on the reviews so fingers crossed they will be a nice fit.

ApolloandDaphne · 13/02/2021 15:42

I treated myself to a new nail polish as I had to go to Boots anyway so thought I might as well. Sunday is my nail day so I am looking forward to trying it. It's an Essie one in a pale pink. Can't remember what it is called.

Lemonyfuckit · 13/02/2021 18:44

After reading another thread on Style and Beauty I have since treated myself to two Lisa Eldridge red lipsticks which I've had my eye for ages. I still haven't found quite the right red and I'm hoping I'll get lucky with one of them. Not sure I'm bold enough to wear them mind!

Rainbows2021 · 13/02/2021 18:58

Brought my DH some more pricier beer than he would normally buy.
Brought a black jumper from monsoon, some new leggings and I'm searching for a new peice of jewellery as I've been given some money for something nice.
Treated us to a costa hot chocolate.

BaconAndAvocado · 13/02/2021 18:59

I've now spent all my Christmas money on:
Liz Earle haul with free perfume
Boden top
2 Revolution make up hauls
Charlotte Tilbury under eye concealer

Will have to save up now for anything gorgeous.

ChequerBoard · 13/02/2021 19:10

I've just tested myself to some Curlsmith hair products. I've been meaning to try them for ages and just discovered that they have a Valentines Day offer with 25% so that was an unexpected bonus!

Cocolapew · 13/02/2021 19:24

I bought a big bag of epsom salts for my bath
A black v neck, batwing sleeve jumper from Tesco, I'm obsessed with bat wing sleeves Blush
And these boots

To ask what you're treating yourself to this weekend ?
Pigtailsandall · 13/02/2021 19:28

@mrschocolatte oh I've ordered my regular size. Although post-December my tummy feels a bit more round than before so maybe my regular size isn't my regular size anymore... let's swap notes when they arrive

@cocolapew I love those boots! Get them!

Ordered an eyebrow pencil from Benefit as old one is running out. Their brow stuff is just the best

ouchmyfeet · 13/02/2021 19:57

Lovely Miller Harris perfume on offer at TK max. It's making me feel summery while I sit at my desk with my light box on Smile

HelloDulling · 13/02/2021 19:59

Ordered some flowers to be delivered on Weds.

MabelMoo23 · 13/02/2021 23:12

Great thread.

So I had to go for an eye test today, apparently I bloody need varifocals! So that was £400 gone on lenses and frames. Didn’t expect that

But I’ve also just ordered a new Victoria Beckham Beauty eyeliner in a gorgeous grey colour

www.victoriabeckhambeauty.com/private-ash/?utm_source=Victoria%20Beckham%20Beauty&utm_campaign=5fdfd4aee1-EMAIL_20210212_ash-private-launch&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a4e4df2c74-5fdfd4aee1-356280149&mc_cid=5fdfd4aee1&mc_eid=46c489f351

VenusClapTrap · 14/02/2021 08:15

@ouchmyfeet that got me all excited - I LOVE Miller Harris perfumes, but I can’t see them on the TKMaxx website Sad
