Just that really !

Lockdown has got me pretty down and as it's payday weekend I wanted to ask what small things you're treating yourselves too .... I'm also missing a Saturday mooching & shopping ☹️

So far my list is ;

Mumsnet recommended Origins Ginger Fizz bath float www.marksandspencer.com/ginger-float-cream-bubble-bath-500ml/p/hbp60151640

Pomegranate Candle from a small company in my area that just launched www.celonalondon.com/

Also got my eye on some Panzers cookies panzers.co.uk/bakery/panzers-valentines-linzer-biscuits/

Inspire me !!! Bath products !! Brownies in a box . What are you buying?

Lighthearted fun please. Yes I know we are in a pandemic.

A few beauty pie bits and a baukjen belt.

TheTeaFairy · 06/02/2021 17:00

@Melange99 would you mind reporting back on your Glossier products?
How did you work out which shade you are? Smile

Offredismysister · 06/02/2021 17:29

This weekend I’ve ordered some snag tights & a dress from toast.

KnitFastDieWarm · 06/02/2021 17:39

Another bottle of Sunday Riley A+ retinol. That stuff is expensive but my god it works!

PrettyCherryBlossom · 06/02/2021 17:45

@lockdownalli thanks for your referral link, I’ve signed up for my first stitch fix. Excited to see what comes! Something to look forward to on these depressing winter days

Brogues · 06/02/2021 18:43

@SummaLuvin that’s for your reviews. Shame about the belt colour - I’ll have a look at their other colours.

Brogues · 06/02/2021 18:43

Thanks not that’s!

PrettyCherry Blossom You are welcome - that is exactly how I think of it. Even though I sort of know three of the things I will be getting as I pre-approved them from a selection they sent me, it's still so exciting when the box arrives Grin

Mine comes next week and I will post the styling cards that come with it so you can see what I got. It may sound odd to do that, but my last box I shared, and someone posted that I couldn't have had such nice things because their box was crap etc etc.....So I will prove it this time Grin

Actually, being really shit at styling myself I really like the styling cards they send with each item. The daily online thingy where you give randomly generated items a thumbs up or down is also great fun. I do that every day and reckon that may be part of the reason why I get such suitable selections.

I ordered some Colour Wow root treatment from M&S today because it is on offer and I am hoping to have an internal job interview before the hairdressers open again. I have never tried it before but a friend swears by it. Also ordered some Royal Jelly handcream and handwash, and a hand cream trio. With all the hand washing I think my hands are looking a bit aged Sad

HappyGirlNow · 06/02/2021 19:14

I ordered these this morning... don’t ask me why.. not exactly sunglasses weather 💁🏻‍♀️😬

I've had some Glossier stuff this weekend. Got myself some lovely prints from Desenio to brighten up a bare wall. I am looking at Scream Pretty for some new earrings.

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 06/02/2021 19:45

Cult Beauty tempted me with a 'Birthday' 15% off - so I gave in and made my annual purchase of Barbara Sturm Enzyme Cleanser. (Best I've ever used.) Was forced to buy the bigger size of Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow because the smaller was out of stock. I'm hoping it will last long enough for me to forget the feeling of painful extravagance. Oh, and an Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade which is a leap of faith - have been using Tom Ford brow stuff for years.

It has taken me until now to realise that all my meaningful encounters will be on FaceTime and Zoom for quite a while, so I can't actually get away with not replacing face stuff just because I'm not going out.

Also a citrus coloured wool/silk/cashmere jumper in the Studio Nicholson sale. Had persuaded myself there was no point in new clothes right now - but a friend has tentatively suggested a Scottish jaunt at the end of summer, and it might look extremely cute with some reckless shorts and brightly painted toenails.

@lockdownalli I have also used your referral so thank you very much for that. I am rubbish at styling myself so am interested to see what I get. Question, can you change any or your preferences you do when you first sign up? I wish I wrote more where you get the chance to at the end and said no to shoes.

1stimeboymum · 06/02/2021 19:58

@lockdownalli also at what point do they take payment and will you be notified of amount beforehand?

Thurlow · 06/02/2021 19:58

I treated myself after everyone's shit 2020 to a wedding band to go with my ring. Money k shouldn't spend but hey ho. Also impulse bought a Libby Loves jumper today from a little boutique that was open for click and collect but let me buy it as I could see it in the window.

To ask what you're treating yourself to this weekend ?
OhTheTastyNuts · 06/02/2021 20:10

Lovely ring @Thurlow . Really beautiful.

lockdownalli · 06/02/2021 20:31

Yes absolutely. Just go to your account, click on style and then style profile and you can change whatever you want.

You do not pay anything until you have decided what you want/don't want and have "checked out" your order. Don't forget you get a 20% discount if you keep everything which works out sometimes you might get an item you aren't sure about for free...

Elsabet · 06/02/2021 20:41

Getting prepared for the summer! A One Hundred Stars mini kimono, out of the comfort zone.

Kilpitlees · 06/02/2021 20:45

ghd Platinum plus straighteners ... I left my old ones on all day and only one plate was working Sad
Olivia crew neck jumper in cream from Ost London: oestlondon.com/collections/knitwear/products/olivia-crew-neck-5
Also a ceramic piece from Hilke MacIntyre:
hilke.macintyre-art.com/ceramics/
I am thinking about buying a Mint Velvet bag but hate buying anything without a discount code (ceramics being the exception grin) ... anyone got one?

1stimeboymum · 06/02/2021 21:32

@lockdownalli that's great thank you Smile

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 06/02/2021 21:38

Ordered some of this to try. My hair and skin both love oil, so hoping I'll like this.

curiouscuriouscurious · 06/02/2021 21:47

Foreo bear 🤣

lockdownalli · 06/02/2021 21:48

Oh I love that Nuxe oil @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal. I rub it into my old lady knees and elbows and sometimes my face. It smells so gorgeous.

JaceLancs · 06/02/2021 23:34

Vivienne Westwood scarf to go with my new coat from last weekends shopping spree

lockdownalli · 10/02/2021 19:52

Stitchfix Box arrived today!!

Here's what I got - five items, total cost £155.59

All Saints Oversized Black Tee This is really thick and great quality. I have never had anything from this brand before but see it discussed on the board lots. It's very oversized but will be nice for flumping around in when the weather improves a little.

Mango High Waisted Skinny Jeans These are BLOODY AMAZING! I swear they make me look at least a size smaller. Very skinny in the leg, nice high waist. Very happy.

Three photos attached (I can only attach three, sorry) for the other pieces.

&ET Purple sweatshirt with puff sleeves. My photographic skills are shit, sorry. It's actually more of a bright purple colour. They send styling cards with the items. This is nice and thick and could be worn with jeans or a skirt. I really like the colour and the puff sleeves which make it a bit different.

Mauvette V neck blouse. This is a lovely bright colour (I had requested a couple of tops in jewel colours) and is a really interesting design. Looks great with the jeans and Chelsea boots.

Finally, Mauvette soft woolly jumper. This is SOFT. I like the V neck and it's a good length on me.

If it weren't for the 20% discount for keeping everything, I probably would have sent the All Saints top back, purely because it is a bit big, but although I know you can exchange for smaller size, I cba, and I am probably just being stupidly old fashioned, because this oversized look is really fashionable. As it is, I get £41.40 discount for having everything, and the AS top was the most expensive item at £48, so really I am getting it for £6.60, right? Grin

Here's my £15 off link again if anyone is tempted.
